Vaskran Hierarchy

The Vaskran Hierarchy is an empire originating from their home planet of Vesporia near the galactic centre. It is also the first alien empire ever encountered by the UEG in 2843, and inadvertently led to war between the two factions. While the war has ended, relations are still somewhat strained. The empire itself has a hierarchical form of government, with the highest-ranking Hierarchs being on the top of society, and normal citizens being at the bottom. The faction is currently ruled by Prime Hierarch Rnas Krant.

Vaskrans are a race of warm-blooded reptilian bipedals, with males standing at an average of six and a half feet, females six feet. They have digitigrade legs, allowing them to be much more agile and stronger than species with plantigrade feet such as humans. Their hardened scales form a natural protective covering that can protect them from bladed attacks, although they are still useless when faced with gunfire. The colour of their scales vary from ethnicity, and can range from fiery red, to bright green, to charcoal black. Vaskrans have an elongated snout with a pair of nostils with a hightened sense of smell in front, and three eyes on each side of their head. This allows them to have a very good perception, and they have evolved night vision. Their hands have four digits with a sharp claw on each end, and three long toes, also with sharp claws. Due to their carnivorous diet, Vaskrans have two rows of razor-sharp teeth used to tear through meat, and have tiny, backward-facing barbs (papillae) on their long tongues, which makes it easier to lick meat from bones.

The Vaskrans have evolved these traits from millions of years of evolution on their arid and dry home planet. Vaskrans are oviparous, meaning they lay eggs, normally in pairs. Once hatched, Vaskrans mature very quickly, reaching what would be the human adult age in around twelve years. They also have longer lifespans than humans, able to live for some three hundred years compared to humanity's one hundred and eighty.

Technology and military wise, they are roughly on par with the UEG, having large and even blockier ships than the UEGNC. One of the key difference with the UEG is that the Vaskran Military opts for quantity and firepower over quality and protection. This means that Vaskran craft tend to be more manoeuvrable and agile than lumbering UEG ones, and are packed to the brim with energy weapons. However, these vehicles tend to be much weaker, going down in single shots from AA gauss guns, where UEG aircraft would go down in two or three. Vaskran craft are also a lot easier and cheaper to produce, allowing them to field massive numbers of weak and cheap units to overwhelm enemies.

Empire of Heydros


Theatrical Arts
The infamous play A Penal's Bride written by a proletariat Lucjan Pienkowski, shows the large and wide cultural and economic gap between the Proletariat and the higher classes. The play has the lead character, who is a Penal soldier that fought in a Heydrian Great War, attempt to start a resistance cell and liberate themselves from the Imperium and the higher class Boyars. However, the main lead role falls in love with a Boyar's daughter. The play ends with the lead character being drafted into the Black Army and the audience assumes that he was killed because in the epilogue, there is a description that "He went to hell and never came back."

A musical known as "Morderstwo" (meaning murderer in Heydrian) which really riled up the Proletariats and the Penals by having a musical in which the main character's daughter is kidnapped and becomes the ward of a Boyar, while the main character is sentenced to join the Black Army as a penal soldier. Years after, the Boyar believes that the main character is dead, but returns to the capital; a convict. The main character vows to get revenge on the Boyar.

Books and Literature
A very famous piece of writing called "The Black Army" is a non-fictional book on the rise of power and the decline of the middle class, hated by the Proletariat and loved by the Boyars.

Legends and Myth
The most famous myth told by Heydrians was the Tale of Two Brothers, where two brothers set off to colonize the stars, but had then had a disagreement over how to rule and began to split off and form new nations in the stars.

Living in the Empire of Heydros
Metro-World Life
Many in the high life of the Metropolitan worlds of the Heydrian Empire enjoy high standards of living. Most citizens live in comfort, and the homeless and those that aren't fortunate enough to be self-sufficient are drafted into the Black Army. Many high class homes and middle class homes are here, although there is a smaller percent of middle class homes compared to the Proletariat housing and the Boyar housing.
Farm-World Life
Many workers on the farms clock in many hours every cycle, producing thousands upon thousands of tons of raw food everyday, these raw foods are then shipped to local factories to be processed into food for the Imperium. Many consider this life style to be tedious, but there is enough support for the workers to live comfortably. Farm Worlds tend to be far less populated, around 1-3 billion inhabitants.


Factoids and random information
Almost all Heydrians can sing at a very exceptional level. It is known that Heydrian soldiers tend to sing a true bass song while marching into the battle lines. Heydrians have been taught how to use their vocals as instruments, rather than having physical instruments. Vocalists are deemed as stronger soldiers mentally.

The Technology that made The Cataphract Union become who they are, the technology of "Fragmentation" as they call it serves many purposes. By tearing apart the host to the atomic level, its turn in to a much more portable and quicker form o transportation only to be formed in the selected destination or stored away. There are two forms of Fragmentation: Transportation and Idle

Transportation
Used to what most see as FLT and "Teleportation", the cataphract use such form of there technology to quickly appear in locations in blink of a eye or travel long distances in short time. Through a short corridor or through space. Small personal such as King Valor himself has Mod himself to be able to "Teleport" through short distances without effort, following the same concept as Transportation but at a minimal scale, then there are the examples of FLT where massive war ships are disintegrated with its crew, transported in to a whole new area. Using the Fragmentation Module to keep the ship and its crew in order a its slingshot across space, once its forms everything will be back in order as it was before it began FTL. Its advice any and all personal is to keep STILL 20 seconds before fragmentation to prevent body misplacement, detachment and death from happening.

Idle
Used to store away large objects or even personal in portable size, by fragmentation, the objects or person is torn apart and strip from its current state, memorizing patterns and state, "Saving" the object away. Its NOT recommended to be used on personal, the original person is said to be killed in the process and once formed would be only but a exact copy of said person to the atomic level, but its NOT them in theory. It wont effect in any way but its advice for entities that experience "Sympathy", "Feelings" and "attachment" to said person to never use Idle technology as the discovery of the "Loaded" person not REALLY being them would effect mentally or form lack of confidence or trust.

==This statement has been approved by Cataphract scientist, 48 "Feeling" beings have been tested in Idle technology and once "Allies" to said person, have seen them as "Clones" or "Fake (Name here)" forming Miss trust,questioning or hatred. Further Physiological testing is needed with less sympathetic creatures==

The Derelicts have admiration towards there creation, each and every corner: Buildings,decorations,weaponry,clothing once used, every aspect used such beauty but what stranded out most was there massive architectural influence. Full planets transform in to marble and metallic wonders, there corridors lined with ember metal or gold to give its splendid sight, sculptures that hover over the ground giving light and aspect, long Fragmentation corridors that works as instant travel from one side to another of a planet they have conquered. Everything crafted by the Cataphract is always formed to represent there craftsmanship.

Enigma-class stealth vessel

The Enigma-class stealth vessel is an advanced reconnaissance vessel operated by the UEGNC. It has advanced stealth systems that allow it to hide from not only visual detection, but from sensor sweeps as well. Even without its cloak, it is still able to seamlessly blend in with the surrounding space with its low-visibility refractive coating. Heat sinks hide heat produced from engine emmissions which allow the ship to appear the same temperature as surrounding space. Since no known ship is able to completely prevent the release of emmissions, its systems distort sensors and confuse them into thinking the ship is a wreckage, space debris, or asteroid.

As far as weapons go, since the Enigma-class is not meant for direct engagements, it possesses very little weapon systems. It is mounted two 50mm point defence turrets, one missile pod containing fifteen missiles, and a single EMP mine. Its true strength, however, lies in its electronic warfare capability. It has offensive systems that allow it to jam sensors and scramble signals, along with blocking communication. These offensive measures can disable attacking ships, allowing an Enigma-class to escape.

The Vaycantan Culture

The Vaycantan culture involves the unity and cooperation between the major races to make life easier and increase the quality of life. Although most of the vassals are self governing they tend to follow the imperiums lead. Although militarily the Vaycantan Technology isnt up to par with most empires their technology to the quality of life is particularly advanced. Commercial holograms, Public transport, medicine, telecommunications, and of course, psiconic research. The Architecture has beauty in mind however each race has their own type and how they want to build and how they want them designed it this makes cities rather unsymmetrical and chaotic adding the best of each of the peoples artistry, vassals are exempt.

In education every citizen is taught that all races whether small, large, strong, or smart they all contribute to the imperium, however vassals under the imperium dont have to follow these teachings. In every city of course, there are large temples containing a shrines to each god, citizens come to these temples to pray regularly to the god they find has most influence on their life. Although not mandatory the imerpium makes sure that it is hammered into their everyday life, through teachings and undertones in broadcasts and TV. If they aren't religious they will covert, and if they wont their youth will. These subliminal messages are enforced through all vassals and trade ports in the effort to convert other empires populous and keeping everyone in line.

The Vaycantan Faith
Hedrilism

The Vaycantan Faith involves five different deities these deities do not have a universal form so most races simply fill that by making them out to be their race so when worshiped a ReiConess would be praying to a ReiConess statue while a human would be praying to a Human statue. Each of these deities are all revered equally as they all provide benefits to the average persons life in belief.

Irus - God Of stability. The bringer of illness and strife. People come to pray to him for Stability in mind and life, he represents the stillness of mind and body, he cures disease to those who pray to him and mental illnesses. Soldiers often pray to him for stability of the mind in the battlefield, Governors for when they are stressed out and leaders for when their mind is overloaded. He is often depicted with a scale in his hand and a neutral face.

Aemis - Goddess of death and fertility. The bringer of the end that everyone fears and the bringer of that which creates life. People come pray to her for a long life and for the certainly that a child is born, She represents obviously life and death. She brings life and takes away life into the peaceful afterlife. Soldiers pray to her to either stay alive or for a peaceful and painless death. Governors and leads pray to her for certainly that their empire, world and livelihood stays alive. She is often depicted with a child in her arms

Although quite rare these fearsome creatures are perfect for hunting prey. They use their Psionics to disappear from sensors (not the naked eye though) and to find lifeforms. When the ReiConess encountered these beasts they first thought they were just animals but soon found out they were pre-sentient. The ReiConess uplifted them and the Jagkusar now serve the imperium usually as hitmen or behind the lines commander killers. They can disable entire ships if they manage to breach it and slither through air ducts to be unseen. These creatures can stand at 10 feet tall but thats just the legs their body is only about 3 feet wide and three feet tall but they are 22 feet in length. their powerful jaws are their main weapon sometimes reinforced with Durasteel. They are useless outside of melee combat but have developed an instinct to avoid open areas and dodging projectiles.

only 280 million of these terrifying monsters exist and exclusively in the Kenkurai Republic.

A major rebel group from the Outer Colonies. They rose to power after the Vaskran War, and are much more powerful than most rebel groups besides the Coalition of Free Colonies and the United Systems. They are a well-armed and well-trained fighting force, being to match the UEGAF in both land and space combat. Their ships are built by several corporations supporting them. This group is listed as a high-priority group in the UEG Interstellar Security database.

The Coven of Oraen

The Coven of Oraen are the mortal enemies of the Empire of Heydros, they've been constant guerrilla warfare with the Heydrians since the Heydrians left Heydros to colonize. They utilize many weak xeno forces comprising of natives to the Hydra System and neighboring systems in the Heydrian Empire.

The Coven, as they are usually called by Heydrians, tend to use ballistic weapons and explosives. They hide in the jungles of Oraen. The planet of Oraen is where this resistance group is based out of. Coven leadership is comprised of three "witches" (as they are called by in Heydrian society) who are openly opposed to the Hedrilist religion.

The Vasains are the light jungle troops of the Coven. They are quick in the dense swamps and jungles of Oraen. However, they are easily killed since of their lack of equipment. They tend to use older models of STAVKA Type 1s
Tree-Rooters

Tree Rooters are the heavy infantry of the Coven, they tend to size at about 2.5 meters tall, using their raw strength to destroy Heydrian Living Tanks. They are born from the swamp and the jungles, and bound together.

The Oraens were the original inhabitants, til the Heydrians came over and decided to declare war on them. They use STAVKAs Type 1s usually. And are the main ground force of the army, along side the Vasains.

Xenosaur Large-One

Xenosaur Large Ones are the main infantry of the Xenosaurs, they charge in with primitive weapons and ancient firearms(created with the use of reverse engineering STAVKA Type 1s) They are often found in swamp worlds and jungles near the Oraen system.

Xenosaur Small-One

Small Ones are the small scouts of the Xenosaur Coven forces. They are quiet and quick through the jungles and swamps of Oraen III. They tend to use javelins and rarely a STAVKA Type 2.


Tlacotl, Coven Leader for the Xenosaurs and Vasains

Tlacotl was the first leader of the Coven. The Xenosaurs and the Oraens had allied quickly when the Heydrian threat had arrived. Tlacotl is an expert in Guerrilla warfare.


The Xenosaurs, are the reptilian race of the Coven, they often charge blindly into the Heydrian lines, absorbing most of the firepower of the Heydrians. They were also native inhabitants of Oraen. At one point, the Xenosaurs were rivals with the Oraens.
They utilize primitive weapons such as axes and bone swords



To this day, the Heydrians and the Coven still fight each other for dominance.

Outside of imperium space on the fringe of both UEG and Imperium territories.

The main black market source of the two large entities that it neighbors Alpha is an amalgamation of pleasures and high crime. The Station itself used to be a large asteroid mining station until Pirates came and raided it. Over time black market dealers used Alpha as a staging and refueling port, over a few years as the station gained notoriety more and more dealers came to it and soon the place was renowned as a place where "you can get anything" it boosts a wavering population of a few billion coming in and away seeking pleasure and rare items. The chairmen of the Enra committee uses this port as a way to sell products that are illegal by imperial decree and UEG rebels use this as a way to make money to fund their campaigns against the UEG, other empires are known to use this station as a way to gain information as well. Alpha today is a den of shady actions with anarchy as its main law only bound by the strong making the rules and everyone just not wanting to die.

Rebel ships and miscellaneous cargo ships are a common sight around the station as well as smaller civilian vessels, rebels are known to guard the station but the crimelords who control the station have established a few defensive turrets missiles and various other technologies. Small skirmishes of opposing factions are extremely common in the dens of this filth filled station.


There are four districts:

The Paradise District - full of clubs drugs and violence the paradise district is where one goes to have a good time, it is dominated by the smell of sex, perfume, and alcohol while the ears are assaulted with various musics of all over the galaxy blaring out their lyrical poisons into the minds of the inhabitants and passerby's. Neon lights and signs never go out dealers have this place as their market.

The Market district - Where brave merchants and shifty buyers go, the Market District is where you go to get whatever you want, almost anything can be found here however whether or not it is affordable is another story. You can request objects of varying rarity and almost certainly someone will go hunting out for it. although the more experienced and successful treasure hunters will be looking out for the highest bidder.


The Shipyard District - More a docking bay to unload and off load cargo rather than a actual shipyard this place is often seen with body bags leaving and with shady figures watching over their cargo and interest. the ears are hammered with inudstrial work with workers crudely making ships or extending shipyard itself.

The Quarter District - The living quarters of the station it is notoriously overcrowded although hunger is number really an issue stabbings and killings are fairly common to people who dont know where to avoid.

Notable Vassals of the Kefalonian Empire

Humans make up most of the vassal states that pledge their allegiance to the Kefalonian Crown. It was commonplace for Terran settlers to become stranded far from Earth and turn to the Kefalonians for military protection. In general, these humans are thoroughly "Kefalonianized," practicing the Kefalonian religion and observing their manners of dress and custom. They are, however, a bit more rebellious and are prone to getting the Empire entangled in regional squabbles with their more aggressive nature. The largest human vassals of the Empire are the Republics of Rum and Eoska, and the Viceroyalties of Aeonis, Pavonis, Merth, and Kealivan.

The Pheians are the inhabitants of the planet Pheia, which is located close to the Kefalonian home system. The Pheians are known to be aggressive, rude, and warlike. Although they too have been thoroughly evangelized and culturally assimilated, they still remain stubborn and headstrong members of the Trade Empire. Pheians, with their ability to heal much more quickly from wounds make excellent shocktroops and mercenaries. They also make up a special division of the Kefalonian Army known as the Stormcoats. They were one of the first races that Kefalonians ever made contact with when they aided Pheian rebels in their thousand year war against a brutal, genocidal world government. Politically, the Pheians are organized as the Republic of Pheia.

Karanis (singular Karani) are bird-like humanoids hailing from the small moons of Veregos and Dragos, which orbit the superearth Remius IV in the Remius System near the fringes of Kefalonian territory. Karanis are gifted pilots and mechanics, with an almost religious zeal for air and spacecraft. They are one of the more culturally-independent of the races under the Empire, as they still retain most of their customs. The Karani Republic is one of the oldest continuous political entities in the Trade Empire besides the Kefalonian Monarchy itself. In modern times, Karanis make for ace pilots and good engineers in the Kefalonian Navy.


 
The Armies of The Kefalonian Trade Empire

Above pictured is the standard field dress for Kefalonian Army troops. The "drab khaki" is the default color scheme of the Army. When fighting in snowy environments, they often employ a winterized white-and-light grey color scheme, and in urban environments will sometimes employ a drab grey color scheme. Each trooper is equipped with a tungsten-steel cuirass that is resistant (but not impervious) to energy weapons and small-to-mid caliber projectiles as well as a helmet made of the same materials. Kefalonian soldiers are often divided into squads of six, each squad having a medic, a breacher, a marksman, a heavy weapons specialist, and two riflemen. Medics can be differentiated by their white and red armbands. Officers are often differentiated with peaked caps.

Above is a Kefalonian heavy weapons trooper equipped with a plasmathrower. This class of soldier are more heavily armored and generally carry heavy anti-infantry and anti-vehicle weaponry.

Footmobile Weaponry of the Kefalonian Army

The standard-issue Kefalonian plasma rifle is intended for use against lightly or moderately armed enemy infantry or light vehicles. They are effective at up to 300 yards, making them decent for close to mid range engagements. This model uses a microfusion cartridge as its source of power.

The Kefalonian standard-issue magnetic rifle is a Gauss rifle that fires 10.2 mm projectiles at roughly 1/10 lightspeed. These weapons impart great concussive force, and thus are devastating against infantry and effective against light and moderately armored vehicles. Due to the terminal velocity of the projectile, it has an effective range of over 10 miles, but a kill from that distance has never been confirmed.

The plasma revolver is the preferred sidearm of most soldiers as well as policemen and private citizens. The weapon works by slotting microfusion cells into the eight chambers (most have an auto-loading feature) which are then discharged by the action. These weapons are highly lethal at close range and against unarmored targets.

The magnetic pistol is a sidearm version of the magnetic rifle, a small Gauss weapon firing a 3.6 mm round. While not as deadly as the long-gun, the mag pistol is reserved only for military service and civilian ownership is banned.
 
Notable weapons of the imperium​
Plasma projectors - Plasma projectors are obviously plasma weapons, they fire extremely hot rays of plasma at the enemy at varying intensities and speeds. They are mainly ship mounted weapons that can turn an entire city block into slag and a few meters of dirt below that city block. They dont really have a turret to turn around to point at so they are generally spread throughout the body of the ship, easily hide-able these projectors could be in places one does not expect. they typically have a firing arc of about 60 degrees meaning multiple projects can fire upon a single target. Each plasma projector is made with varying degrees in mind, these are;

High Intensity - Unlike normal projectors these massive things are meant to cut through capital ship armor and then some more, they fire a especially hot liquid form of plasma at a very light velocity. this plasma doesnt simply burn though objects, it seeks out colder objects to melt them. This typically means that the plasma loves dense materials and will generally start to diverge to it. Against shields the plasma simply attempts to blast through it other than that it may look like water hitting an object.

The other plasma projectors typically fire a stream of plasma the low intensity ones in particular are meant to overwhelm enemy shields and blind enemy senors with the sheer amount of them. These plasma projectors also have a dual purpose of anti-fighter and missile fire. The medium intensity are basically the multi-role version of the projectors able to do just about all of its cousins abilities although not as good. They may cut ships better that the low ones but slower than the high ones.

Plasma Cannon(ship mounted) - The ship mounted Plasma cannons are an entire beast on their own compared to its Projector siblings. The average plasma cannon is about the size of a beacon frigate although the one on the frigate is slightly smaller than the ones on a dreadnought and carrier. It fires not only plasma but a chemical compound within that is set to explode once the plasma it is in has made contact, 15 seconds after contact and melting has happened the chemical compound explodes, the more the plasma it is in contact to the larger the explosion meaning if a plasma cannon happens to fire two or more rounds into the same spot the larger the explosion. one of these monstrous explosions is similar to an asteroid 1 kilometer across hitting a planet, the plasma itself is similar to the ones used in high intensity plasma projectors.

Missiles and torpedos - Missiles go boom with a big mess Torpedos go boom with less mess on the outside. Plasma torpedos in particular has two layers, the outer layer is your traditional super hot plasma but the inside is similar to ones used in high intensity plasma projectors. needless to say these torpedos do massive damage and the imperium knows it very well. Non-plasma torpedos attempt to dig in as far as they can and blow up within the hull, although these explosives arent as large as missiles. Missiles on the other hand go boom real good, they explode on impact or on a timer making them excellent against shields and masses of starfighters. Both of these projectiles are extremely long ranged and are dual purpose although they will struggle against well designed armors.

Railguns - These railguns aren't anything particularly special just that the shenra empire has an affinity for them other than missiles. these mass drivers arent as advanced as other empires railguns but they can give quite the beating if fired enough, the projectiles will more than likely either tear through the hull or dent it real good.

King Valor Ellisov IV, 68th King of the Valor Line. A lofty title for the current king of the Kefalonian Trade Empire. While his official title is "His Imperial Majesty", "sir" works just fine for him. Ascending the throne at the age of 61 after the untimely death of his father, Ellisov was thrust into the demanding role of a wartime king. Showing a great acumen for politic and browbeating, he overcame bureaucratic roadblocks to streamlining the Armed Forces Appropriation Budget Approval Process, which is considered a crucial factor in the decisive victory of Kefalonian forces in the Gorgothan Conflict. After his first wife and mother of his eldest three children died of severe heart complications, he remarried a duchess and produced four more children, the youngest being Pavlov---a child afflicted with an unknown form of epilepsy that resists all forms of treatment. Personally, His Highness is known to be a family man with a distinctly warm and friendly approach to politics. He is known affectionately as the "Grandfather of the Kefalonian People."
