hello hello, welcome to my lil' 1x1 search thread, and if this seems familiar, this is a repost. with the beginning of a new year and a hankering for more creative writing. i thought it'd be a good time to look for new writing partners again!

just a lil bit about myself: my name's venus, i'm a 24 yr old artist and writer still figuring out their life. i'm a big movie nerd, i love indie and rock music, and i think about my ocs 24/7. disclaimer: please be patient with me! i have a monday thru friday job and am enrolled in college, and so real life can keep me busy sometimes and slow down my reply rate.

currently looking for what i lovingly call lazy lit — quality over quantity, creative and fun, happy to match my partner's pace, instead of trying to reach wildly high word counts or pump out novella length replies of filler paragraphs. i tend to write from 3-8 paragraph replies depending on our pace, but its not a set number, and i'm always happy to be flexible.

i will be v honest, i can be a slow writer! so please bear with me lol! i can reply quickly and casually when we're ooc chatting and plotting out ideas, but writing actual roleplay replies can take time for me. on average, i can get one to three posts up per week (sometimes more, sometimes less, but i'll always communicate this with you.) irl life is usually busy for me, unfortunately. so yeah, if you haven't been scared off yet, please feel free to read the next tabs to see my rules, interests, and plot ideas!

before we get into the meat and bones of what i'm looking to write, here's the lay of the land.

01. — first and foremost, please be 18 or older. i'm an adult who would like to write with adults, nothing personal to the talented youngins here, but it's for my own personal comfort and because i like exploring more mature themes through rp.

02. — all, or almost all, of my characters are people of color and fall under the lgbt+ spectrum, so any type of bigotry is unacceptable (& i hate that i even have to clarify this.) homophobia, transphobia, racism, prejudice, etc will not be tolerated here. miss me with that shit.

03. — as you can see, i'm very casual ooc, but my writing is in 3rd person, and my replies vary from 300+ to 1500+ words, which means no one liners please! irl face claims or written descriptions only please (any artistic fcs i'll ever use would be my own art). i also love reading other ppls writing samples, and i am happy to provide writing samples as well.

04. — be able to chat ooc with me! i really love being able to casually endlessly discuss plotting, world building, and especially our characters with each other. i love being able to make moodboards, playlists, pinterest boards, etc for our characters. i don't like us interacting when its strictly about rping, i honestly want us to be friends! if i feel like we're not compatible, or can't have a conversation, i most likely won't be interested. i also tend to prefer chatting over discord (and rp over rpn preferably), feel free to ask me about that!

now for the main course: plot ideas! here's a couple of snippets, some old, some new, and all easily flexible for any ideas you'd like to bring in as well. i'm always all ears, and would love to hear any plots that potential writing partners have in mind as well.
not all of these specify muses/roles, but anything with a * would be the muse i'd like to write.

lsd and the search for god — college-aged murder coverup, bacchanalias and acid trips, and the consequences. | four years have passed since a mountain hiking trip went horribly, terribly wrong. a celebration of their high school graduation teetered into something worse, something unthinkable. with no recollection of the event and a dead body between them, our muses scarcely avoided jail time and pushed forward in their lives to forget and to move on. but the past never stays dead; what are they willing to do to save each other when envelopes of evidence arrive at their front door?

dogtooth — supernatural, werewolves, cross country adventures. | with a gutter for a cradle and a fresh bite wound, muse a* is on the hunt for answers. after running from home and meeting the wrong stranger at the wrong bar, they're left with a new condition and a stolen car to travel with. now, they're embarking on a cross country search, tracking the scent of whoever (or whatever) bit them and picking up a hitchhiker on the way. with the addition of muse b, a search for answers descends into nights of chaos.

human behavior — fbi investigations, grisly murders, mindhunter & criminal minds inspo. | when you stare into the abyss too long, it takes a part of you with it. working in the behavioral analysis unit of the fbi is grueling work, studying and investigating the minds of serial killers to anticipate and prevent their crimes from happening again, but it compels individuals like an aphotic zone, the morbid fascination of it all. a rookie agent and a long time member are partnered up to help investigate these crimes, and discover the possibility of something truly chilling as pieces of body parts begin to line the trails of the appalachian mountains.

kerosene dreams — dreamsharing, inception inspo, a game of cat and mouse. | thanks to illegally obtained military equipment, dreamsharing has become the money making business. dangerous, but intriguing, high risk and high reward for those who wish to embark into the cerebral. dipping into another person's head is no small feat, and the latest to delve into the business stole the wrong secret from the wrong person. a game of cat and mouse ensues, a question of whether they are awake or truly asleep, and what a secret can cost.
