Its not that bad. Just pull up a list of Marine MOS's. The one I have has the numbers, rank requirements and job descriptions. But yeah I was a bit confused on why your character is ex special forces but a came in as private.

311 but I doubt former special forces would go the enlisted route instead of going for an officer's paygrade, but its your character so he probably has his reasons

Infantry officer, but considering your character is like 25 and a private that isnt possible.

Which gets even more complicated cause the marines technically dont have an 11 series like the Army does but instead have 300 series

I know its a real thing but ranger isnt a military occupation speciality its just a specialized unit of infantry (11Bs and 11Cs) and for that matter the marines have no ranger units

I like it except on incredibly minor nitpick, which is that "ranger" isnt an mos in the army or the marines.
