No it was not a stupid reason. A pet is a very dear thing to a person. I would freak if my dog passed away too.

Indeed I agree with Idea for once, Pet's are important companions.

My aunt did not help by saying I was unreasonable XD Now I'm ignoring her as I sit on the couch. Tomorrow to spite her, I'm going to refuse to wake up for her and be a pain. HA! Take that revenge!

I don´t think revenge is the answer here. Sure, maybe you´re surrounded by assholes, but are you really doing well by yourself and by the memory of your guinea pig to step down to the level of the people who hurt you?

I still don´t think it´s a good idea to take revenge for revenge´s sake... even pratically it´s bound to just get you into even more trouble. As a friend, if I can be so bold as to consider us as such, I really can´t support such a decision.

That's where we differ with Idea. Revenge needs time, you'll be only hurting you own good with this petty act, you need to strike when they aren't looking your way a Surprise. strike when they're vulnerable themselves.

But why strike at all? What will that earn you or anyone? What will that make better? Long-term revenge is just as petty, just as useless and only throws away your own dignity and any right to complain you could have. Instead of making things better, revenge is an active attempt at making them worse, spreading destruction instead of trying to halt it.

That is one way to look at it, one that is a core of His Holyness İsa's teachings 'Turn the other cheek' right? Idea? But I believe such is not being take revenge disguised in a form of conformist thought 'Forgiveness' as we call it, but I think if you get satisfaction out of it, if it makes you feel better then it means you get what you desire out of it if not all then partially.

We can for sure. But I wanted echo here to have access to the full hand- not just the immediate emotions that he is likely to regret, as one often does when acting impulsively.

Sure, if the "taste of revenge" is what you want, go for it. But make sure that´s REALLY what you want. Because if it is litterally anything else, then revenge is exactly what I said it was, a pointless waste that will bring more harm than good.

That is why I cited time as the necessary component in my comment, time to ponder about this, to think over it? would taking revenge be reasonable? if the answer is yes once the phase of initial rage and sadness is over, the true phase of taking revenge sets in if not then it vanishes.
