The Blackscale crosses her axes to block, but Garret's terrible strength bats them aside and she is forced to dive backwards into a roll to avoid a punch to the face. She comes out of her roll breathing...
Damn, that is depressing! I completely understand being excited about being discharged after being stuck in the hospital for so long.
Good hit! It's amazing what a Lunar can do against armour with their bare hands!
Ah, one more question about languages. What are the languages of erudition? The world equivalents of French, Latin, Italian, Greek, whatever's in vogue for scholars of the day? I assume the native tongue of the Maerlyn is one of them.
Perfect, thank you! Where does our game begin, and what relation does it have, if any to Illim? How far away is it? I presume the Stonecutters have a presence here, as Meredith's character is also assocaited with them.
@Grey Apologies I haven't cleaned up my character into a finished product. In trying to convert the outline into prose, I keep bouncing off things like not knowing what culture to belong to, how to choose a name (should we be germanic? I think the game is set in the fantasy HRE, so probably a...
Oh, and I completely forgot Garret has a permanent -1 DV from DBT! Were you accounting for that previously when under attack? If not, no worries, I'll try to remember it in future.
So you spent 10m on the Strength Excellency (Stunting in Stamina to increase the cap to 10?). Then you also spent 5 more motes on the Strength Excellency to boost your damage by 5. DBT only adds your base Strength to your damage, so 5. So 17 total motes on this attack?
So 3 net hits + 3 divine...
@Tachyon feel free to declare yourself one of the two soldiers who carried Sjet into the tower, if you wish. I forget if you know anything about medicine, but you certainly know how to carry someone.
Her soak is 11! She'll raise her Parry to 8. DBT adds to damage, not attack rolls. Did you want to spend 10m on the excellency instead of 5 by stunting in a second attribute at 5?
Your damage would be 7 + 5 + 5 + 3 + 3 = 23 - 11 = 12 dice of damage if you spend the extra motes on the...
I'm happy to hear the doctors think it's safe to send you home! I hope your lungs stay precisely as full as you want them to, for as long as you want them to.

Sayuri, you draw the string of your dread jade powerbow taut, and as you let fly your arrow a backdraft of cherry blossoms swirls around you, your body limned with a soft green light. You feel the rush of essence flowing through you. The arrow...
In that 35 contains 5, and 5 is the answer, yes! That's 5i damage to the Aurochs, and Sayuri gains 6i, bumping her up to 13i. Now the enemy wind dancers are up, and then it's Garret and Sjet's turn!
Yes! But as Red Shadow Claws mentioned, you deal 9 dice of damage. Where Exalted and D&D differ is you then roll those dice to find out how much damage you actually deal, so roll 9d10 and count your successes.
...want to keep the stats for your bow in your character sheet somewhere.
