Nice! Thanks for the info. Now I know whom to steal XD
People who say "I only roleplay MxF, sorry. I have nothing against LGBT people whatsoever, it's just not in my wheelhouse" do not make any sense to me. So you can come up with an entire universe full of giant robots but girls kissing is somehow unimaginable?

It's specifically the wording of "it's outside my wheelhouse" that confuses me. Like surely inventing magic systems was also outside of your wheelhouse at some point?

I absolutely get that it's a preference and I definitely wouldn't want people to roleplay what doesn't interest them, whether that's genres or topics or certain pairings. Not saying that that's in any way a bad thing. It just confuses me personally.

I see where you're coming from but I don't think that's a fair comparison. Some people might like to create characters that resemble themselves in the real world, characters they can personally identify with and then insert them into a fictional world that has magic systems in it.

I agree with TryingMyBest TryingMyBest its a lot easier if it’s a character you can identify with. Especially more so if you make the similarities even more personal or prominent.
Just started my first roleplay (I'm a leader, not a follower! Well, details person, not a big-picture plot person) and I am ANXIOUS ABOUT IT
