Would anyone want to do a RP based on those old Dragonology books?

Alright, I'm officially pissed off with the world. It can burn for all I care. Time to RP so I can temporarily leave it all behind.

Rewatching parts of Harry Potter 8. Wouldn't have made more sense to just snipe Voldemort or the snake with a rifle when they walked across the bridge? Magic is great and all, but a 50bmg travels at nearly Mach 3 speeds. They could have easily set up a position at a distance of 100 yards with cloaking magic. This would only give V about .3 seconds to react to the shot. Heck, sound travels slower than the bullet, so by the time he'd heard it, there would only be a tenth of a second to attack.


This is just my little rant. I haven't read any of the books, and would honestly be interested to know if there are any spells to counter modern tech.
