hum... I'm thinking of making relative limited slots, and each person gets two characters. As long as there is enough diversity , slots are open. So, like, each starts with two open slots, and an extra slot opens for every other that matches their amount

I have an idea. There'll be multiple bands, right?


Perhaps you could make a rule that two of one race can't be in the same band?

I thought of something similar legolad, but the problem would remain that if there were two popular ones, the problem would persist. 

That idea of Legolad is cool in my opinion.

Why, if the races can't be in the same band more than once and there are more than four people? They couldn't do a new band, they'd lack members. So they'd have to fill.

Well, imagine this: eight people join the roleplay. One is an elf, another human, one an inumimi and five are nekos. 


That's a problem.


now imagine three are nekos, three are okamimi, one is inumimi and one is human.


that is still a problem.


I want the races to interact without any being dominant over the others. At best I would allow one extra over the next race with most members, but not more, and taht applies to all races.

Whatever you say I guess, I still didn't understand d what you mean though. 

You could just not allow them to roleplay if they're not part of a complete band. Example one could be one band with a neko and all the others, while the other four nekos would be stuck unable to RP because they don't have a band (Due to being unable to create a band with members of the same race)

Yeah, that's why I don't understand my loves problem with the idea too. 

Well, then I would be rejecting members over there not being enough people in the roleplay.

Not necessarily. Someone could create another character of another race, or someone else could join and fill the extra spot. They'd just have to wait for the other spot to be filled somehow.

Well, a band can consist of more people. There is always a role to find. 


Three roles:


Singer+Guitar


Bass+Second voice 


Drummer


Four:


Singer


Guitar 


Bass 


Drummer 


Five: 


Etc

Eh, I'm not so sure on that idea. Bands, once their roles are filled, are kinda solidified in them, aren't they?

The thing with the band has the problem of:


*bands with a lot of members will be hard to form


*bands with too few problems may still allow the over population of a particular race


*both bands and races can create cliques, which although pretty much inevitable, I would like to keep as contained as possible

But I mean before one starts, the bands could be created to match the number.

everyone is supposed to be singers/idols in this roleplay... At least that was my initial plan

Oh, I see. But that doesn't always work out... in some gernes. 


I mean I can only speak for rock, but there are bands where I don't even know the singers name, but I love the drummer etc.
