I'm flexitarian. Meaning I do eat meat at times and won't complain when people serve me meat, but I do try to cut it down and look for more vegetarian alternatives.
Purity I have, actually. And it's pretty good indeed. But around here it's generally more expensive than real meat, and the one store that does sell it for a lower price doesn't exactly give you a lot of choice. It's either veggie burger, cheese thingy, or something filled with noodles, haha
But when shopping I always keep my eyes open for replacements :)
Hmm, yeah, price does deter a lot of would-be vegetarians. But we live in a society where we actually have the choice to decide. I've come to be grateful for whatever is on my plate not too long ago.
As a student who had times where I had no choice but living on instant noodles because I didn't have enough money, I understand that so well. I found a decent supermarket selling fresh fruit and vegetables at a decent price. But that's also the store with a low choice in vegetarian products. There's another supermarket pretty much next to it that has vegetarian products, but it's also two to three times as expensive
