Hello! I'm uhh not exactly new but I figured I'd post here regardless, seeing as I want to start being more active on here and stuff. :)

Anyway, howdy there! The name's Everett, I go by He/Him pronouns, and I'm 18. I have been roleplaying for approximately 6 years at this point, spanning across various sites/apps, and I've developed quite the love for roleplaying, as it helps me develop my characters and stories, as well as create memorable moments and friendships with other people. :)

Other than that, I usually prefer to spend my time either drawing (I currently am working on a webcomic so it demands a lot of my time lol), watching horror game playthroughs, playing video games myself, or watching movies! I enjoy the surreal and unknown, and am planning on studying to become an astronomer because. well. space is really cool and I'm super drawn to the cosmic horror of it all lol-
That's about it. I hope I can be more active on here, and engage in all the cool activities this site has to offer!

hoh boy i have no idea what i am doing

hie!! i'm jojo, i'm 17 and have never posted in a forum like this before lol.

most of my role play experience is from facebook, discord and twitter. i started roleplaying around 7-8ish years ago on fnaf facebook groups lol.

i'm not really in any set fandoms or anything like that anymore, which stems from my time on fandomless rp twt. i have a bunch of ocs and would love to create a universe or some matching ocs with someone!!!! umm yea that's it lol.

Hello! I go by Swift, I am 23 years old from the USA, and I have been RPing since I was about 12 years old. I had a fallout with my previous partner, the one who got me into RPing, and I have taken a few-year hiatus. But recently I've had the RP itch return, and have been looking around for places to find a new partner :) I tried reddit, but never really clicked with anyone there. I eventually heard of RPNation through a comment on TikTok and decided I would check it out!
I am no stranger to forum roleplay, as the website that first introduced me to the concept was none other than NaNoWriMo (specifically the young writers' program version). I never really found a passion for writing outside of roleplay, unfortunately lol. I will say I do not have as much experience with detailed writing in RP; my old partner and I used to write in a rather simple chat-based system. I'll give and example.

Character 1: Hello, Character 2! How are you today? [smiles kindly and waits patiently for their reply]

Character 2: It's wonderful to see you again, Character 1! [smiles kindly back and reaches out for a friendly handshake]

So speech is typed as a text-convo would be typed, actions are indicated by being typed within the brackets. I am most familiar with this style but I am always looking to grow my abilities, so a more traditional style of roleplay would be perfectly fine as well :) Just know that I am not as exprienced with it, so my words may not flow as eliquently as they probably could.

Settings and genres that interest me would be fantasy, sci-fi, suspense, mystery... I prefer darker and grittier themes; I tend to get bored when things are too lighthearted. Slice of life mixed with sci-fi and horror is what I have done the most of. I also loooove romance, but only when it's slow-burn and feels natural. Enemies to lovers is a favorite of mine. I also love the whole 'main cast with a villain' type of setup when it comes to characters. I feel an antagonist is very important to keep things interesting.

Interests outside of roleplay would be video games, books, youtube, movies, and art. I love any and all forms of fiction.

That's about it I think! I look forward to making some friends and some memories :)

I'm in a bunch fandoms - Homestuck, FNAF, DC, DNDADS, ect - and I like to talk about em a lot! I write, read, sew (though I'm not very good at it), and cosplay in my free time. Nice to meet everyone!

Hello, it’s so good to meet you all, and so nice to be back to roleplaying once more. I stopped for about a year because of illness and family issues. Things are still a bit hectic, but not as much.

I have been roleplaying/writing off and on since middle school, and I am in my thirties now. Roleplaying has been a huge hobby and joy for me. It helps make stresses seem a little bit smaller. Genres such as fantasy, supernatural, science fiction, and time travel are pretty big to me. If you have any ideas that don’t involve these, I’m fine with discussing. Other words, I’m pretty open minded. I don’t mind darker storylines, but it would be nice to discuss it first of course. Finally, I do really like romance in my stories, but of course no sexual content (per guidelines).

Outside of roleplaying, I like to read, draw, paint, and play video games. I am a full time caregiver to my mother, so I might get a little busy from time to time. With this, I decided to join RP Nation because I liked that it was in the top RP Sites. Hopefully I can meet some more like-minded individuals, with similar writing styles.

Hello to all who come across my thread! How are you? You can call me Viviana or Esmerelda. Viv or Esmer for short. I go by either! I am a 22-year-old female who lives in the EST of the United States, and I no longer have pets, unfortunately. I have been roleplaying for about 9 years. I like to write, improve my skills in writing, and put effort into all that I create. Outside of roleplaying, I love to cook, read, and drive around. Often, I am busy with real life.

My roleplay journey started in the summer of 2014, specifically July 2014, online via chat rooms (yeah, I know. horrid). Within a month I moved to Kik and RoleplayFourms.net and lingered for a long while because I did not know much of the roleplaying world. Despite the rep that Kik has, I can say, it has built me as a roleplayer in navigating the roleplaying realm and networking with amazing people, however much work that took. I switched to Discord for roleplaying in August of 2019 and I have loved it because of its ability for organization. I have a knack for making 1x1 roleplay servers. Since 2022, I have mainly roleplayed Discord with a couple of long-term roleplay partners.

I have come to RpNation because I want to come back to my roots in online roleplaying. I have a myriad of ideas that I love to focus on pertaining to stories and one day I would love to see it come to fruition. I love having romance and drama in the roleplays I do, especially with a mix of historical, fantasy, supernatural, or modern settings and genres.

I haven't RPed an entire plot and world in a long time. I prefer to do OC.
