Hey, this is pretty neat! I love the idea of building up different player characters in a 1x1 story before bringing them into a group. It's kinda like replacing the "backstory" section of a character's sheet with an RP itself.

I like contests, but only when they're online where if I embarrass myself it doesn't ruin my entire social life (implying I have one haha). It's up to you what you want to do. You should go with the first option if you think you can handle five people. If not, you should go with the contest.

@TwistedTruth The only stats will be health and mana/stamina. Character growth comes from getting new equipment and learning abilities. There's no dice, combat success is determined only by how well you use the environment and your character's abilities.

This RP isn't time-sensitive. You can reply whenever you want, at your leisure. Pontiff's just saying that he'll make everyone's starting post at 5PM, but you're not required to reply and continue to reply immediately at that time.
