Me too, which is why I try being as simple and direct as possible.

I do this a lot. After making what I have to say seem as genuine as possible, I then try to keep in mind that it's not your responsibility whether they believe you or not. That's their choice to make, and you can only hope they take your words to heart.

Don't ever change. If you feel like what you're saying in the moment could genuinely make someone feel better about themselves, then say it. How they take it isn't your fault, and you should never feel bad for trying to do good
