"What do you think, Hershey?" Arianna Jamison opened up the freezer, bending over slightly as she peered at the contents inside. "Should we go with Vanilla, Strawberry, or Cookie Dough?" Glancing over her shoulder at the beautiful chocolate lab behind her, sitting pretty, as though he were actually going to choose. Rolling her eyes slightly, she turned back to the cartons, snatching up the Cookie Dough. "No contest."

Shutting the freezer door by bumping it with her hip, she moved to the counter across from it and opened the lid. "I guess it really is never a contest, is it?" She asked out loud, grimacing slightly as she noticed how little was left inside. "Well, might as well not waste a bowl for it." Snatching a spoon up from the drawer, she headed for her favorite chair in the living room. Hershey followed her every move, sitting and staring at her for a moment before laying down in front of her.

She smiled at him, holding the spoon in her mouth as she pressed play on her movie. It was some cheesy lifetime film, but they were her favorites. She liked yelling at the TV when the women-- or in rare cases, the men-- did something stupid. She dug into the ice cream as the movie began: a promising beach scene with a happy couple on a towel, basking in the sun.

"I wish I was there." Arianna commented dryly as she ate another spoonful of ice cream. Instead of a beach, she sat in her living room of her cheap little house. Hershey was her best friend, and she was single. Her mother had always been afraid Ari would end up single, saying her expectations were too high. Ari didn't think so-- she just wanted someone she could have an actual conversation with. Someone smart, funny, and of course, attractive. That wasn't too much to ask was it?

Ari sighed as the movie went on, finishing her ice cream about twenty minutes in. It was the weekend, which meant she was off, and alot of ice cream and lifetime movies were in her future. At least until Monday. It was dark, which meant it was time to stay inside. The animal attacks lately had been getting worse. Thankfully she had a fenced in yard to at least let Hershey out one more time.

Before she knew it, the movie was over. The woman had shot the guy-- turns out, he was cheating on her with her daughter, and he'd turned psycho. "The surprise twist no one saw coming." She chuckled, patting Hershey on the head as she got up. She threw the trash away and set the spoon in the sink. "Come on, Hersh. Time to go out one more time."

The lab stood and stretched as she mentioned outside, then pattered his way towards the back door. Flicking on the porch light, Arianna opened the door and stepped out. Hershey ran to do his business, and Arianna stifled a yawn. Things were going fine, until she heard Hershey start barking. Immediately, she stepped out into the grass, looking for him. He was by the gate, crouched down, growling and barking at something she couldn't see.

"Hershey!" Arianna yelled, taking a few more steps in his direction. "Come here!"

When he didn't listen, Arianna sighed and started in his direction. He didn't bark very often, but maybe there was a cat over there or something. As she got about halfway to the gate, Hershey jumped on it and the latch came undone. The gate swung open and he shot out, causing Arianna to freeze. "Hershey!" When she realized what had happened, she knew she had to go after him.

Taking off like a shot, Arianna tried chasing him, calling his name, asking if he wanted a treat. Anything. Nothing was working. "Hershey, please come back!"

Liam Matthews
It was dark by the time Liam was finally able to break away from his office and focus on patrolling the border they shared with the town of unsuspecting humans. Padding out of his home on the four legs of his wolf form, he took off at a brisk pace, wanting to get this over and done with. While he knew his Beta and trusted friend could handle running the pack while he was gone, he was always filled with unease when he left. It was his job as Alpha to protect his pack and for the longest time he'd been failing at his job.

First starting off at a trot then speeding up to a job, he then took off at a full run, darting through the trees that surrounded his home. Dodging back and forth and jumping over fallen branches and roots, the brunette reached the edge of the forest in no time. Sliding to a stop, he lifted his nose, scenting the area. So far he all he could smell were the humans who lived nearby. That was normal. That was safe. He let out a huff of air and began to weave his large body in and out of the trees, keeping to the shadows so that his black fur was next to invisible to the human eye.

'LEE!'

The sudden shout, made him stumble, causing him to trip over the root he made to step over. Landing with a heavy thump that no doubt caught the attention of a few animals nearby, Liam let out a low growl, making sure it echoed through the mindlink that his younger sister had opened between them. 'What do you want Marissa?' he grumbled, pushing himself to his paws.

'Where are you? Jesse said you took off.'

If Liam could properly roll his eyes while in wolf form without looking like a spastic creature, he would. 'What a smart deduction,' he grumbled back to her, his amber eyes now scanning the are as he began to hear some nearby barks. His ears perked up, listening closer. The last thing they needed was for one of the scouts for their enemies to be this close to them. 'I'm on patrol, now hush. If you need something bother Jesse.' he told her before firmly shutting their link. He didn't need anymore distractions tonight.

The barking was getting louder and he was starting to hear a human calling out. Lunging forward he took off again, hurrying towards the noise. While he was currently staying in his wolf form to better defend his pack against their enemies, Liam knew he was still part human. The voice belonged to a girl and as he got closer he could understand her words. She was calling out for her dog. He hated the fact that these other wolves were trying to pick his pack off one by one and he despised the fact that they were killing the nearby wildlife to send them a message that they were closing in on their location. Skidding to a halt in front of a fence, he frowned, lifting his muzzle into the air once more to detect any other nearby scents.

So far he could only detect the barking dog and its owner, so that was definitely good. He stood there for a moment, scanning the trees on the other side of the property through the fence, checking to make sure there were no threats nearby. Satisfied that there were none, Liam made to turn around only to pause, catching sight of the narrowed eyes of a chocolate lab, barking and snarling at him through the fence. Sending the dog an unamused look at his attempts to threaten him, he turned and made to head back into the darkness of the forest and finish his patrol when the gate to the fence popped open and the dog darted out, heading right for him.

He cursed loudly in his head, basically screaming. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt somebody's dog, but he wasn't about to let it attack him. Jumping back, he avoided the dogs lunge easily. Crouching down he let out a loud snarl, pulling his lips back and showing his sharp canines. This caused the dog to pause, and if he wasn't too busy trying to startle the other animal into submission, he would've sighed in relief. The lab let out another attempt at a growl before Liam's size intimidated him into submission.

Seeing that the dog wasn't going to keep trying to attack him anymore, Liam relaxed his stance and made to try and herd the dog back into his yard only to freeze at the sight of its owner. She had followed her dog out into the dark, and while part of him noted at how stupid the action was considering the animal attacks, Liam couldn't help but admire the bravery she showed, not abandoning her companion to the night. But that wasn't what truly hit him. No, what truly gave him pause was her scent. She held the type of scent that only someone with power could give off. But she held a type of power he didn't recognize, and there was only one type that he didn't know. Out of all the books and journals in his study left to him by the previous Alpha's there was only one type of power that was currently lost and unknown to his pack.

And Liam was almost positive that he'd just found it.

Going after him was not the smartest idea, but Hershey was her best friend, and there was no way she could survive without him. Especially not knowing she hadn't done everything she could to save him. With her heart hammering in her chest, she reached the gate and scanned the immediate area, spotting him a few yards away, hackles up and with vicious growls that she'd never heard before coming from his throat.

"Hershey, why do you sound like that?" Glancing down to make sure she didn't step in or on anything, since her feet were bare, she took a few careful steps in his direction. "What are you-" She stopped dead when she looked up and saw the large dog on the other side of Hershey. It was quite possibly the largest dog she'd ever seen, and the hairiest. "Ohmygod." She breathed, her entire body stiffening.

"Hershey." She snapped, looking back and forth between the two animals. Her eyes kept getting drawn back to the larger one, who had obviously caused Hershey to submit. He was whining softly now, but had pressed himself flat to the ground. His ears were pulled back, and his tail was neatly tucked underneath his body. "Hershey, come here." He didn't move.

Swallowing heavily, Arianna cast a glance skyward. This is how it ends. She thought to herself, squeezing her eyes shut. Realizing that she didn't want to not be able to see what was coming, she reopened them and looked back at the alpha dog. "Good doggie." She whispered. "Can I get mine and take him home?" She asked, motioning stiffly to Hershey.

Hershey glanced back at his owner, and started to lift himself off the ground, but then pressed himself right back down, whining again. "No, Hershey, we have to go." Arianna hissed, though she couldn't blame him for being scared. She sure as hell was.

What a mess of a day it was. Liam didn't really want to fully think about his current actions. Forcing a regular pet to submit to him wasn't something he wanted to brag about. But it saved both of them a lot of trouble, and that was what matters. Twitching his ears, he listened as far out as he could, wanting to make sure no one threatening was nearby. After finding this girl, no way was he going to let her get hurt. So it would probably be best if he got out of there soon before his scent became too strong.

He let out a huff of air at her words, looking away from her and to her whining dog and sighed. It was almost comical how she glanced to the sky, no doubt thinking he was about to kill her, before asking if she could take her dog home. If he was in his human form he'd laugh. However, he wasn't, and he needed to get a move on. He needed to finish the last bit of patrol which now included her house and return to his pack so he could inform his Beta of what he found.

Liam did his best to roll his eyes at her words. 'Good doggie.' he repeated to himself, his tone almost mocking in his own head. Marissa could never learn of this. With that decision firmly made, he began to stretch, deliberately showing both the dog and the girl that he could overpower them if they tried anything. He doubted they would, but precautions had to be made. Rolling his shoulders he stood up properly on all four legs and gave them each a final stare before letting out a low growl in the dog's direction, letting him run to his owner.

Watching the girl for a few seconds longer, he finally turned and slowly padded back into the trees where he could hide and watch their reaction. He had enough time to make sure they got back inside safely.

Arianna

Arianna didn't know what to do. The larger animal-- because she wasn't quite sure if it was a dog-- was obviously in charge. Hershey made that quite clear with his submissive posture. Arianna stood stiffly, waiting for the attack. Much as she willed Hershey to move with her mind, he didn't budge an inch, and that meant neither could she. She wasn't abandoning her friend.

But the attack never came. The animal across from Hershey stretched and then growled, but didn't pounce. To her utter relief, Hershey pushed himself off the ground and trotted back in her direction, coming to stand beside her legs, whining softly as he looked up at her. She met his dark gaze, reaching out to pet him and hopefully calm him some.

When she looked back up, the animal was gone. It had moved so silently that she hadn't even noticed he was leaving. She blinked, scanning the trees, trying to find him. Hershey brought her back to her senses, and she shook herself. "Come on, Hershey. Let's go home." She whispered, and he licked her hand before starting off towards their yard.

Once back inside the safety of her fence, she quickly latched the gate-- thankful it wasn't broken-- and the pair headed inside. She shut and locked the door, though found herself staring out into the dark for a few minutes still. The sound of Hershey's food bowl clattering to the ground nearly gave her an aneurysm. Whirling around, she saw him sitting innocently beside his bowl, telling her it was dinner time.

Seeing that the girl and her dog were safely back inside their home, their gate firmly latched shut, Liam stepped from the trees once more and began to circle the building, making sure no one was near. He paused near a window and saw how she was jumping when her dog tried to get her attention. He frowned as best he could with his muzzle. He didn't mean to scare her so bad, but he wasn't really sure what else he could have done.

Shaking his head, he brought himself back to the present. 'Rissa?' he called out through the mind link. She responded a moment later, asking him what he needed. 'When you find him, tell Jesse to meet me in my office.' Once she responded with an affirmative, he shut the link again, and hurried to finish his patrol. He needed to finish checking the area and inform his Beta what he'd heard. As the thoughts raced through his mind about the discovery he had just made, Liam knew that for now, he could only trust a few with this information. Two of them being his best friend and sister.

Time flew by as he ran, pausing here and there to check the scents of the area and before he knew it, it was already past midnight and he was on his way back home. So lost in thought that he was, Liam was almost surprised to see his large home which also doubled as the pack house come into sight. Sending out a call to Marissa and Jesse, he asked them to meet him.

Trotting past the almost always open door and up the stairs, he made a beeline straight for the room he could smell the two people he'd asked for. Pushing the door open with his broad shoulders, he dropped into a seated position on the floor, gazing up at his Beta and sister as they remained in human form when they could while he preferred to stay in wolf form. 'We have much to discuss.' he announced with a heavy look.

Jesse Chambers
"Come on, you stupid mother fucker, stop camping!" Jesse leaned forward in his seat, smashing buttons on his xbox controller as he navigated his soldier through the Call of Duty map. His character rounded a corner and was promptly gunned down, earning another series of curses from the young wolf. The twenty-four year old spent most of his free time this way: playing video games and just kicking back. Even during serious moments, he either found a way to laugh at something or bring some humor into the situation. It was a gift, he thought, though others disagreed. Some wondered how he found his way to Beta position to begin with.

To which, of course, he would just grin and shrug.

"Damnit!" The round finished, with his team on the losing side. Tossing his controller onto the empty bean bag chair by the wall, he leaned back in his own seat, lacing his fingers together behind his head. Usually he had someone in here with him; what young guy (and some older) didn't enjoy shooting imaginary people? But tonight he was alone.

Just as he leaned back, his expert hearing caught the sound of approaching footsteps. He turned in his swivel chair, spotting Marissa as she appeared in his doorway, looking grim. "What?" He asked immediately, his smile not fading a bit. "Who pissed in your cheerios?"

Despite herself, Marissa grinned. That was really the best way to deal with Jesse. "Head to the office. Liam's on his way back."

Groaning, Jessa slid over to his left, gesturing at the TV. "I am in the middle of something very important here, Rissa."

"You're gonna be in the middle of finding a new position in a new pack if you don't come on." She quirked a brow in his direction, placing a hand on her hip. "Let's go."

Jesse scowled at her, pushing his tall figure out of the chair and following behind her. Once in Liam's office, Jesse plopped down into the armchair. It wasn't long before Liam, in wolf form, came through the door. He plopped to a sitting position, the mind link between the three coming through clear as day. Pursing his lips, Jesse flung his legs over the side of the chair, leaning back against it. "What did you see? Was it another pack?" Despite his usually easy going, jokester nature, he was very serious when it came to matters of the pack and their safety.

Marissa smirked at Jesse as he followed her and dropped into the armchair in her brother's office. Normally she'd make another quip at him about how he was sitting in the Alpha's chair, but seeing as how Liam stayed in wolf form for the most part these past few months, she'd let it slide. Settling herself into a chair opposite his desk, she positioned herself so that she could see the door.

She loved her brother and knew he was doing what he thought best, but she wasn't too sure if this was the right way to go about things. She sighed, crossing her legs and resting her arms on her knees.

It was only moments later that Liam entered the room, shoving the door open wider with his shoulders. As he settled himself, she let the mind link between her, Jesse, and her brother settle open in a private conversation, blocking out the rest of the pack so that they were just a buzz at the back of her mind. She bit her lip absently as she listened to Jesse question her brother. Marissa could tell that her brother was stressed and she hated it. She wished she could do more, but she knew there wasn't much she could do to help him. Taking in a deep breath, she paused, narrowing her eyes slightly in concentration.

"Whose scent is that?" she asked, tilting her head slightly, trying to place it.

Liam sighed, rolling his neck. 'I found her.' he announced shortly, causing Marissa to jerk upright in her seat, her form now extremely tense.

"You mean..." she trailed off, not even daring to hope until Liam gave her complete confirmation. He nodded and her all the sudden tension her form just drained, leaving her slumped in her chair. "After all these years...Our pack's witch...." she sighed, lifting a hand to rub at her brow. "Is she here? Does she know about us?" she asked, her form becoming alive the more she thought about it. With this girl that Liam had discovered, their pack could rise again! They'd be able to easily fight back against their attackers and take their rightful place as one of the strongest packs! Things could go back to the way they were during their great grandfather's time as Alpha.

Liam shook his head. 'No. Which is why we have a problem.' he nodded towards Jesse, going back to his mention of the other packs. 'She believes herself human. And the attacks we've been looking into, they've been happening all around the town she lives in.'

Jesse Chambers
Jesse glanced over at Marissa as Liam entered the room. Even though the Alpha was in wolf form, Jesse could tell that the grim look his sister had worn earlier had been passed on to him. Although he tried to bring light and humor to everything, it was a well-known fact that their pack was failing. Members were falling, growing sick or even dying, and they were weak against attackers. It was a sad fact, one that not even Jesse could make light of.

"I found her."

Jesse had barely heard Marissa ask who's scent her brother wore, but he did hear Liam's response. Jerking his head upright, Jesse flung his legs back to the front and leaned forward, his eyes steady on Liam's wolf form. "You what?" He asked aloud, a few seconds passing before he even realized he'd spoken the words and not thought them. Shaking his head, he continued in his head. "You found her? Where is she?"

Marissa's thoughts cut his off, and he glanced in her direction, seeing how happy she was. The witch... she was supposed to have already been here, with the pack, helping them to be strong. But she'd been separated from her family, and now Liam had found her. It was fantastic news, but news they had to keep under wraps. For now, at least.

"She doesn't know?" Jesse echoed Liam's thoughts, his eyes widening. "She think's she's... human? That's insane. The attacks are happening probably because of her. We have to go get her." He stood, looking between the two. "For the sake of the pack."

Liam narrowed his eyes at Jesse as he stood. 'No.' he sent back. Shaking his head, he resisted the urge to yawn, the day finally beginning to take its toll on him. 'If we go and drag her here now, she'll resist. We cannot rush into this.' he added.

Marissa nodded slowly, seeing the logic behind her brother's thoughts. "He has a point," she said slowly. "She believes herself human, if we suddenly showed up claiming all these things with no absolute proof, she'll think us mad." she explained, glancing back and forth between her brother and Jesse. "Even if she did agree to come or we dragged her, the second she found a way, she'd take off. And then we'd be divided between trying to protect ourselves and chasing after her to ensure her safety."

Liam nodded in agreement. 'She's right. We have to be careful, take this slow.' he paused, closing his eyes as he let out a deep sigh. 'I'm going to keep going out to her home. First at night, then maybe if she begins to calm down....I'll change back and begin to introduce her to our ways.' he finished, his tone weary. Pushing himself to his feet, he stretched, ready for the day to end.

'Jesse, I'm going to need you to take over more here. You and Rissa both.' he nodded to both of them. 'We're so close to achieving our packs former glory, we can't give in now.'

Jesse Chambers
Had Jesse been in wolf form, he would have immediately sat at Liam's simple command, ears folded back. He would have then lay on the floor and rolled over to show his soft underbelly, submitting to the Alpha. Instead, he simply crossed his arms and plopped back down in the seat he'd been previously occupying, a soft hmph sound emitting from the back of his throat.

To make matters worse, Marissa agreed with Liam. Jesse couldn't stop himself from throwing his arms up in frustration. "We don't know what she thinks or believes, and we should find out." He crossed his arms once more, listening to Marissa, head bowed towards the floor. Though he was Beta, he treated her with as much respect-- normally-- as he would Liam.

'She's right. We have to be careful, take this slow.'

At Liam's confirmation, Jesse simply sighed and lifted his gaze once more to meet the others'. "Fine. But don't be surprised when shit hits the fan and she's not ready because you wanted to take it slow." He stood from the chair, turning to glance at Liam. "Don't worry about here. We've got the pack covered." He nodded towards Marissa, then slipped from the room.

It was dark by the time Liam emerged from the trees near the girl's home. While he had plans to soon meet her in his human form, he knew he needed to scope the area more. He couldn't afford any mistakes. Not with something so big. Raising his head he inhaled, sorting through all the scents nearby, his lip pulling up in a snarl as he caught the scent of rotting flesh. He relaxed slightly as it ended up being far away from the girl.

He sighed. Good. He didn't need the animal killings to be happening close to her. That meant he had even less time than he already had. His pack couldn't afford that. Shoving past a few stray branches he darted the few feet of road between the trees and her home.

Approaching her fence, Liam paused, listening for her dog. A smirk pulled at his lips at the thought of what had happened yesterday. Hearing nothing but muted sounds, proving that both the girl and her dog were inside the house, he took a few steps back before darting forward and jumping the fence.

He landed with a soft thud, the grass having muffled the sound of his weight hitting the ground, something he was thankful for. He wanted to get the girl used to his presence as a wolf, not frighten her. And while he was sure showing up in her backyard out of nowhere wasn't the best way to go about doing this, there was little else he could do.

Liam just had to make sure that he didn't scare her beyond his random appearance. He nodded to himself as he laid down, planning to get comfortable while in clear sight of her back door. He made sure the second that door opened or she looked out the window she'd see him.

Nodding to himself he lowered his head, resting his muzzle on his paws, knowing all that was left was to wait.

'Hopefully this doesn't take the whole night...'

Arianna

The rest of Arianna's night had gone pretty uneventfully. Though she'd been inclined earlier in the evening to have a kind of movie marathon, the events with Hershey and the other large animal had spooked her. After feeding Hershey dinner, she'd gone and crawled into her bed, feeling his presence on the bed beside her a few moments later. It hadn't taken long for the pair to be out cold.

Arianna awoke with a start the next morning, after nightmares that she couldn't remember. She knew they had been fierce due to the light layer of sweat covering her body, and her accelerated heartrate. But everything was much less scary during the day, so she got up and let Hershey out, and hopped in the shower herself. She didn't really have any plans for the day, although she could use some groceries. She got out of the shower and dressed in a pair of shorts complete with a shimmery silver tank top, brushing her hair and pulling it back into a bun.

Letting Hershey in, she fed him breakfast and decided to treat herself to an iced coffee. Ignoring her own little coffee maker, she gathered her things and left her house, making sure to lock up behind her. A few hours and two cups of iced mocha later, she was back home. Day turned into evening, and Arianna had almost forgotten about the previous nights encounter.

That is, until it happened again. It was dark out when she pulled open the back door, noticing that Hershey hadn't moved from beside his bowl. "Come on." She urged him, placing a hand on her hip. Absentmindedly, she let her gaze wander out to the backyard, where she immediately spotted Liam's figure. She froze, hand on her hip and the other grasping the door.

Why was he back?

There she was. Liam hadn't been laying in her backyard for too long before the girl finally came to the door, no doubt to let her dog out. He could hear how the dog was hesitating, causing frustration for the girl. He felt a bit bad for that, seeing as he was causing stress to the one he was planning to ask for assistance. Lifting his head from his paws, he shook the fur of his head, stretching out the muscles in his neck and shaking his fur.

Pushing himself into a sitting position, he kept his head ducked down, trying his best to look less intimidating. He was sure that if Marissa saw him she would be laughing. His giant wolf body hunched over in an attempt to look smaller and nonthreatening. Liam figured he made a funny sight, something he would never live down if his sister caught wind of how he looked, however if it got the girl even somewhat calmer around him, he'd count it a win and put up with it.

Glancing up at the girl, he waited a moment before slowly standing and taking a few slow steps towards her. He stood a few feet away from her, this time waiting, hoping, that she would take a step towards him. Not that he would have ever hurt her before, but now that he knew exactly who she was, he would do his best to never force into anything she didn't want or hurt her.

Liam sat down then, his black fur shining in the moonlight as he waited for the girl standing across from him to take the next step. Whether it be coming closer to him or going back into her home, he would respect her decision.

Arianna

Arianna couldn't move. She couldn't breathe. The beast had spared her and Hershey the night before-- what if he was back because he'd changed his mind? God, she didn't want to die, and poor little Hershey, he didn't deserve to die... She could hear him whining from behind her, wanting to have the courage to protect his human mother, but also too afraid to move.

They stood there for a few moments, no one moving. The large animal moved first, and she had to blink a few times to realize that he had moved up to a sitting position but had his head bowed. Slowly, she released the breath she'd been holding, loosening her grip on the door just slightly. After a moment, he looked up and then got up-- she drew in another sharp breath-- and took a few silent steps in her direction.

She wanted to slam the door shut and never open it again, but for some reason, her body wasn't listening to her. Fight or flight response her ass. She was frozen to the spot, staring at the large animal as he stopped a few yards from her back door. "N-nice doggie." She whispered, peering down at him in the darkness. "Good boy."

Hershey whined again, but he was beside her now, causing her to jump. Looking down, she saw that Hershey was slowly putting one paw down the steps, and then another. He was approaching the other dog, sniffing the air around him cautiously. "Hershey, what are you doing?" Arianna hissed, trying to nudge him back inside with her foot. He stepped over her foot and padded down the rest of the steps, coming to a stop at the bottom and plopping down, huffing.

Arianna looked between her beloved friend and the strange animal, praying he wasn't here to attack. "Good boy." She whispered again.

Liam held back the urge to sigh. Of course the dog had moved first and come closer to him. He could understand it's mindset, seeing as he held the abilities of pack-mindset of a wolf, but still. He was also human, and the fact that the dog which had thought it could take him on the night before was just....sighing. Liam sighed in his mind. Annoying wasn't the right word to use, he actually liked the dog, just at the moment he was less than impressed.

Hearing the girl's voice again, he tore his gaze away from the dog and looked up at her. He really did wonder how else he could make himself look less threatening. It was hard with his large form which was more meant for battle than comforting or relaxing others.

Liam let out a small whine, ducking his head down a bit lower in an attempt to calm her and perhaps bring her slightly closer. This would be his last try. If she remained where she was then he would leave and come back tomorrow, this time as a human. He'd have to come back in his wolf form still, but he knew he needed to actually speak to her. Looking up at her from underneath his lashes, he hoped that she would take the first step to overcoming her wariness of him.
