but you would see your character misrepresented. And you would find yourself playing a character you might really hate. And fights would probably break out all over.

I still don't see how that is bad, that seems very pessimistic. Plus, it's something new (not actually new but it'd be new to most people here) and out-there. Let's be honest, no matter how hard you try, any character you make is probably going to be 'you, but different', whether that 'difference' is them being cooler or just having the opposite type of genitals.

Why play a character you made based off of yourself, when you can play a character someone else made, which they based off of themselves? It'd be such an interesting thing to explore. Especially if they're a 'type' of character that you never played before.

Plus, if it was deemed necessary, after everyone made their CS and showed it you could just ask people who and who they don't like, make specific sub groups, and THEN 'roll the dice'.
Idea

that is actually innacurate. Yes, every character will have some segment of oneself, but what amount that is depends on your character making process. My own, I can give as an example, has had me make characters so opposing to my own nature I even found myself disgusted by some attitudes they took on occasion.

Well, I can't argue with that, but I still think doing this sort of shit would be dank as fuck

what's a fourth wall?
Idea
Idea
it´s hard to explain but to try to put it simply, a fourth wall is when a character becomes aware of the fact they are on a story or points out elements that are merely descriptive for the medium
Windsock
Windsock
The term originates from theater, when a stage usually had three walls. The 'fourth wall' is the imaginary wall that seperates the stage from the audience; when the stage interacts with the audience directly, they 'broke through the fourth wall'.
Idea
Idea
yeah, but there are other instances of it, that don´t require a direct contact with the audience, Windsock Windsock

can you put it in an example?

Idea Idea my next question is what do you mean by one person breaks the wall and the other person would do it normally? You mean that if a person were to role-play then one of the people controlling the character will make them say something in a fourth wall?
Idea
Idea
more like, one player would write a normal roleplay post, then the other would basically write the character being aware of the post and possibly doing things differenly or outright refusing to do what the other post says or something
