Just about all of you suck.
I just left over a dozen conversations where I had the last post - 2 weeks ago.
Don't worry folks I'm still in contact with, we're cool. I love you.
He is the second born prince. His older brother will one day be king. He is dating an American girl and they are used to the camera in their face every now and again. Then...the older brother dies and he is now heir to the throne. Can they handle all the sudden press in their faces?

Bump.
One thought on activity. There's a population on these forums that is ok with posting once a week or so. There is also a large portion of our population that flakes, ghosts, or loses interest in rps rather quickly. I wonder how much overlap there is. I think that an RP you only feel...
Asterisks are a hold over from chat venues and indicate thoughts. Another method is to use :: to switch between descriptions and words. I would guess they arose because most chat programs don't deal with paragraph breaks well.
I think that while they are both useful in a chat venue, they do...
Naomi crosses the campus debating her defensive options against the cold. She could trot to warm her body. Her laptop was light enough, and she was an experienced jogger, but the sharp scent of frost convinces her that would only lead to a sore throat. She considers her balaclava but vanity...
I am not sure to what degree you are being ironic, cynical, and honest. I could've written your post, except, y'know, better because I'm the greatest role player the world's ever seen. Oh, and I make sure I get last post in all my conversations and 1x1 threads.
So I think I'm game?

Just about everyone everywhere says they don't like one-liners. It should just be a prerequisite for the whole site. I sometimes think that the conflict is in the definition. I see more people say "no one-liners!" then I've seen actual one liners, or posts that might count as one liners...
I liked everything in the top half of your post, but I have no experience with romance. My characters tend to be coy as hell about it. Also, I do have a life, or at least a job. I would post daily most of the time, probably more than once an evening, but if I had something going on there...
A group needs a leader and manager to say how things are, so it's best to put that out up front. A group has many competing people and needs a referent for what is allowed.
In a 1x1 you're equals and can change the world and break the rules more easily.
