I default towards melee rogues and similar DPS roles. I like getting up in the action and stabbing away at an enemies health. And being able to move all around a battlefield.
SWTOR got me into playing Tank roles, though, with my Bounty Hunter and that's surprisingly fun.
I think I flip between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. I have the drive and cunning of a Slytherin, but I'm pretty focused on knowledge, sharing knowledge and spreading knowledge. So... there's that.
(Unfortunately, PC is basically my only platform). Though yes, I've played a few point-and-click games besides Tell Tale ones. Actually that was something I really liked about Tell Tale games - point-and-click often gets a lot of flack these days, but I thought TT did a pretty good job of fine...
Like, their engine feels to similar between games? (TWD feels like TftB and like TWAU?) Because, um, I have some bad news about game companies for you? (':3)
But if you mean it feels too samey compared to non-Tell Tale games... please tell me which games! I would love more games like Tell...
Whaddaya mean?
I actually have the opposite wish, I think ( :P ) The Wolf Among Us and TWD1 both had pretty good controls, in my opinion, but later games the controls weren't as simple to pick up. I got pretty frustrated a whole bunch with TWD2 because the game just... didn't register me...
That was somewhat my point. Worm does a great job of making it so pretty much everyone could be the strongest. Even weak powers have shockingly strong exploits and strong powers always have accessible achille's heels.
It's cool because it makes most of the fights tough, but kinda even? Also I...
I had to refute those points, but I generally don't do the "Who's the strongest in Worm?" debate. I mean, it's a huge thing in Worm that everyone is more powerful/deadly than they seem at first. Case in point: Skitter herself, obviously.
Yeeeesssssssss!!!!!!! I'm so glad someone else started out on Sam & Max and Monkey Island!
I only played a little Monkey Island, but Sam & Max Hit the Road was my childhood game and I was overly ecstatic when Telltale arrive and announced they were making new Sam & Max games. I love the new...
It's very tempting but I have a lot of practice at avoiding every and all things for any game/film/tv show I like that's soon to release (:3) I find it more exciting/fun this way. My brain doesn't like repeating things, so I find seeing stuff even once can spoil experiences for me.
Let me know...
@Lokipi - aah slap-dash is good (:3)
Oh I think S2 of TWD did a lot of things good and right - Clem was absolutely stunning and I super enjoyed playing her and making decisions with her. But I felt the narrative had a drop in quality - each episode of S1 felt like a long time but S2's eps felt...
The Wolf Among Us was my first Telltale game (uh, out of the new games, anyway) and gosh I was so glad, I loved that game. I was a fan of the comics and it was so cool to see the Fables get a game. It was awesome to play Bigby and I thought that the Crooked Man was a pretty cool villain. But...
Oh heck yeah. The second Worm becomes a published book - even just an ebook - I am buying that up so hard. And, like, buying copies for all my friends. If Work gets a physical print, I'm so interested in how it'll be divided - it's such a massive story, but it does have a few natural dips where...
I think the world of Pact had beautiful potential. I personally like the story, but somehow I like the world it conjured way more than the narrative (the rules of magic and the creatures and etc).
<p>
Has anyone read any of Wildbow's stories? I've been rereading Worm lately (listening to the audiobook) and it's gotten me thinking about parahumans (:3) If you read any of their works, what did you think? Did you like them? I've read Worm and Pact, loved both. Wildbow is great at coming...
Speaking of proper character creation; amusingly in the 'prologue' Varric will always describe a white Hawke family - which is pretty racist if you end up making a not-white Hawke ( O.o )
My dad told me to go to bed at 8pm every night, only allowing me to 'stay up' until 8.30pm so as to having some reading time. He didn't stop until I was forteen and a psychologist told him it was her professional opinion that he needed to raise my gosh darn bed time.
And my mum told me not to...
