Suggestion Mini Tutorial?

I understand it may be complicated, but I would love to see something like a mini tutorial for newcomers. I understand we have tutorials already, but by mini tutorials I mean a short tour of what to see in the site, maybe along with a tiny light up of the 'new thread' circle so that those that are apparently not all there in their newness will not have to search a section or worse, like I did, the aforementioned new thread button for nearly five minutes.

People are dumb, and new places make us all dumber after all! :p

A little tutorial is a great idea. Also, though, isn't there some sort of message that gets sent to new members on the site? I know that I received a copy of it when it came out despite now being a new member. It gave a run down of the rules and explained a few ares of the site. Did other people receive this? I couldn't have imagined it. XD

It did, but some areas were not mentioned, so they may intimidate new folks.

This sounds like a great idea. Hopefully it will be taken into consideration, nothing wrong with a bit of help to get people going.

I agree that a beginners section would be neat. Maybe title it "New? Learn how to start here!", or something.

Perhaps something someone(s) from the @Helper team could make this a new project C:.
