Jessica Soto ~ Shinoa Hasegawa ~ Wendy Ishikawa

As soon as they were suspended from the railing thanks to Shinoa. After Logan had pulled her and Jessica up, the first thing Shinoa did was hug Jessica tightly while trying to fight back tears, especially since she knew what the girl was going through and how she felt. Like she had done back in the Military, she saved a life today and that was more then enough to make her happy. If this was what being part of the Strategic Response Unit was about, it looks like she was gonna be around for a little while. The amount of time it took though, made Shinoa want to poke fun at Logan, especially since she was a fairly light person. After the brief hug, they began making their way slowly to the ground floor and out to the front entrance of the mall where EMS was waiting. Shinoa placed them in her hands before going to talk with an Inspector about what happened.

Not a single shot was fired on the call. That was the goal. So Wendy was satisfied. For her first day, Shinoa impressed her greatly. As Officers came in to escort the girls out, she saw Ashley scolding them in a harsh manner as they were being taken away. If anything, they were all going away for a long time. They may not have been nailed in the past, but there was a lot of evidence now. While walking back to her Colleagues, she stopped by to check in on Jessica. "Why did you do all that for me?"

Shinoa, at first, didn't know how to answer, but then looked at her with a smile. "Because I'm a fighter, like you are. I'm gonna keep my promise to you. I'm gonna find help for your Mom and make sure no one hurts you again." She then handed Jessica a piece of paper which contained her personal phone number. "If you need a place to stay while your Mom's in rehab...Give me a call." She said before departing to rejoin her Colleagues, where Wendy gave her a pat on the back. "Good job rookie."

Logan/Ashley Walker

Logan followed behind Shinoa and Jessica, grinning slightly, though quickly going back to a normal face soon after. He went to the ground floor and walked over to Wendy and the others. "Damn right." He added as he approached, patting Shinoa on the back as he walked to one of the SUV's. He leaned against it, then waited for Ashley to glance his way for her to silently tell her to come her. She mildly shook her head and walked his way, letting herself fall onto the SUV, with a slight thud as she landed on it. "What?" She asked, looking at her brother. "You gonna tell me now?" He asked, glancing at her. "Fiiine... In the truck." She yielded walking to the passenger side as he hopped in the driver. They both turned off thier communicators, then Logan motioned for her to start explaining herself.

"Well... You know how I broke with Ryan?" "The mechanic?" "That's the one. So that is part of the reason I am late more often now... The other part..." She broke off for a bit, looking down. "I can't sleep... I don't know why but I just can't... Some nights i'm fine and others I stare at the ceiling all night..." Logan looked at her and nodded slightly, putting an arm around her to try and comfort her. "Don't worry... I'll help you figure things out. You were always there for me when we were younger, now it's my turn to return the favor." Ashley looked at him, tears forming at the corner of her eye, threatening to trace down he face. "Thank you." She said, almost a whisper as she hugged him. As if realizing what she did, she withdrew and wiped her eyes quickly. "L-let's go..."

Wendy & Shinoa ~ Jessica

After everything at the Mall was done with, Team Five headed back to the Station. There, Sergeant Ishikawa was in the Briefing Room, finishing up a report on the incident that they had responded to overnight. Luckily for her, the team had their day off tomorrow and it would be Team Two and Team Four's Shift tomorrow. This night, Team Five was taking on the Night Shift while Team Two had taken the day shift. After tomorrow, the Team had a Day Shift, which she didn't mind. SRU's involvement wasn't all too much since Crime has gone down since Team One's big Bomb Rush that resulted in Sergeant Parker retiring. Not to mention Constable Sabine was killed. Because they had worked together in the past, Ishikawa was still troubled by her death. As soon as she was done with her report, it was time for her to go. Shinoa waited for her, since she didn't know what else to do. With the Shift over, Wendy was just about ready to go home. The team would happily exit the station together.

While Wendy went home, Shinoa went over to the Rehabilitation Center, where Jessica was finished talking to her Mom, who was in the process of getting help. With no other relatives to turn to, Shinoa took custody of the teen, where she could have a safe place to stay. Since their age gap wasn't lengthy enough, Shinoa couldn't exactly adopt her, but was going to be her Legal Guardian since Jessica's Mother lost the Parental Rights due to the Alcoholism. If anything, it meant that Jessica would be stay with Shinoa until she was eighteen. But perhaps she could be a Role Model for the younger woman. Either way, the two women went home on a peaceful drive, first to Jessica's so that she could pack her Clothes. Perhaps later in the week, she could fully move in with Shinoa while putting her Mom's stuff into Storage, while disposing of all the Alcohol.

Logan Walker

Logan sat crouched in front of the gravestone of one Cst. Donna Sabine. He was wearing a black 3/4 sleeve, jeans, his gloves, some sunglasses, and a scarf that billowed in the wind. He was crouched in silence, looking down for a few minutes before rising. "Your sacrifice wasn't in vain." He said quietly as he set an SRU badge down by the grace before turning and walking back to his car. He sat in there for a few minutes before driving to the station out of boredom.

Ashley Walker

Ashley parked outside of the courthouse, a fairly large building that seemed more grandoise and fancy than functional. She stepped in, and when security cleared her she went to see an old friend of hers, Prosecutor James Reeves, one of the best thier is in the buisness. She stopped outside of his office and knocked a few times, waiting to be let in. She wore a simple black coat with the collar turned up, black pants, and boots.

July 18th, 2014 1200 Hours

Wendy Ishikawa

That afternoon, Wendy found herself rather bored. Since the incident at the mall, things have been rather peaceful. Luckily the rookie was adjusting to the SRU and her transition from the Air Force was going smoothly. Everything was routine and Wendy had decided to take it easy since work wasn't all that busy. Wendy was just suiting up into her Uniform, where she was thinking about her time with Donna Sabine, whom she worked with while in the Narcotics Division. Finally, she entered the briefing room awaiting the arrival of the rest of the team, save Ashley who had the day off.

Shinoa Hasegawa

Shinoa wasn't expecting much to be done today. However, not only she was adjusting to being a Law Enforcement Officer, but being a Legal Guardian to Jessica, whose life has gotten much better since moving in with her. If Shinoa ever worked a Morning Shift, she would drive Jessica to school after making the pair breakfast. At least now she had more of an excuse to use her second bedroom, which was originally going to be used as an Office, but the Master Bedroom should have been big enough. Due to the nature of her job, there were often days that she couldn't take Jessica home, so transportation arrangements were a pain, but the teen was very patient with her new guardian. At least she took her education seriously. On weekends, if Shinoa got off early enough, she would take the girl to see her Mother, who was recovering in Rehab, though the process was going to be lengthy

Finally, after thinking about life for a while, Shinoa suited up and got ready for the rest of the day. With a cup of coffee in her hand, she headed to the briefing room and sat down, where they waited for Logan and Matt.
