A bloody romance

One thing about being a vampire since the industrial revolution was one picked out vampires very easily. She was beginning to suspect that the man in front of her -or was it boy, they'd been alive for decades- was either a vampire or knew of them. She sighed a bit and swirled her coffee, "which school do you go to?"

'School' he thought to himself in his mind and then quickly replied to the girl before him "i don't go to school" it was the truth, he had plenty of time to go to school and going all over again would be bothersome plus if he did keep going to school over and over again it would clearly become suspicious if he had many achieved grades and other qualifications thought out the years.

"Oh... you're a rebel then." She smiled nad stood up, "Well, I gotta get going. I'm not really in the mood to hang around anymore. I'll see you soon, hopefully." She chuckled and shivered a little bit, not sure how to leave now.

This was the first time in forever anyones called him a rebel, it was just unfitting in every sense. He watched the girl as she said she was going to leave. He eyed the teenage group before asking "Would you like me to walk you home?" Better safe then sorry and that group really didn't seem like the best bunch if their here for her.

She giggled a bit, "of course, my shining Prince." She couldn't help but tease. As they made their way outside, she pulled her cost back over her shoulders again.

Well that was slightly embarrassing and inaccurate, he surely wasn't a prince and definitely not a shining one. He let out a deep breath when they finally came outside. The air was still frosty and it didn't seem like the cold would go away soon. Even a vampire could get bored of the cold especially cold nights like these. Although it was quite nice before now the cold quite irritated him and a part of him hoped for some better weather.

She smiled and her more happy nature began to come out. With her new caffeine boost, she had a little skip in her step and was tapping her pant leg to a best in her head. She yawned and looked at him, "you sure you don't go to school?" She asked, brushing her hair out or her face.

'What had happened to her?' He thought to himself as the girl he had been in the cafe with was now having a skip to her walk and a far more bubbly personality side of things. "I'm sure" he replied certain of himself after all who else would know that but him? Why was she asking him anyway. He turned his head to look behind his shoulder only to see the group was making their way out the cafe as well. "Well great" he said under his breath partly irritated but mostly waiting to beat some guys up.

The girl was already happy again. When tried, her friend joked that she became an entirely different person. Luckily, caffeine still worked with her vampiric form, so she got the boost she needed. She tried to ignore the group and popped in an earbud, but walked so the side with it inside was away from him.

This girl was so strange, did she even need anyone to walk her home? Probably not but the offer has been taken. Tate walked closely behind the girl and his eyes were constantly looking back at the group who was following their steps. 'This is going to be fun' he thought to himself as he thought about the ways he could hurt them if they even tried to do anything out of line. Stalking is out of line as well so the more they follow the closer they will be to their graves.

As she made her way back, she wasn't sure what the group was going to do. Finally, they cuaght up to them, all of them looking ready for... whatever they were going to do. She turned around and she smiled, "hello!" Despite her fear and anger, she tried to remain plesant, just to try and help herself not look like an easy target for them.

"What are you an idiot" Tate muttered under his breath, "don't speak to them don't seem friendly just go and you know don't let them catch up" Tate muttered again under his breath. 'Human logic is becoming more and more nonexistant' he thought to himself as he eyed the group before him. 'But what was that girl thinking for saying hello and smiling at them like that, thats going to clearly bring their attention'

Giving a little smile again, she lead the group into a small alley. She turned to Tate and whispered, "stay here." The group passed him, following her into the alley. As he watched, the sound or fighting broke out. One guy went running with a bleeding face, and the other two were in much worse condition. When Tate looked again, she was pushing the lead guy against the wall. Once he left with his friends, she looked at Tate, "there. They'll leave me alone for a few weeks."

'Well that was strange' Tate thought to himself as he thought over 'i was kind of looking forward to beating these guys up looks like she beat me to it' although he did wonder how one human could go against a group, that wasn't natural at all and defiantly would not go down with ease if this was a human. Maybe the girl wasn't human? She sure seemed quite odd in quite a few ways.

Why did she mood swing? Well, part of being turned at such a problematic age was she was, to be literally honest, stuck in the cycle of puberty. She was a naturally bright person, but when tired or pushed her mood went south. She really was a good person, just was very sporadic. Some would call her bipolar, but it wasn't at that point.

She walked back and smiled, "I can take care of myself, I just wanted to try and make a new friend."
