I know, I was just being a smartass. Genocide's when you kill a specific group of humans. Since animals are a different species, it would be speciescide, not genocide. But yeah, we're not gonna kill all of them off.

I think it's possible that some cows and other domesticated animals might survive if they were all released. Most of them would probably die, but the ones who learn how to survive in the natural world would persist. If there's enough of them still left, maybe they can repopulate into wild breeds...
