Felicia was relieved to no longer had to fight. Despite her times in battle, she could definitely use a break.

"Thank you, Miss Sharena," The maid thanked.

Corrin watched Xander leave as quickly as the entire army he was commanding. She sighed.

"In the end, I couldn't convince him. It's not the greatest of days I'm having today."

Corrin and Felica regrouped to be spoken to by the others. They glanced at each other, calmed by the idea that they actually were having a break.

"Let's check out the headquarters," Corrin suggested. "We never got the idea of where our safe house is."

Felicia nodded in agreement, mumbling, "I hope I can clean my knives when I get there..."

"And my sword." They began walking, either to ask for directions or a simple tour of the area.

--Corrin & Felicia--

Asking around, you were pointed to Commander Anna who was more than happy to give you a tour around the castle. "The castle is made up of many rooms and halls. Like, really many. Come on, I'll show you around."

"First, we have your quarters. They're pretty big and roomy. A little bell to call any servants. You have cabinets, closets, a small armory to put your weapons and armor, a private bathroom and a bed fitting for a Hero. Ordinarily there should be one Hero per room but you two are free to share a room if you like." Anna introduced you to your room. "Don't hesitate to use any of the services provided to you, okay?"

"This is the war room. I'm sure you know what that is already." Anna showed you a decently-sized room with a sturdy table at the center. "Head here if you're ready to go and we'll decide where we're going next as well as our next course of action. Usually we just react to whatever Princess Veronica or her underlings are attempting. Do you remember Dismas, Corrin? You know, the one who was with you when you fought Xander? He's also one of our main information gatherers so expect to see him here often." Anna then sighed. "The war's only been going for a year but it feels like it has lasted forever. Anyway, upon embarking on a mission, you will be given a choice of which army you're bringing. Right now, your main army is the Askran Army but if you'd like, you can pick the vassal Moon Kingdom. They have a... different army, to say the least."

"This is the main hall. People gather here all the time so if you're searching for someone, you'll usually find them here. Unless they like to coop up in their rooms all the time." Anna showed you a massive hall populated with unknown faces wearing various Askran-themed garbs. However, you do spot a woman there who glanced at you longer than what was normal.

"And this..." Anna showed you a strange room made of stone with an obelisk standing in the middle. "This is a gift from... our friends from the north." The commander said. "When the obelisk acts up and creates a small vortex of clouds from the top, that means the Tempest has opened. The Tempest is a massive portal artificially created by Varjo, a vassal of the Embla Empire, to cross over to other worlds." Anna explained. "They're kind of like the gateways but unlike them, they shut off after a certain period of time and takes enormous amounts of resources to open them again. Needless to say, the Embla Empire goes all out when the Tempest opens."

"And that's about it." Anna ended the tour. "Oh and the Summoner is alright. I believe he said he is going to the Main Hall to stretch out his body."

Corrin and Felicia glanced at each other. At least it wouldn't be so different from their own headquarters.

Corrin was frankly surprised about the quarters. She didn't know heroes were catered to this much. She wasn't sure if she should be mad that their own world didn't do that for her, or if she should be mad that this world was doing too much for their heroes. She glanced at the bed, temptation poking at her like a hot poker.

Felicia's eye lit up as she fiercely glanced around the area. The idea of a servant to call more servants felt phenomenal to her, and now she wouldn't have to worry about embarrassing herself trying to help out Corrin. She nearly giggled at the thought of all this stuff just for her.

Corrin and Felicia stared at the...War room.

"Good name?" They both mumbled to each other questionably. Corrin blinked, having no idea that her temporary partner in her battle with Xander was Dismas.

Choices of their own armies, usually following some bad guy, that seemed pretty straightforward to Felicia. She could not see herself as a leader, however. That much was certain.

The main hall! Looks...

"Quiet," They both commented. Corrin caught sight of the woman, making direct eye contact while Felicia glanced away slightly out of awkwardness.

The obelisk. What a strange sight for the both of them. It's not completely unique, but it sure was an interesting object. With the ability to travel other worlds, they could do a lot of things...Malicious things.

Not for them, though, they're too committed to justice for that. Self-notes for the both of them to be extremely ready when that obelisk does...Something.

"Oh, right, the summoner!" Corrin remembered. "Thank you for the tour, Anna. I'll try to remember all of this." She went straight for the main hall to search for the Summoner that they had rescued.

"O-oh- Uh, thank you, Anna, for showing us around..." Felicia quickly said, before following behind Corrin.

--Corrin & Felicia--

After asking around, the two of you find out that the Summoner had entered the Main Hall searching for you. Upon returning there, you find him talking to the woman who was staring at you earlier. Now that you had a good look, the woman had hair black as pitch tied very short and wore armor similar to the armors of Hoshido. However, her sheathed weapons was clearly a shortsword and a shield. When you were coming close though, she immediately left after boding farewell to the Summoner.

"Hey Corrin, Felicia." The Summoner greeted you. "I-I mean, Lady Corrin and Miss Felicia. Corrin is royalty after all and Felicia isn't exactly someone low." He added. "Anyway, how are you two holding up? I mean, I heard you've been fighting ever since you got to this world. Oh by the way, thanks for saving me back there. I admit it's uhh, the first time my life was in mortal danger. Hehe...." He continued, sheepishly. "It's wasn't pleasant. Just like how I imagined it."

"And don't worry about the wound though. 'Tis a flesh wound." The Summoner said about his arrow injury. "How about you guys? Were you hurt? I heard you fought in the main battle."

(( Oh, sorry, I thought I had already replied ))

"...Hello," Corrin and Felicia simultaneously said. "Don't worry about formalities, we're just her- Erm, warriors here," Corrin assured. She wasn't too sure if she should've used "heroes", since it seemed a little too arrogant.

"We're fine," Corrin then said, "by a miracle. It's an amazement we weren't injured any further."

Felicia then added, "Y-yeah, we're fine, if it wasn't for Miss Sharena, I might've been...Oh, I should've thanked her earlier..."

Corrin continued, "Either way, we're glad you're okay, but it's our fault for letting you get hurt. We're ready to return the favor any time you wish."

((Sooo, are you interested in playing more characters?))

Corrin said:
"Either way, we're glad you're okay, but it's our fault for letting you get hurt. We're ready to return the favor any time you wish."

The Summoner put up his hands. "Hey, don't worry about it, okay?" He replied. "These sort of things happen in war, right? Just... just watch over me more next time, alright?"

"Anyway, I'm glad that you two are all right." The Summoner then sighed. "Anna told me all about how this place works and what we're supposed to do. The Embla Empire is wrecking things up, right?" He continued as he brandished his signature Breidablik and gazed upon it. "I'm supposed to summon heroes like you and direct you in battle." He snickered sarcastically. "As if I'm some master tactician. I'm a fan of strategy sure but I bet Felicia here will beat me in chess any day in the week."

"I'm sorry, it's just... I don't exactly belong here, you know?" The Summoner sighed again. "But here I am with innocent lives at stake and legendary warriors looking to me for orders. It's great, it's just freaking great." He then chuckled, the laughs directed at his own misery.

"Dammit, I'm sorry. Sorry for rambling." The Summoner composed himself. "Well, Corrin and Felicia. What do you think we should do next? Shall we head on over to the next mission or do you want to explore the castle more?

(yes, I am actually)

Corrin and Felicia nodded in agreement. They knew what they did wrong and planned on providing a remedy for that.

The maid blushed in response to the compliment, quickly turning around to contemplate more reasons on why she should live.

Corrin rubbed her chin in thought. "I'm not too sure. Are you capable of summoning more heroes?"

Felicia "Oh'd!" all of a sudden and asked, "Can we summon my sister?"

Felicia said:
"Can we summon my sister?"

"Oh. She's... Her name's Flora, right?" The Summoner confirmed. "Yeah, I think... I think I know how to summon her."

The Summoner then led you to the stone platform where you fought Knazgraz and the other Embla soldiers to defend the Summoner. There, your hooded master produced a strange orb gray in color with a peculiar hexagon embedded upon it. "I think... this is the right orb." He muttered to himself before placing the orb in the middle of the monolith with the tree drawing embedded on it.

Loading the Breidablik with a smaller, rainbow-colored orb, the Summoner then took aim with the legendary weapon, pointing at the gray orb placed upon the monolith. He then fired his weapon and from it, a beam of white light came out and shattered the gray orb. A pillar of bluish light formed on the monolith and the markings on the floor began to glow and continued glowing until it was too bright for the eyes.

The lights dissipated and what was once three people on the platform was now four.

((Waaah!~ 2 years, and someone recently shared this thread back to me! If you're still available and down, we can keep going?))

ShredKnives ShredKnives

(Sorry for the late reply. RPNation didn't ping me but anyway, I'm ready to continue. Just go ahead and post and remember, Flora's being summoned

Also, I'm curious as to how this got shared to you. Tell me all about it at the OOC)

"..."

It's hard to say the expressions on their faces were less than mild. What was there to react with? Felicia glanced at Corrin.

She glanced back. Whatever they were both saying to each other, it was entirely nonverbal. Their footsteps practically synced with each other on the approach to the platform, they both watched the summoner with varied amounts of interest and awe.

Corrin, for one, was more than ready to investigate the method of their summoning techniques. Then she had to cover her eyes from the flashing of lights, grunting in half-disappointment and half-surprised pain. Felicia wasn't exactly sure why Corrin was behaving like such, since she was fairly sure neither of them would prove capable of legitimately summoning anyone. However, she kept her eyes in check and made sure to cover them ahead of time, both hands haphazardly covering one like a game of peekaboo.

Corrin couldn't actually see properly due to the flash still standing as a solid opaque current for her eyes. It didn't hide the blush on her face coming to this realization.

Felicia wasn't entirely sure when it would be done so she curiously asked, "Is it over, Summoner?" Eyes still covered and all.

"Flora?" A voice called out to Flora. She would see that she was no longer home but rather, in a strange, unfamiliar place. She stood in a strange platform which had intricate patterns carved upon it with a stone obelisk right behind you with the shape of a tree marked upon it. The platform was elevated and below was lush, green forest. Before her was a person wearing white and gold hood and robes. Alongside the said person, however, were two familiar women: Corrin and Felicia

"Uh, hey Flora." The hooded man greeted. "Uhh, I need to explain some things, don't I?"

Cold as Ice.
A Chilling Wind passes over...
The flash was accompanied after with a graceful heel-toe pivot, as if the flashy light was infact planned and coordinated in order to turn this into a fancy entrance. Flora had her head bowed in a curtsy-like fashion, which gave her the opportunity to glance around.

Patterns slowly processing through the windows of her minds, patterns that she didn't quite recognize nor make note of. She was sure she was now in a different location, reason be damned. It was only her name was called would she realize the intention of her summoning...Which would be exactly as said. She was summoned, which wasn't exactly the most shocking thing to happen to her, but it was unexpected. Twiddling aside her dangling hairs, she made a quick reply, "That would be most useful. I hope I'll..." She began, raising her head up to glance at her summoner.

Needless to say, the widely open-mouthed expression of her sister and the royalty she had served under was one of the last things she was expecting. "...Get a quick summation..."

Corrin, matter-of-factly, was sort of standing behind the summoner, struggling to see anything because the dummy, to which she will now refer herself as for the time being, didn't close her eyes. "A-ahah! Hi, Flora! Um...Good to...Hear you well!"

Flora stared at Corrin, ready to drop a backhanded compliment before Felicia tackled her into a hug. "Flora!" A yeep was uttered for the atmosphere to slowly take in.

"Felicia? Was I missed during my absence?"
"Well, I can hardly rely on you every time I'm alone," came Felicia's reply, "But it's nice to see you again!"
"..." The sisters patted each others' backs momentarily. "As long as you're doing fine," Flora replied.

Corrin pursed her lips, rubbing her eyes softly. "Summoner, you've done us a generous deed. Again, our thanks."

Felicia was too distracted with hugging her sister to say much. Flora sighed with relief in mind, glancing at the Summoner. She gave him a smile, curious and gentle. "Yes, that would be useful."

ShredKnives ShredKnives

"Okay then. I guess I have not told Corrin or Felicia this either."

"Well, I'm what the people here call 'The Summoner'. I basically summon Heroes with Breidablik over here." The Summoner pointed to his strange weapon. "Apparently, I'm special in that I'm the only one who can wield it. Anyway, my main job is getting Heroes, that would be you guys, to help with the problem here. We're currently inside the Kingdom of Askr, a kingdom whose royalty can open portals to other worlds. The Embla Empire, meanwhile, has royalty who can close this portals. Lately, they haven't been doing that. Instead, they use the portals to basically kidnap people from other worlds to fight in this war. Err, the Emblans are trying to conquer this world by the way."

"So that's the gist of it." But the Summoner continued. "Did I... did I make everything clear? Will you three help us out?"

The Summoner then turned to Corrin. "I heard you fought your brother Xander earlier. I'm sorry." He apologized. "That said, we may have to face him again in the future. I... hope you're okay with that."

Flora gave a gentle push to separate herself from Felicia, quick to ponder over her new Summoner's words.

"Kidnapping people from other worlds...? Truly heartless..."

Felicia clenched her fists and held them up. She had a sense of naivety and determination around her that made Flora smile just a bit. "It's why it's our job to make sure the Embla Empire is defeated!"

Corrin rubbed her eyes, resting them down to her side. "So when I fought him..." Her attention was briefly brought to the Summoner once again. She pursed her lips. "I...I don't know. But as you have summoned for the purpose of fighting for your empire, it's only right I raise my arms, no matter who it's against."

It didn't take very long for the group to process the situation, but Flora was the first to make a comment about it.

Flora tilted her head. "With so many of these other worlds, what if we end up fighting ourselves? Quite literally, I might add...To think of the idea of fighting my own sister or myself..."

Felicia blinked, replying with a solidly shocked, "W-well."

Corrin glanced at the Summoner. "It's certainly something to be concerned about...I'm not sure how many more friends I will have to fight, but..." She clutched her sword tightly, letting loose a sigh in the air. "I'll do my best for you, Summoner."

The others nodded in agreement. It was then that Flora brought up the question, "So, what is your name?"

ShredKnives ShredKnives

Flora said:
"So, what is your name?"

"It's... it's Kiran." The Summoner answered. A bit hesitantly, though. "My name's Kiran. Uh, nice to meet you all."

------

A day passed with nothing much happening. Corrin and her maids settled in the castle in the time being, getting used to navigating the castle and learning a bit about Askr. But they were currently in a war and it was made known when Anna called forth the Heroes to the Main Hall. Alfonse and Sharena were there as well as several high-ranking soldiers of Askr. The Summoner was there as well and of course, the three summoned Heroes. "Listen up, everyone. I've gotten word that the Emblian Empire has invaded the World of Mystery. They're seizing control of its Heroes in hopes of using them to mount another attack on our kingdom. Unfortunately, they already possess one of that world's most important Heroes—Marth!"

"The legendary Hero-King?" Alfonse said. "If Marth leads a charge on the Askran Kingdom, it would be devastating."

"Well, so what if they have a legend on their side? We have one too. Our summoner and the Heroes are here!" Sharena happily retorted.

"Let's go to the World of Mystery and free their Heroes from Embla's control before things get out of hand." Anna declared.

The force was about to mobilize but an Askrian nobleman halted everyone. "Forgive me for the interruption but another attack on another world has taken place." He said. The newcomer wore radiant armor of gold and red, designed with the theme of a falcon or a phoenix. His helm was similarly designed and had a blood red plume at the top. "The Emblian Empire do not dawdle, they have invaded and taken control of... a world. A strange world but a world that needs rescue nonetheless. While Princess Veronica leads the Emblans in the World of Mystery, her Varjan vassals leads the attack on this one."

"What kind of world, Finubar?" Anna inquired before quickly introducing him to Corrin and the others. "Oh and, this is Finubar the Seafarer, Heroes. He is quite the explorer but also a highly competent commander."

"It is a world of... It is difficult to explain, Lady Anna. Just know that it is a world being exploited by the Emblans. Under their control are the siblings Ephraim and Eirika and another sibling pair Seliph and Julia." Finubar replied.

"We can't split up the army so we've gotta deal with one of them quickly then the other." Anna said. "Where should we go first?"

The Askran force began to ruminate while Kiran approached Corrin and the maids. "Do you guys know who Marth is? If not, then he's a big-shot over there. He is 'Hero-King' after all so fighting him won't be easy." He said. "Then again, fighting the siblings won't be easy either. Ephraim and Eirika aren't pushovers and while I don't know much about Seliph and Julia, I know they're pretty good." Kiran remarked. "What do you girls think?"

A day passed and nothing happening was about the unlikeliest way of describing the party's day. Corrin and Felicia were, by happenstance of their time of arrival, assimilating into the kingdom, whereas Flora was still confused of where she was being guided to.

She'd never thought she'd be glad to have Felicia guide her around. Corrin had a tendency to daydream during any moment of touring or general exploring. Flora could only wonder what went through Corrin's head if something this mysterious and strange wasn't enough to keep her attention span in check.

At least going to sleep was still normal. The party could bask in that for the time being.

Then the day passed and something new comes to their attention, though Felicia's far too tired to actually pay attention to whatever was happening. Flora and Corrin were the two out of the three that managed to give a formal greeting, Flora doing much better at it than anyone else. Flora had to elbow her sister's hips a few times to get Felicia's mind processing as normally as it usually did, while Corrin was still questioning the idea of purchasing herself some shoes haphazardly.

The mention of any legendary hero-king was what snapped Corrin's mind right back into the situation. She hadn't a clue who the man was, but he probably was a frightening opponent if he's given such a title. Either way, what was given was information that didn't really affect how they planned to do things. How would they go about this? It's another new environment they know little about, and with heroes who carried weaknesses they had no idea of.

"What's going to be our plan?" Corrin whispered to her little party. Flora blinked, a wave of uncertainty passing over her face like a chilly breeze.

Felicia was practically sweating at this dilemma. "W-well..."

"Let's try this," Flora began to suggest. "I'd say we break the contracts of the others before going to this 'Hero-king'...And..."

Corrin held a finger up, as if a light-bulb went off in her head. "We'll cut off their contacts so only this 'Marth' will be left..."

"A-and we can try overpowering him in numbers...?" Felicia concluded, the rush of doubt looming over their heads.

A silence would be shared by them.

"That is...If our skills will match up to that of this Ephraim pair or even that of Julia and company," Flora brought up. This strategy was nothing short of based off of their numbers. Although their skills were, infact, formidable, none of them were specialized swords-women. Flora and Felicia were maids, and Corrin was a part-time dragon.

"I can't see myself matching up to the Hero-king in terms of swordplay..." Corrin said, "If his weapon or any of the others is able to slay my dragon form, then this whole plan could fall apart sooner than the first skirmish."

"I'm not even sure of how much of our numbers we could spare," Flora added along. "Though, this is only our suggestion."

"I-If it were me, I'd pick this Ephraim pair...I'm sure my sister and I will be more than enough to handle them!" Felicia pointed out. Flora pursed her lips before eventually agreeing.

Corrin raised a hand. "I could tag along with them, in case something goes bad."

Announcing the answer, the Askran forces agreed. "Very well. We shall head over and deal with the Varjans." Anna said. "Get ready, Heroes."

-------

After mobilizing, Corrin and her maids as well as Kiran followed the Askran army into a portal. The world they entered was a verdant but mountainous one. The Askrans met the Varjan army on a wide valley with a river on the Varjan side. The enemy forces have already set up camp on their side and their army were ready to fight, forcing the Askrans to prepare for a fight as well. While Corrin, Felicia and Flora were getting ready, they were approached by a mysterious, foreboding figure wearing Hoshidan-like armor and armed with Hoshidan-like blades. "You look just like him." The figure remarked. The voice indicated a female and a familiar one at that, especially to Corrin.

But before she could ruminate, the figure beckoned them. "Come, I must explain the situation to you." The mysterious figure led the trio to a hill overlooking the battlefield. "We will be fighting the siblings Ephraim and Eirika in this battle. However, this can be won a different way." She then pointed at the back of the Varjan army where there were two robed and hooded figures. Identical in appearance. "I have no doubt that those two are leading this army. Beat those two and no doubt the army will be routed along with the siblings. You will have to break through the lines to get to them though but I'm sure we can manage that."

"So then, which duo are you going to fight?" The figure asked. "The twins may be powerful but that doesn't mean the Varjan commanders slouches either. They did manage to bring Ephraim and Eirika to heel after all." She then added quietly. "...They must be someone important if they can beat the siblings of Renais."

Corrin sighed.

Her maids followed suit.

While Corrin, Felicia and Florawere getting ready, they were approached by a mysterious, foreboding figure wearing Hoshidan-like armor and armed with Hoshidan-like blades. "You look just like him." The figure remarked. The voice indicated a female and a familiar one at that, especially to Corrin.

Felicia and Flora looked at each other. They were fine as rain to fight on a grassy mountainland, but their pondering about who to conflict with first was still burned into their minds. The recognition suddenly commented by this figure was...Strange, but not surprising, to them. They discarded the figure's comment as, for the time being,

Corrin, as a matter-of-fact, was equally in a dilemma but for a distinctive reason. Who was that? Alas, she was too late on the idea of questioning the stranger, so her theories would remain a 50/50 shot of fruitlessness. They had work to do.

"We will be fighting the siblings Ephraim and Eirika in this battle. However, this can be won a different way. I have no doubt that those two are leading this army. Beat those two and no doubt the army will be routed along with the siblings. You will have to break through the lines to get to them though but I'm sure we can manage that."

A good question. Flora and Felicia both seemed to have the same idea in mind, but Corrin was still unsure. Beating the commanders would certainly bring down morale and generally, their entire army. However, they run the risk of tangling with both the commanders and the pair of heroes that said commanders had conquered.

Corrin glanced at duo of maids, rubbing her chin.
Flora cleared her throat. "Lady Corrin, I still believe we can take on those heroes."
Felica raised her fists up. "A-as do I!"

It only made sense to still be unnerved. Corrin wasn't exactly sure where the differences lie in strength, but she did know one thing. Those commanders potentially had something they didn't:

Magic.

To try to challenge the commanders with their blades, in Corrin's opinion, was too risky a move if they wielded spells they can't counter against. No matter how much support Corrin had from their forces, she preferred her safety ensured by another companion of some sort. She decided.

"We'll take on these twins. Dwindle down their lower superiors and then move to the commanders in question."

"We'll take on these twins. Dwindle down their lower superiors and then move to the commanders in question."

The mysterious woman nodded. "Very well, I shall see you at the frontlines."

---------

The two armies met. On one side was yours, filled with soldiers of Askr. Their armors were bright, silver in color. On the fore were lines upon lines of Askrian Spearmen with shields as tall as they were while at the back were rows of disciplined Archers, ready to unleash volley upon volley of arrows upon the enemy. On reserve were varying types of infantry and cavalry. The Askrian trio: Alfonse, Sharena and Anna were at the very front leading this army. The three Nohrians were there with them but Kiran was back at the camp since he was no fighter. The mysterious figure stood just behind Corrin as if she was watching over her.

On the other side were the Varjans. While Ephraim and Eirika had regal and refined looks, the same could not be said about their army. The Varjan troops looked more like bandits and brigands than regular soldiers. They were armed with swords and axes coupled with round shields. Their armor was minimal, made of fur and leather. Some did not even wore armor, their torsos bare on the battlefield. They had more warriors at the back and they appeared more armored than the brigands at the front but they were too far back to see for now. The twin siblings of Renais stood at the very front, their discomfort at their own army clear from their faces.

Nevertheless, they stepped forward. "Hmm...Prince Alfonse and Princess Sharena..." Ephraim began. "So, I take it that you've come to challenge Eirika and me. I'll warn you now. The family bond between us is forged from the strongest steel." He declared.

"Ephraim, please! Such words really don't suit you." Eirika scolded her brother. "Apologies for my brother. I am Eirika, Princess of Renais. I do not wish to war with you. But you came here, so war it is." She said sadly as she drew her rapier.

A Varjan from the front moved forward and let out a war cry that signaled the charge. This one was more armored than the rest and wielded two axes. Without fear, he charged towards the Askran formation with the rest of the Varjan army behind him including the Renais twins. As the distance closed, it was apparent he was charging towards Corrin and threw an axe at the princess for his first attack.

"ARCHERS! FIRE AT WILL!" Anna was heard yelling orders. "SPEARMEN! SHIELD WALL!"

One moment you were at home, in the next moment you were hurtling towards a strange portal that transported you in the middle of an encampment. A man in a white, hooded robe with gold markings quickly approached you. "Oh! Ohhhhh! I'm sorry! I'm really, really sorry!" He apologized profusely. "I-I didn't know it could do that! I thought I could only summon in that special platform back in Zenith." He explained, although it came off lacking since you had no idea what he was talking about. "Uhhh, I have a lot to explain, don't I? But first uhh, you're... Micaiah right? From... from Begnion? Or was it Daein?"

Looking around, the encampment appeared empty with only a few soldiers in white and gold armor running around doing errands. You see that the camp was set in a valley under a clear midday.

The silver-haired woman blinked, quite confused at this point. She clutched her tome to her chest in fear, amber eyes wide and fixated on the robed individual. He did not seem to mean her any harm, and it did seem like her arrival there was on accident. Eventually she allowed her muscles to ease slightly, though she remained skeptical.

"Yes, I am," the Priestess of Dawn responded, eyebrow raised. "And I do herald from Daein. But how is it that you know me, and where is it that I am?"

She stole a quick glance around her, noticing that there were few within the encampment, though the ones that were appeared to be soldiers. It seemed that she was brought in the midst of a conflict–or their campgrounds, at any rate. Magic never ceased to amaze her. One minute she was home, and the next here. While this did instill a note of panic in Micaiah's heart, she did try to keep her composure, at least to learn exactly what had just happened.

"Oh uhh, that's a long story. A really long story." The robed man replied.

"First of all, my name is Kiran and as to how I know you... uhh, let's just say I know a lot of things." The robed man introduced himself. "As for where, you're in ... well, not even I know what the name of this world is." He continued. "Ah, I should probably explain what's happening." Kiran then proceeded to explain that he is called 'The Summoner' and he, amusingly, was summoned into the world of Zenith. The aforementioned world had two nations: Kingdom of Askr and the Embla Empire. These two nations' royalty can open and close portals to other worlds, respectively. Recently however, the Embla Empire has stopped closing portals and, instead, used them to invade other worlds and kidnap its heroes.

The Embla Empire then used these heroes to wage war against the Kingdom of Askr. Thus, Askr summoned Kiran who would then summon their own heroes to combat Embla, liberate the captured heroes and halt the empire's invasions into other worlds. Right now, the Askrian army is battling the forces of Varjo, an ally of Embla. The enemy army is lead by the twins of Renais, Ephraim and Eirika while the Askrian army is lead by Alphonse and Sharena, the prince and princess of Askr respectively. There are also other allies but Kiran said Micaiah would meet them soon enough.

"So yeah, that's the gist of it." Kiran finished. "Now that you're here though, can we ask for your help? I understand if you don't want to and I'll try to send you back as soon as possible."

Micaiah hugged her elbows to her chest, listening intently to what Kiran had to say. "It seems that it may only have been a matter of time before this Embla Empire tore into my world anyway," she admitted, thinking that her friends might've been mixed into the conflict one way or another. After all, if her, Ike, and Sothe weren't heroes, who were?

This was a lot for the woman to take in. Sheets of silver hair fell over her shoulder, somber gaze fixated on Kiran. "It sounds like a very tribulation time for you all," she said gravely. "And I do not know who I am if I were to selfishly turn you away and demand to return home. While I'm still a bit taken aback by my sudden arrival and not even being able to say goodbye to my husband or friends, I do want to help you." She paused, considering the Summoner a moment before asking. "Would you be able to convey a message back to my world? So that way everyone at least knows that I am fine?"

"Oh yes, we can certainly do that." Kiran replied gladly. "Wait, you're married? To who--"

Kiran was cut off when a horn was blown, heard throughout the encampment. "We're under attack! Flaming Horrors!" One of the Askrian soldiers yelled. You and Kiran began moving but tents and battlements started combusting into flame. You then met the attackers, they were figures draped in blue mage robes that revealed no skin. The openings in their clothes, however, glowed with a flame orange color. They raised their arms and from them came jets of flame like a dragon breathing fire. They torched tents and soldiers without discrimination, leaving all of them in a burning mess. These must be the Flaming Horrors the soldier from earlier said.

You see an Askrian soldier hurl a javelin at one of the Flaming Horrors, felling him without much resistance and proving they are not invulnerable. Far from it, in fact. His brethren then proceeded to burn the Askrian to ash before resuming the attack. One of them then saw you and levitated towards you. You hear a faint giggle from him as he raised his arms and fire began to come out.

"Watch out, Micaiah!" You heard Kiran say.

Corrin eyed the uniforms of the Askr soldiers, whispering quietly to Flora, "You'd think we'd hide ourselves a bit better."

To which Felicia eavesdropped and whispered in, "W-well, the other side isn't quite so well-off..."

Flora glanced at the two of them. "We're not here to criticize, Lady Corrin..."

Corrin cleared her throat. "Right."

Then they heard some talking, which naturally was assumed to be the pair of Renais. They seemed like a fanciful bunch, and it almost seemed like a shame they would be fighting such nice-sounding people. Then again, it wasn't exactly something to be surprised about. It happened a few more times than they'd liked, after all.

Then a war cry. Swords, knives, and daggers were at the ready, with the trio first to have themselves ready to go. They had decided on their own plan: Protect Corrin, but the fight goes to her alone. Corrin moved forward, with Flora and Felicia on opposite sides. Corrin herself decided to keep herself within the formation. With those archers in the back, she can't trust the likelihood of no friendly fire until she turned into a dragon-- Frankly, pulling that trump card out this early would be far too risky on its own.

Wait, were they always this far out?

Corrin caught sight of the axe first-hand, her sword lashed right out from her side and deflecting the axe , a clang echoing the land while the axe would fly meters away from her. Unfortunately, she wasn't planning on throwing her sword at a guy with that kind of armor. She would have to think of a different plan to get through that...

Or perhaps...

Felicia was first to act accordingly, immediately throwing herself straight up into the air. She fired a blast of ice toward the ground in front of his charging direction. Flora would follow with a jump from behind, tossing out a flurry of icicles right at the armored beast in the hopes that one of them might make a piercing somewhere beneath the gaps of the plates.
