Didn't look all that appealing to me anyway

A lot of guys in one of my RPs have it, and I was going to get it on a steep discount, but something about Microtransactions just turns me off of a game sooo much.

It's like really crushing hard on a girl then finding out she has herpes. I'm sure she's still a really nice person and cool to hang out with, but it's just really hard mood killer

Yeah... Plus you don't want the herpes or the microtransactions. I'll stick with my Mass Effect Andromeda.

So far I am 35 hours in, probably half way and it is my 3rd fave in the franchise

The micro transactions aren't a necessity, it's just there to speed things up, but even then it's not smart to spend your in game money on gear until your at least a reputation 3, that's 60 levels, and let me tell you you're gonna have plenty of steel (in game currency) by that time, although the smartest thing to do is to wait till reputation 5 (100 levels)

you'll have enough steel to get gear for your character by then. I love the game, I played it a bunch before I got mass effect, I mean I actually have a reputation 5 lawbringer, reputation 4 conqueror, and rep 1 warden. It's a fun game, don't let he micro transactions deter you

That's good, seems a bit shorter than the other games but still a decent size. If only EA didn't publish it lol.

Eh, All the other games take me 20-30 hours tops.(That is doing everything too). EA>Ubisoft mate

The Mechanist Hey I'm not knocking on those that enjoy the game or don't mind the microtransactions. They just generally bother me to the point where I don't even want to play a game, let alone buy it, even when they're fair. Also, this article:

More power to you and others if you enjoy the game. I'm glad people are having fun and fueling the gaming industry (feeding developers and their families). It's just my personal view of the practice in general.

I'll continue to jump between the two, just depends who's got the best game at the moment, I was with Ubisoft on for honor, I was even an alpha tester for that game, but now EA has mass effect, so now I'm with them, haven't touched for honor in two days, which is weird for me cuz I always hopped on to at least do the bounties

Iskandar See, I know they're both crap, but Ubisoft never took a beloved franchaise that I loved from another studio/publisher which made my childhood/teenage years so enjoyable and took a steaming pile of crap all over it. Sure they did that with their own IPs, but not someone else's.

Well it was right, I only main the conqueror and law bringer, maybe the Kensei cuz I'm actually pretty good with him but Ima save all that energy for when they release the Roman centurion and ninja characters

Hence I've got a lifetime boycott on EA until they somehow correct the course they've followed for the past decade or so and only a few minor boycotts for Ubisoft.

Yes I know that it probably doesn't matter that a huge corporation like them loses a single consumer, but it's more of a principle/personal thing for me. So, you know, happy that others enjoy their products, but abstain from them myself.

The Mechanist Fair enough, though I guess at this point is a philosophical differences in regards to what should be included in the main game versus what is optional/essential DLCs and what should be really made into a proper "expansion." That's where most of the differences happened in, and really no reconciliation unless some sort of agree is reached in that area of discussion. *shrug*

To each their own I say, I've been with Ubisoft ever since I was wee lad, splinter cell classic, ghost recon, rainbow six, Rayman, all those others from way back when.
