With the architecture thing, it could be the Japanese Meiji era pseudo-european style. So not all the way Victorian, but Victorian influenced

I would rather Rainbow Island is Japanese/East Asian. The other islands nearby would be East Asian and Southeast Asian architecture.
But maybe check out giyofu architecture for the Belmonts. I think it may be a decent compromise.
