Well, if Walter knows that the abbott has sent Francis away, then Walter can't do a single thing about it. The last thing he needs is to lay his hands on a clergyman and piss off everyone in England.

Walter is the Red Oni to Francis' Blue Oni. We can even be color coded for your convenience!

Regarding these debates or sharing of thoughts, Walter and Francis trust each other enough to share some of their darkest thoughts then ask each other for their opinions on it. For example, Walter occasionally has doubts of the Word of God, and he would proclaim that it is more like the word of a demon.

Because Walter says there is so much injustice done in the world. What did the good Lord do in the Old Testament? He basically killed a shit load of people and burned them in hell forever. That would send chills up the devil's spine. But now that we reached the New Testament, Walter is baffled that someone like Jesus is handing out forgiveness in return for devoting your life to God.

Walter would ask Francis for his opinion on this.

Walter doesn't always beat up people to get his way, you know. He's not always angry or paranoid or vengeful, sometimes he can be quite open and cheerful even to complete strangers. While he might be really good at appealing to violence, he can be sure to talk his way out of a situation. It's too bad he doesn't know the language in Japan, so yeah... violence...

Francis can be persuasive... if the person he's talking to is reasonable. Otherwise, Walter is quick to put in as much as emotional appeals as possible. And Walter IS smart, it's just that he's really impulsive, so that doesn't give him a lot of opportunities to show his smarts. But Francis is wise AND smart AND patient. These things are what sets Francis and Walter apart.

Yeah, that music really fits Walter's quiet moments to a T. Whenever he reaches his "higher state of consciousness", it opens up many things that he's never thought of before. Sometimes, he can even beat Francis in the wisdom and intelligence department if Walter stays like that for a while. It's too bad that these thoughts only last for a couple of hours at most.

When Walter is deep in thought, he remembers his past. Before Walter became a knight, he was the bastard son of the local lord that was brought up in a freeman's household. The boy was eager to prove his worth to God, to his lord father, and to the King of England.

Walter never had the full set of equipment to train as a knight, so he kept on improvising fighting techniques along the way. Finding clever ways to use a ladder as a weapon, to throw stones with unerring accuracy, until he was recognized as one of the realm's most excellent fighters.

And during those times, Walter believed that the end of the world was near, and that he always had to prepare for it. This was the fault of one of those dogmatic fire and brimstone priests, who preached of the End Times with the Book of Revelations. This kind of made Walter super paranoid of evil during his early years.

Hmm, no, on second thought, Walter wouldn't be able to become such an excellent fighter in such a short amount of time. In fact, Walter was a poor fighter in his youth, but he was really really good at throwing stones. He would have to learn martial arts under the teachings of a professional knight.

Argh, Walter's history is a bit too long to put in here. Long story short, Walter was a bastard, trained over two decades, became a knight after kicking serious ass, was a religious fanatic but gradually lost some of it over the years, he can still be quite religious and superstitious if you give him the right incentive....

He pissed off his half brothers and sisters a lot after getting a few estates for himself. Fought local feuds in the process, he was summoned to fight in the Hundred Years' War, but he came back he found his estates captured.

That's Walter's backstory in a nutshell.

Good, I'll make Walter be in his thirties. Seems about right.

Oh, and that music is a bit demonic don't you think? I personally think power ballads or soft metal would suit Walter, but then again people could be outright terrified of Walter and think of him as a demon or something.

I think discussing this in PM/Thread would be so much easier.

I don't really understand why I can't post in threads... and I can't even take this chat to the private messages. What is wrong with my internet?
