Exactly. He craves power and potential. Sure he goes after gon but that’s because gon is so freaking powerful and FULL OR PROMISE AND SO MUCH POTENTIAL. He behaves the same way to chrollo! Literally no difference. And then when chrollo lost his ability and his power hisoka lost interest! Why? “I have no use for broken toys…” was one of his main catch frazes! Hence why everyone SHOULD know he craves to break those with such hope and strength

If gon was weak and didn’t have any potential- then hisoka would have left him be and gave no dam on who he was! Hisoka doesn’t really care for gon at all actually and doesn’t even think anything of him other than a stepping tool to boost his own power and strength. And to prove his power and his own personal worth. In other words gon is just for his amusement

Not to mention the only reason hisoka goes after the strong people is because he wishes to be broken and killed if he fails to kill the other. He craves the power struggle and the pain. The dude licks blood for crying out loud whether it’s his own or others. Remember when hisoka was first introduced during the hunter exam? He killed tons of people who were ganging up on him in the fog! What did he do? Lick the blood off his card. And his “malicious aura” was seeping out

I don’t get why they want to make him into a predator he isn’t that kind of monster.
