Name: Oriwoda Forgefleet

Appearance: Oriwoda is hefty, like all good dwarfs should be. She stands at a little over four feet in height. Her almond shaped eyes are a dark brown color, nearly black in the right lighting, and hugged close by thin dark eyebrows. Her thick hair is a shiny obsidian color, some fashioned in two braids that frame her wide face, while the rest falls down her back, just a little past her shoulders. She is never seen without her so-called talisman, a beaded necklace with a tooth hanging in the center. The tooth belonged to her first pet, a lovely wolf beast she nicknamed “Grog” when she was a little dwarfling.

Age: Roughly 23 in human years

Race: Dwarf

Military Standing: A mere foot soldier

Celestial or Infernal?: Celesital

Personality: Oriwoda is humble and hardworking person who takes pride in herself and her accomplishments. Ori tends to be a no-nonsense kind of person when there's work to be done, but despite her serious demeanor, she knows how to be playful and has a good sense of humor. She values education and knowledge above all and tries to be a peace-maker by solving arguments with words instead of weapons. However, Ori's not a pushover and she'll defend herself when she must, even if it resorts to violence, though thanks to her even-tempered nature that is rarely the case. Ori hopes to explore the world some day. She fantasizes about having epic adventures with all sorts of quaint people.

Backstory: Oriwoda grew up relatively isolated, never coming into contact with anyone outside her immediate clan. Though she has no complains about her family – she and her 12 brothers and sisters were all raised pretty well, she would say – Ori always had a nagging feeling, something inside her that simply wanted more. She spent her days tucked away, practically absorbing any sort of literature she could get her hands on, as sort of an escape from her everyday life. She was teased quite often due to her bookish nature. After all, dwarfs are supposed to hit things and build things, right? Leave the reading to the elves or humans who weren't as tough as her own folk. However, Ori took these jests in stride. She knew her clan loved her, oddities and all. They would protect her, and she would do the same thing for them.

Because of her devotion to her people, Oriwoda was quick to volunteer herself when her race needed manpower. Right away, she enlisted in an infantry position in hopes that she'll see the world outside of the mountain in which she has spent her whole life. Despite being more of a pacifist, Ori is oddly hopeful that this strange and impending war will propel her into the adventure she always wanted. Perhaps she'll be the one to unite the races in the battle between the Celestials and Infernals, a conflict with consequences she hasn't fully grasped yet.

Weaknesses: When things don't go her way, Oriwoda tends to close up, to shut out everyone and recluse into herself. She tends to be stubborn as well. When she is stuck with something, she would rather take the hard way and try to work it out herself than admit she needs help from someone else. She does not have much real-life experience, so she has a more "romanticised" view of how the world actually works.

Strengths: Oriwoda is open-minded and a good diplomat. She isn't hasty, trying to see all sides of a situation before she makes a decision. Being a dwarf, Ori also has a high stamina. It takes a lot to wear her out, and even then she'll refuse to call it quits.

Name: Bacht Valetyna

Appearance:
A kind-faced man looking more fitting to be an aging father or teacher than a soldier. His facial hair is groomed to show a restrained pair of sideburns, complimenting a short goatee and trimmed mustache. His hair is raked back, with noticeable grey hairs ran over the ears. He has wrinkles suggesting his advanced age, though only so terribly that it would be deemed 'fitting.' Bacht tends to wear a brown leather longcoat, ending at the knees. The neck is opened to just reach the shoulders, showing the dark-red vest and loose white shirt underneath. Typically seen wearing a pair of old spectacles.

In combat, he tends to wear a modified version of the unique armour of his company: Half-plate, ending at the waist to allow a length of chainmail to protect above the knees. The latter being partially covered by the bottom of a bright blue tabbard. Not typical, but not quite as unique as what gives them distinguishment: A customized lobster helm, where the face protection is hammered to represent human likeness. For Bacht, his plate is lined with brass to mark out his rank.

Age: 45

Race: Human

Military Standing: Reassigned inquisitorial captain, shifted under the authority of the royal army for the inter-species war.

Celestial or Infernal?: Celestial

Personality: Bacht is a professor, inquisitor, and soldier all. He's a curious man who enjoys educating, the recollection of personal stories, and philosophical debate. He's crude and blunt when he feels the need to be, but he tries to not be unnecessary. However, he is an inquisitor most of all. What he's experienced and done has made him somewhat of a sociopath, very manipulative, and many times ruthless. What to expect from him differs depending on where you stand.

Backstory:

Bacht was lucky, certainly. Though it can seem like a hillarious statement in some ways, being born a lowly street urchin who had to beg and steal to survive, he came to live better than most other unwanted children. Of course, this didn't make the memories of such experiences any less hellish. He took any chance for coin or bread. Sometimes it would end with only a half-empty stomach, other times merely bruises. Things changed for him when he was taken in by a monk to the local church, and given proper care. He'd remain there, serving under the faith. He was given a proper education and care that he could once only dream of.

During the spread of Thantos, Bacht's calling took him elsewhere from the simple preaching of the monastery. As the corruption spread and the kingdom's propaganda was in full force, Bacht signed on with the royal army. He fought as a man-at-arms against the infernals, but grew in him a fascination with the beings. He would write down their reactions to materials, how they fight, how they defend themselves, the state of their minds, and whatever else he could gather. The war was straining, exhausting even, and brutal. However, he saw himself through it alive. A veteran of the infernal war, but his interest in the beings never died. Even more, he saw how dangerous such a corruption truly was. He aimed to collect more information on the beings, from military reports, sightings, and records. He comes to work as a freelancer, willing to lend his service to investigate, fight, train, teach, or lend any other hand to fight against the darkness.

In his late-twenties, he catches a rumour of a special group tasking itself with seeking out the infernals which have still infiltrated the civilization. Though they would come to be known as brutal, they would also be terrifyingly efficient. Bacht had no qualms with signing on, showing a surprising amount of experience already when going through their training program. He grows in experience and knowledge, coming to learn more on necromancy, demons, vampires, wraiths, and all other beings where there was written information to learn. He eventually becomes a professor within their program, preparing other new recruits for the deadly task. Continuing to be an agent, he develops a reputation for competence. Among his accomplishments, the cleansing of Blackwood is his greatest of all. By Bacht's late thirties, the Creeds have enough distinguishment that they have been given permission to mount their own front in the infernal lands. Bacht's experience, knowledge, and ability earn him a recommendation to an officer's education. His lack of money was... mostly irrelevant. While he earned some dirty looks from the higher born, he was tolerated enough to remain in the program. Following his graduation, he leads his own company of men to the front. Designed under his eye, they take on a mix of a supporting and light-infantry role. They specialize in guerilla tactics, using a mix of alchemical bombs, crossbows, and arming swords in combat. They've done well against the infernals, however perhaps too well; with the war brewing between the races, the inquisition's veteran companies and forces are slowly being recalled - Bacht's included. They are to abandon their fight against the collective threat, and instead fight a war of conquest and coin.

Weaknesses: A preceding reputation from his freelancing days. If he was part of his creed at the time, perhaps he could have been spared some criticism and have it deflected to them. However, there is no mistaking it without them: Bacht was responsible. Not all infernals are evil, but all are dangerous. Not everyone can understand that, and not everyone can understand the necessary sacrifice. Bacht did, however, and the actions which have come from those decisions have made him hated in many public eyes. There are many enemies that would like to see him dead, and very few friends to call on for support.

Unsurprisingly, this inquisitor is a stubborn man. While he enjoys discussion, foreign cultures and differing ideals are very difficult for him to respect. It's not uncommon for him to disrespect either of these, often without even realizing it.

Strengths: A deep understanding of the infernals, whether they be vampires, demons, or the disturbing unseen. Fighting against the corrupt is something he feels he's trained to do for most of his life, knowing his way around their nature, strengths, and weaknesses. The professor has much to bring to the table.

Years of battle experience have lended him perks in two areas: Command, and personal combat. He's a talented fighter, with proof in ability and scars to show he's seen his fair share of fights. As an officer, he knows well how to command and motivate his men. They've fought with him for a long time, and though they know his reputation well, there is still some amount of trust that he will see them through to the next day.

Name:
???

Appearance:
wraith_by_chaosfissure-d9wnnul.jpg

Not much can be said about this creature's looks as it is an Unseen, and therefore like any other of its kind, looks to be a mass of dark smog with glowing red eyes. The only difference is that it is somewhat taller than most, standing at a height of 6'5". Nothing else really stands out appearance wise.

Age:
???

Race:
Unseen

Military Standing:
Not Involved

Celestial or Infernal?:
Infernal

Personality:
Knowledge is what this Unseen values, and to it the world is nothing but a mass composition of information. Ever so curious, this Unseen seeks to explore both the world within and without, loving to spend time either dwelling on its inner thoughts or observing the curious happenings of the world around it. With so much focused on thinking, the thing it hates more than ever is unwanted disruptions, and should the disruption persist, it would be dealt with, often violently.

When interacting with other, however rare the occasions is, this Unseen is often soft spoken and polite, an action that was more instinctual than anything else, but it also expects to be treated with the same kind of polity when spoken back to, and does not take insults very kindly.

Backstory:
This Unseen no longer remembers much of its own past. From fragmented recollections, there was an impression that it was once a scholar or had been close to one, and was involved with magic of infernal nature. Perhaps this lack of memories is why it peruses knowledge so fervently, as to make up for the gap within its mind. Or perhaps this was just its scholarly nature, still lingering from previously life. Regardless, that life was long gone and this Unseen now spends its days wondering the land, stopping only to observe what it had found curious and move on when the interest wanes.

Rarely, does it approaches town or villages, for it knew well of the reputation the Unseen hold as malevolent and violent beings, not that this one isn't, for this Unseen too can be very malevolent and violent should it ever be deter from its pursuit of knowledge and understanding. However, from time to time, it does find itself creeping into one, often during night times, either for the sake of gathering information or perhaps the acquisition of certain reading materials, and it was on one of this occasion that it saw the most curious of sights. It was on the billboard, an advertisement for a troupe of performers, Starlight, they called themselves, and it was clear that the main attraction of it was their diversity of races, both Celestial and Infernal. Needless to say, it was curious, curious indeed, and now it must know more.

Weaknesses:
Being an Unseen, the difficulties of making friends are endless, and due to its vague and terrifyingly mysterious form, this Unseen incurs both fear and hatred from most that it interacts with, potentially causing more trouble down the line.

The concept of proportional retribution is unheard of to this one, all offence shall end with death with varying degrees of painful, combine with case above for maximum disaster.

Whenever this Unseen is focused on a particular subject it is interested in, it concerns itself with nothing else and becomes oblivious to its surroundings, making it extreme easy for it to be caught off guard.

Strengths:
Being warped by infernal energies, this Unseen had found itself with great healing abilities, being able to mend wounds that woulds usually take days to heal, making it difficult to kill from anything other than an immediately fatal wound.

Other than its healing, it is also highly observant, as it should be, for observation and study are what this Unseen does with most of its time, and as with any proper observer, the Unseen too, has great patience, and understands that sometimes one has to wait in order for good things to come.

Name: Korag
Age: 35
Race: Orc
Military Standing: Man At Arms
Celestial or Infernal?:Celestial
Personality: Korag is quite temperamental and easily gets annoyed, he fights with adrenaline not putting much thought into battle tactics. Though this does not mean he is unintelligent, infarct quite the opposite, he is quite a clever individual and has a detailed understanding of how the world works. he places honour above all else and whilst it is hard to gain his trust, he will defend his friends to his last breath.
Backstory: Korag was born in a small orc village, to a Father who was dead by the time he was born and a mother who had died in labour and so like hundreds of other children he was trained until he turned eighteen, he somehow survived the war alive despite taking part in some of the largest conflicts in the war, infarct some called him Korag the undying however this is a title used only by other war veterans and he prefers simply Korag
During the great split, he remained fairly neutral however after the riots started to break out he understood that remaining neutral was not an option and so, he fled with his Orc brothers and sisters, and now fights again.
Weaknesses: lacks tactical thinking, slow to act
Strengths: Incredibly strong, quite intelligent

Oggie stands 3ft 2in and weighs only 30lbs. His eyes are milkey white and he has only a few strands of hair left. He only has a single tooth which is visible when he smiles. He often wears what others would consider rags and is always accompanied by Jocko his crow familiar.
Name: Oggie Tuk-tuk
Age: 39 (this is surprisingly old for a goblin most die off before their twenties.)
Race:Goblin
Military Standing: Not involved...
Celestial or Infernal?: Infernal
Personality: Oggie is very inquisitive but has a short attention span. He is supposed to be a creature of darkness and evil but he often forgets this and winds up helping heroes. Especially if they bribe him or can outsmart him, a feat easily accomplished. He is also quite a coward usually running away from a situation if the odds don't look to be in his favor. Like most goblins he isn't very intelligent, has an obsession with shiney objects ,he also holds great value in secrets.
Backstory: Oggie was born to the vast Tuk-tuk clan. He was a hero among the clan one who had survived forty battles, making him one of the longest lived goblins. As with any goblin who reaches the age of 25 he began to learn of Tuk-Tuk Shaman arts. However when Oggie was at the ripe old age of 32, a dragon descended upon the tuk-tuk clan. He fled with two younglings Grek and Panko, then forgot his way home three days into their journey.
Oggie, Grek, and Panko journeyed far together. Greks journey ended two years after they left the tuk-tuk clan when he tracked what he thought was a Cow into a canyon. He found the cow to be a family of minotaurs who weren't too happy with the goblins little spear being thrown at them. Poor Grek was buried one year before he reached adulthood. Panko lost his life when he and Oggie Were climbing the high mountains, Panko misstepped and fell down a craggy gorge. After he buried the last of his companions Oggie continued to wander in search of the Tuk-tuk clan, he wanders still to this day.
Weaknesses:
Puny goblin: Oggie is small and not particularly strong or fast. Not to mention he is Stupid by any standards.
Cowardice: Oggie is easy to bend to ones will, a bit of pain, some harsh words, even an intimidating gaze is enough to take the fight out of him.
Strengths:
Goblin Magic: goblins are known for having a unique magic. There are no powerful spells, Only small scale weak spells. They are costless however. So while a goblin cant shoot a bolt of lightning stronger than a painful jolt, it can throw them all day no problem.
Small Things: goblins are great at hiding and squeezing into tiny places. This makes them great spies and informants. Assuming they can remember what they are doing at the time.
Extra:
Oggie is a pretty useful little guy, but he doesn't do well without direction. Don't count on him to save you in a fight, but if you need something simple or can trick him, he will be a useful asset.
