If you simply wanted to showcase the writings of the protagonist (and he mirrors your dream and personality himself) then why don't you just make an anthology of these said writings? There is a difference in "Writing a story about writing" and "Writing to showcase this person's writings".
With...
If the writing uses italics as well, then I personally prefer to either remove the italic formatting from the part you intended to italicize, or put it in bold.
I advise against showing the whole novel. Write a few chapters, maybe, or show him writing it, but do not show the whole novel. You...
May I ask why you don't want to use italics or bold formatting? I was about to suggest italics since that's usually how I denote flashbacks, thoughts, or scenes otherwise unrelated to the main idea of the chapter.
That being said, maybe you could use indentations. Indent the part where the...

You don't know how long I've been waiting to vent. (As a small disclaimer, it's been a while since I watched the movies and it has also been a while since I played the WFC games and studied the lore. If I get things wrong, just take my words with a grain of salt.)
The entirety...
I admittedly haven't been watching a whole lot of anime since I tend to dedicate my time on one anime only when I'm watching something, but I do have a few favorites under my belt.
- First one off the top of my head would be Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. Awesome machines, awesome...
...on Animal Jam (or said MMOs) get a special mention for cringe for me. The amount of godmodding, powerplaying and metagaming is amazing.
Person A: *bites down on (Person B)'s neck no miss no nothing*
Person B: *breaks away and runs off* WAAAAH, MOMMY!
And so on and so forth.
- Walked in on...
Floccinaucinihilipilification.
Its literal meaning is the act of considering or estimating something as worthless. Like all the syllables in the word itself.
Jumping on the anime-esque cover art train here. I particularly like Roselia's album and single covers from the BanG Dream series.
They're just so starkly different from the other bands in the series, who all show up on their covers. I don't think there's ever been a Roselia cover that shows...
"We Are Number One" from LazyTown but different versions. All day. Every day. "We are Number One but every one is replaced with the trumpet solo from Shrek". "We are Number One but every one is replaced with anime noises". "We are Number One but it's in Latin".
Without fail.
Echoing a few sentiments here. I can't stand overly vulgar and profane rap. I generally have no problems with mainstream music if they sound genuinely good to me, but some of the stuff on the top charts nowadays just...eugh.
Pop and idol music too. I have a choice few I do enjoy (like Pyxis)...
Gonna quote something one of the above users said:
Or, in more "flowery" terms, "If you keep your pen on one point only in the paper, all you'll get is a big puddle of ink." I find that it's easier to start thinking more of how things are going to go once you actually start writing it from the...
Hoo boy...like many others in the thread, my music tastes tend to change often. Off the top of my head, here are a few I've been listening to pretty recently that I think are absolute must-hears:
1. VigilaNTe - Sawano Hiroyuki[nZk] feat. mpi & Gemie
- Words can't express how cool this song is...
I never paid attention much to types, but I guess I really like Dragon, Grass, and Fighting.
I wasn't that big into the Dragon hype back then since they were so difficult to raise if you're playing casually (and Ghetis's Hydreigon is the most annoying thing I've met so far in a Pokemon game...
deep breath
Love Live School Idol Project. I wish I could say BanG Dream but at least for BanG Dream, I can say that I like the bands. But idols? School idols? High school girls dancing around in frilly outfits and singing songs about love (and that one LOVELESS WORLD thing they did)?
...I'm...
The Dragon Lords - Fool's Gold. Best comedic fantasy novel I've read in a while. The situation is so bleak but the characters are so fun to read about, not to mention the jokes are amazing.
Current obsession would be the God Eater series, especially with the release of God Eater 3. Those graphics are just amazing.
Another would be Osu! Been playing since an old friend introduced it to me. Slowly crawling my way up the rankings just to get that one achievement.
I rarely ever read any classics for fun since I prefer to read whatever I have lying around...which are usually books with cool covers. That and the last time I read The Invisible Man for a class, I had to give a science lesson on how he turned himself invisible to a class of bored eighth...
Not really that big of a movie buff myself, so I didn't really pay much attention to the live action movies in the making...until I saw that live action Dora the Explorer and news of live action Sonic.
I don't mind the other new live action films. I mean, I'm looking forward to The Lion King...

"See that guy standing in the middle of all this chaos with a weird look on his face?
Yeah. That's me.
And I should probably tell you all about how I got into this situation..."
