    “Woah, woah, woah!” Carson shouts, backing away with his arm out to protect the other two.

    “I’d kill you all,” Paolo-Myles grinned, “but I can’t in this boy’s weak little body. So, I’ll just kill him instead.”

    “No!” The three others screamed in unison as Paolo-Myles raised the knife to his own throat. As he cut, blood spurted and spluttered from the opening. Myles, finally coming to reality, grabs his throat. Paolo was gone.

    “Myles!” Elaine cries out, rushing to him and leaning over. She looked into his eyes. He mouthed the words ‘I’m sorry’ before he drowned in his own blood. This caused Elaine’s tears to flow faster. She and Gracelynn screamed. Myles was gone too. Forever.

    Carson pulled Elaine up and out of the Hospital on Poveglia. Grace ran after them. Elaine Thatcher had known Myles since they were toddlers. What was her mum going to say? What about Mrs. Smith? She was never coming back. Ever.

    I've been using Google Docs just for the peace of mind that I know my stuff isn't going anywhere if something happens to my computer, but now I'm kind of curious about how Word handles writing. Maybe I'll try it out

    I use Google Docs because my Microsoft Office refused to validate after a Windows update and I couldn't type in it without validating. 🤷‍♀️

    0, and I don't plan on it, but not because I think it's bad (I've heard very good things, actually). I've read the first three books and I've resolved not to read any more -- again, not because they're bad. They were quite good. But I get far too attached to characters for this series to be much fun for me.

    I read the Lord of the Rings first, which I think prejudices me more towards it. When I first read the Hobbit, I kept expecting it to be more like LotR, and that's unfair. They're different flavors of writing, intended to tell different stories in different ways. I do mean to try to read the Hobbit with a more open mind one of these days. ^33^

    I like both sets of movies. I like the LotR books more than The Hobbit if I am honest.
