See, now I'm curious as to what rule prompted this comment. Most of the time rules tend to either be strict or completely pointless, childish never came to mind at least in my experience.

Most specifically in this instance: if you read all this, put "banana" in your reply. It comes off as unintentionally rude and condescending. Yes, I've had people not read an entire search before, but I work it out in PMs and get on with it.

(Not that anyone's actually using the word 'banana' right now.)

I'm not a big fan of those 'key words' either, although I get why people put them in so I wouldn't consider it an 'ignore-able' offence. It's frustrating for people to contact you when they clearly did not read any of the rules, especially when they ignore the important bits. I've had to drop RPs because people did not read the thread all the way through and there were intolerable differences in our RP styles.

I've not ignored anyone for it, but it frustrates me. On the non-reading front, I've had at least 3 people work out a world with me, then either put their character in a totally different time period or area to mine without reason for doing so. Ha.

That has happened to be too... although in my case it was just major miscommunication rather than them not reading the interest check. Once I worked something out with a person only to start the RP and they immediately only put out two small paragraphs... which would have been fine if I were not a super detailed RPer who normally does over a page of text for a normal post (not just an introduction).
