Perfect. If you're not worried about the story of a game you don't know about, you won't mind all the spoilers I'm putting here. It's long, so I'm putting it in two replies.
In Fire Emblem Three Houses, you get to be a teacher who teaches one of the three houses. Either Edelgard of the Black Eagles, Dimitri of the Blue Lions, or Claude of the Golden Deer. You stay with that house for the entire game, but you can freely interact with the students and leaders of the other houses if you wish.

The house you'd like best is the Blue Lions, mainly because of Dimitri. He's a very nice and likeable guy, but soon you learn his backstory. A few years ago, his family was killed by a masked person.
While teaching, you quickly become good friends with Dimitri. Everything seems fine... that is, until he sees the face of the person behind the mask.
Afterwards, you go missing for five years and then learn Dimitri's fate...

bleh. my lack of patience really disallows me from enjoying most games with any turn based elements. but you were right in me enjoying

Also, what do you mean “gone to shit”? The game isn’t even out yet. I know some of the things we’ve been shown are worrying, but I think it’s a better idea to wait for the reviews to roll out before jumping to opinions.

im not sure video games reviews are to be trusted nowadays. It will probably get a score between 7-9 as most video game journalists and journalists in general, are spineless cowards who write to gather attention instead of reporting on the truth.
