Earlier today, I posted a status update on the RpNation website that read "i prefer goth girls now." This was done in the spirit of April Fools Day, and was intended to be a humorous subversion to trick people into thinking that I had abandoned the tomboy niche that I have frequently expressed appreciation for. However, this status update was met with severe backlash from my audience, many of whom are tomboy enjoyers themselves. In no uncertain terms, they requested that I educate myself on the harm caused by tomboy abandonment, which I was unaware of when I made the status update. (3/?)

As a content creator, I have a responsibility to set an example for my audience and present them with positive messages at all times. To post the status update was a violation of that responsibility, one which I deeply regret and apologize for. (4/?)
