i am source and i really enjoy reading fiction and writing stories, and thus roleplaying is one of my favorite ways to do so. ive been roleplaying for a while on various platforms and i've decided to try out a forum format, because i haven't tried it yet

i generally run with one to many paragraphs per response, and like everyone else here i love engaging in plot-thick roleplays in really cool settings like steampunk and fantasy, but i am more than excited to engage in any other genre. it's been a good few years since ive been in a roleplay that i've thoroughly enjoyed, so hopefully i can find what im looking for here

Good Afternoon, I'm Fraus.
I have been an avid rper for around 13 years and tend to default to semi-para to multi-para the most. I tend to stick with 3rd person limited and have been a player and the host of rps for years.
As far as genre's goes I tend to lean towards high fantasy, sword & sorcery, paranormal sorcery, etc.
I've joined in because my regular dnd group has fallen and I heard that you can play through dice mechanic online, so I'm interested to see if I could join in a new group.

However, with quarantine leaving me bored and cooped up om my house, I've decided to jump back into the ring. I've always been a pretty avid video game fan, some of my favorites being Sonic the Hedgehog (if my icon and username didn't make it obvious) and Devil May Cry, but I also really like cartoons such as My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer. Hi! So I'm going insane at home, and I don't want to think about actually doing my classwork. I used to do this when I was younger and had raging commitment issues, so now I'm older and have normal-sized commitment issues. Hopefully, this works out - or I could just make some friends? The extrovert in me is withering away TT

I haven't been able to find the passion for writing since I graduated high school... which is kinda a bummer? So here I am, trying to enjoy prose again. I'm more used to writing screenplays right now, so at least my dialogue will be snappy. Also, I really like D&D, but it's hard for me and my friends to meet up, so maybe I'll find a fun way to adapt from tabletop to forum.

Hi! My name is Ryan and I used to roleplay on a different site where the community has sort of died out. That being said, I left the community years ago anyways (and even then my writing was sub-par at best) so I'm sort of looking for a way to get back into it and get better, especially as a stuck-at-home college student with nothing to do. If anyone has suggestions for a beginner-friendly roleplay (especially because I admittedly have a very limited understanding of the site mechanics) I'd be grateful for information!

Heyo, it's me, the person you don't know. You can call me Ozwald I guess.
I'm not particularly new to roleplay, but I generally find myself to not be good at it. That's my opinion, however, and my opinion of myself is generally negative anyway. So don't take that too seriously.
I haven't made many roleplays, aside from the occasional 1x1 sort of thing, and more often than not I prefer to be in a bit of a bigger group.
I have made several characters and a world or two for them to reside in. I'd rather not explain that here, as it would be long-winded, but you could always ask in PMs, or whatever.
I suppose, however, as a way of mentioning my interests in rp, that it would be fitting to say I prefer fantasy stuff, a bit of sci-fi, and crossover/multiverse-type rps. I also like my characters to be either creepy in appearance, though I can only really describe them in words.
As for hobbies, the main one I have is generally gaming. In fact it's so much so that I will occasionally (and by occasionally I mean more than I ought to) reference games in ways such as a character using an item from a game (Stealth boys from fallout mostly) or otherwise just quoting something someone said. Generally I use the excuse that these characters canonically explore other multiverses as the way they can know these lines or obtain these items.
I decided to join this place because... uh... Well I don't really have a reason, I guess. Aside from boredom.
The main reason I roleplay, by the way, is because it helps me think of ideas for a story for my characters. I generally use the same four, with the occasional not-mine character. For some reason, I'm not good at writing on my own, so I see roleplay as a kind of way to write with others. Sort of.
Also, I talk way too much.

But you can tell that from this entire kerfuffle of a message anyway, so whatever. Speaking of which, I should shut up now. SO, uh
