    As much as I like long campaigns, I'm becoming increasingly fond of micro-systems. There's nothing like a one-shot horror game to get my blood pumping.

    Wow! They want to give me how much money?! It's amazing how much not being consider a dependent increases student aid. I never thought I'd be so excited about being 24.

    There's a 5 week language immersion course in Germany. It's 4 days a week, and I intend to use the other 3 days to travel Europe. My plan is to do this during the summer of 2018.

    Oh wow, that sounds like an amazing opportunity.
    Germany is beautiful; the west is particularly interesting to visit as there were quite a few cities untouched by WWII. The mainland European rail system is pretty great, so travel should be easy enough, though certain cities tend towards the expensive side as they mostly get by on tourism.

    I'm extremely excited about it. The program will have us staying in Kiel, and while they do have expeditions planned for us-- they're not bringing us much farther than Berlin. I'll make time myself to see some of the western cities. That's good to know about the rail system. Hell, I've heard flights are extremely cheap there as well.

    Paramedics are at my workplace because someone walked into a glass door. It was something out of a Windex commercial. This makes the 3rd person to be seriously injured by that happening.

    How familiar are you with Discworld? And the character AltogetherAndrews? He's a beggar in the Canting Crew, and is known for his multiple personalities.

    I'm not extremely familiar with it, though I have heard great things. Dice games don't often have systems to incorporate role-playing insanity so it's a bit of a gem. Even CoC generally ends after the investigators become mad.

    FATE core system mostly memorized. Maybe I'll get a chance to test run it this weekend

    Do you guys ever do super short games?
    My group occasionally plays a five hour-ish long once-off game to see if we like a new setting or system.

    Yeah. I did that when I originally started playing All Flesh Must be Eaten. Considering how long character creation usually takes, I prefer pre-gens for my players if I'm only playing 1-2 sessions. However, mostly we try for long term campaigns. That doesn't seem like something I would want to do with Fate.

We try for long term campaigns but It could be useful considering how ill received the Renaissance system was last time I tried to host that.
