Alaric Swift
Alaric watched as Argus pulled the cart of bronze along the roads of Rome. "I don't have any special abilities, at least none I'm aware of." he said casually. "And I will try to be discreet." And he genuinely meant it. Not all missions required a straight forward approach. Sometimes it was better to slit a few throats in the night than to charge into a neighborhood, guns blazing, looking for a fight. While he might not have fully grasped what Argus meant by discreet, he was definitely going to try to be. Now all they had to do was find the Romans.

Argus had mentioned a Coliseum as the most likely location for the roman camp. Unfortunately for Alaric, these words meant very little to him. Having grown up on the battlefield, his knowledge of things like world history, mathematics, and science were seriously lacking. He knew how to find water in the desert, chart his location using the stars, and where to cut a man so he would bleed out. But his "family" were not big on teaching their little war machines about the world and so he remained ignorant. "I'll be rearguard for this mission." he stated as he fell in behind Argus, clearly not wanting to get into why he couldn't lead them to the Coliseum. It was shameful to lack such basic knowledge of the enemy.

St. Boethius St. Boethius
Argus watched as Alaric fell behind him as a defender. While he wasn’t too sure what the rearguard was the word itself was fairly self explanatory. After a little bit of walking Argus found himself outside modern gates that kept the public from entering. It was sturdy and Argus wasn’t sure if there was really a way in. He was about to ask Alaric if he could break it down when the doors opened by themselves. Wary, but undeterred Argus lead Alaric into the Coliseum. Argus headed straight for the open fighting area, what he figured would be the neutral ground for the exchange. The godling, stopped in the center of the ring and waited a moment for thier Roman counterparts to make themselves known.

Both of her legs are hurting badly now. Katara’s teeth are bared in a snarl as Nika twists away. She has to accept that in this play fight, she’s lost her legs, so she falls to her knees to accommodate, glaring up at Nika. Damn it, that hurt.

She takes a moment to try and find a way to fight with both legs out of the picture, before she chuckles, and sets down her weapons, her aura of rage fading slowly. “Alright, I’m out of ideas.” She admits, getting up with a grin. “Good game.” She says, extending a hand to shake.

Nika heaved a sigh of relief, following Katara's example by setting down the bastard sword on the ground as her adrenaline calmed down and her arm began to hurt a lot worse than she thought it did. She got up anyways though, and took Katara's hand, giving it a firm shake in spite of the pain. "You did well. Honestly, I was seriously scared by that berserker thing you had going on, I thought I was going to have to fight you till the end. Actually, if it weren't for my abilities as a Nike chosen, I probably would have lost... I have a lot to improve on." The culturally ingrained modesty and flattery came out, though Nika truly believed everything she said. Katara was really intimidating, and that victory likely would have been hers if Nika didn't have her automatic mastery of weapons she had barely touched before or the previous scary fighting experiences she'd endured at school... In the first week... She had to take a moment and wonder if anyone was having just as tough a time as her.

Suddenly, Nika remembered something. "Ah, most importantly, you have fun?" The answer to the late question was pretty obvious, but it was a question she liked to ask everybody after doing something. It was a sort of ritual, maybe even a joke at this point. She knew the worn-out question always got grins and laughs and sighs of pain from her old friends.

Katara grins, nodding. “Oh, Hell yeah! How about you? Would you be up for doing this again?” She asks eagerly. She feels really good after that fight. All those good endorphins bouncing around, and the satisfaction of having learned something new. “I really need to work on my weapons, work, obviously.” She says, with another soft laugh.

She brushes her red hair back from where sweat has plastered some of it to her forehead. That was a good fight. Nika made her think about what she was doing, which is probably the only reason Katara didn’t actually go into a rage like she so often does in a prolonged fight.

Kera Aetos

"Zeus almighty..." Kera whispered to herself, clenching her arm as she sat in her dorm. If it wasn't for the luck of her partner, she wouldn't have stood a chance against that oversized demon mutt, the bad luck from the earthquakes the other students caused at least repaid her by dropping a large boulder atop the canine guardian's cranium; Without it however...
They had gotten the soil, and achieved their task, yet Kera still felt as if she had failed. The chosen of Zeus shouldn't have such difficulty, right? She needed to further hone her skills, her ability to control lightning was still absent, and she still lacked many of the powers the current god clearly possessed.

The rest of the day was spent training, unending. Sweat dripped from her brow, demolished targets surrounded her, the spear her father granted her tightly in her grip as she watched on for more to approach. Each one taken down, the brief intervals taken for respite, each time showing her exhaustion more and more. "I need... To get stronger..." She told herself through frantic breaths. "They won't follow someone so weak." Her mind reminded her as she pressed on.

Joseph watched the fight carefully. Katara more so, if she was to replace him she couldn't be bad at her job. Her inexperience with the weapons was possibly the cause of her defeat, as was her getting pissed off. Although, as his daughter, she should adapt to weapons quickly. Never the less, when the fight was over he gave them a clap. "Way to go kids. That wasn't complete crap." He smirked, "We might make gods out of you yet."

Katara can't help but grin at that. She doesn't want her father's opinion of her to mean so much, but it really does. She wants approval from him, to hear that he thinks she's doing well. She turns to face him, her dark eye's bright with how much fun she had with that fight. "Thanks! Hey, any tips for me? I just could not figure out how to get around her reach." She admits, hoping to get advice from the man she's supposed to take over for. The more she can learn from Joseph, the better.

Lucifer noticed as Kyle and the rest of the newly acquainted people around him left. Of course, Sameal wouldn’t leave him for long. Spying around him, Lucifer spied no one of interest to him. Grabbing Sameal by the hand gently, they went outside to the training area. Lucifer sat down on a nearby seat as he watched Sameal practice.
Walking over to the practice range, with his rifle he grabbed after they stopped at the cabin along the way. Preparing to shoot, Sameal lowered his heartbeat and began to shoot the furthest targets available.

"You could have thrown the knife, and kept the sai. Played defensively and tried to get control of her weapon. You also seemed to get mad. Emotion is a powerful tool, but if you let that anger boil up too much you get sloppy." He told her simply and straightforward.

Jasmine was shocked that she had made it out of that class at all. Getting A feather from those frikin monsters were a nightmare. They ended up going into some weird dimension and Hikari was there and Crystal was there... She barely remembered what happened in there. She thought about it and automatically turned pink. She was sure there was MINIMUM a huge make out session with Hikari... Did anything happen with Crystal? She gulped thinking about it and found Crystals eyes in the crowd. She looked away and started to walk towards Hikari. It doesn't matter anyways. We were under an illusion. It doesn't mean anything. She held Hikari's hand and started to drag him out of the class. "Come on, we're done, let's go explore." She smiled at him and started to move towards the Garden.

Zoe went to high five Gideon. "Can you believe we met Poseidon? And fought a huge Hydra? I feel pretty bad ass right now. Sorry that the submarine didn't make it though." She looked at Gideon with a smirk "Glad we had that backup seaweed that made us into merpeople for awhile. We made it JUST in time too." She had this big smile on her face as if she had succeeded in life. "That was fun. Thanks aga-"

"HONEY!" Zoe was cut off by a flying Harmonia hugging Gideon. "I missed you sooooo much. How did it go? Was it fun? Oh- of course it was. You two are a work of art." Harmonia shook her head and gave Gideon a quick peck kiss on his soft lips. "Zoe, love you and all but I want some of my boyfriends attention." She winked at Zoe and started to move Gideon. "Come oooon it's free time! Let's jump in the river or something!" She stopped and laughed out loud. "Wait, weren't you just in the water? Let's NOT do that I am sure you've had enough of water for awhile. What do YOU want to do? I'll join you in whatever." She smiled sheepishly really wanting to think about him.

Zoe looked at Harmonia and him and frowned. Where is MY girlfriend? She looked around and couldn't see her. She quickly left the area not caring to talk to anyone else and went to go find Sherri. She heard something near the river so she walked around to see her beautiful girlfriend. She went behind her and gave her a hug. "You survived. How did it go?" Zoe held in her breath hoping it went well.

Serenity gave Casey a hug. "WE DID IT!" She laughed out loud. "Can you believe we beat a whole frikin bull like monster created by Hephaestus and then we had to find this spoon that was actually IN the bull and-" Serenity shook her head. She felt like a kid that had found candy- not a golden spoon. She was normally not this hyper and outgoing but Casey seemed to bring out the best of her. She smiled at him. "Thank you, Casey. It was an honor getting to work with you. We make a great team. I hope we get to hang out again soon." She smiled at him as they finished walking down the mountain and gave in the golden spoon to Aphrodite. They watched as Aphrodite spun the cauldon and all its ingredients inside and created a potion to heal the hurt. Serenity got a little bit and drank some from the bleeding leg that she had. The bull got in one good move on her after all and she was starting to feel it. As soon as she drank some the wound was gone. She saw Alice and looked at Casey. Their aura was inseparatable but... Serenity was definitely noticing something was stirring inside for Casey. She shook herself mentally. OBVIOUSLY he's taken by destiny. Don't mess with Destiny Serenity. She smiled at Casey one last time. "I must head out. Tell Alice I say hi."

Quickly, she moved away from Casey not even giving him one last hug. When she got outside she levitated on top of the trees, practicing, and saw a tree that was bigger than the rest. The spirit tree- as said in folklore. The tree that is grandest than the rest holds the spirit of the forest. She glided to it and sat near its trunk. It was time for her to meditate...

"Yeah, I'm up for another round any time." Nika grinned, still with a rushing heart from that nerve-wracking experience. It had been a while since she did any sort of combat sport, and the few times she had fought in the academy so far were pretty short lived, not enough to get this same feeling going. She looked at Enyo, having a moment where she realized that she had never really thought about how to address the gods. Mr. Enyo? Sounds weird. I don't know his name though. Just saying Enyo sounds too informal, like calling someone without honorifics... "Thank you for the praise." She just avoided it for now. While Katara asked for tips, Nika looked around the field, instinctively telling that it would be bad for her to answer. She did agree with Enyo's advice, though. The thing she was scared of at the end there was Katara throwing her knife. Sure, it probably wouldn't have been lethal, but they were so close it would have been hard to miss. She did think that throwing it any earlier would have been too risky since a single non-bladed weapon is easily disarmed, but no doubt the god knew combat better than her. She watched as a little further away two boys were in the shooting range, one holding a gun.

Crystal watched as Jasmine left with Hikari, her hands thrust into her pockets. She didn't doubt it, in just a few days since she had these feelings start popping up, she was losing her chance to make them real. The only thing she held that came close to those feelings being fulfilled, was under an illusion. A single, innocent brush of the lips, that set her heart racing so fast it cracked.

Ah. So this is heartbreak.

She'd felt it ever since she saw Jasmine with Hikari, but this was doubtlessly the worst of it. She felt like a knife had been rammed straight through her chest, it was difficult to breathe, and it was something she didn't know what to do with. She didn't want to pull that painful knife out, because she'd lose. It was weird, understanding all the drama she had simply witnessed from the sidelines for the first time. She started ridiculing herself, though. You were stupid to ever let yourself think or feel that way. You're the Hades chosen that Hades didn't even choose. How could anyone look at you that way in only a few days. Hikari makes so much more sense compared to you. You probably won't even make it through the first year, you're so weak, and useless.

Crystal silently walked away, to the dorms, wondering if Lena would be in their room. She hoped she wasn't, yet she hoped she was.

Sherri was sitting at the edge of the river, enjoying the scene blessed to be lacking civilization. The trees surrounding her, the water slowly flowing in front of her to a destination it need not think of, it was all so relaxing. She was blissfully ignorant of the area around her warping and burning, popping and cracking as the world and reality bent in tune with her bottled up violent feelings. She wanted to rampage, but now that she had the power she shouldn't. Truly, it was an agonizing conundrum of the highest difficulty. Everything snapped back to normal when she felt a warmth from her chest where the necklace lay. A sheepish smile graced her lips as arms wrapped around her, and all the wrath flowing through her fizzled into nothing in that warm embrace. "Zoe, I managed it, somehow. Nobody died, and I only burned a small portion of Aphrodite's domain to cinders." Her voice was quiet. She knew it was insane, but she was proud of herself for not fully snapping and only doing that much. "It was really difficult, they wouldn't give me space, but I just took it out on all the illusions. It really set me off when there was a pathetic attempt at imitating you, when I knew you were off doing your best to do your quest..." She lifted her hands and softly grabbed the arms that were wrapped around her, scared to hurt them with the anger that she had just been overwhelmed with. "What about you? You succeeded, right?"

"Oh....an egg, let me see it I might be a le to save you a few days of research on it. Dont worry I wont eat it as long as i get some food soon" Crawling out from under the table and sitting on Kyle's lap she looked at Sam. "I've spent quite a while hunting and tracking...but it doesn't hurt to have a killer sense of smell and great hearing" Torri held a hand out to take the egg so she could more closely inspect it. Most eggs she could think of off the top of her head all relatively looked the same, it was the smell that really made the difference. "Kyle you really are comfortable, if you dont become a God you can be own personal chair" looking back and winking at him.

Marina sat at the table quietly watching the others interact. The blue eyes girl smiled as the nymph made her way over with a very large book. To which Marina quickly pulled the large book towards her and opened it, curiously skimming through it as the others talked. The brunette looked over to Torri as she claimed to able to point out to the group what the egg was, and save them hours and even days of research. To which Marina smiled, that would be a big help. She watched as the girl made her way over to Kyle's lap and to his discomfort sat there. Mari gently shook her head as she flips through the pages of the large book, resting her head on her right hand and she read. She skimmed the book while waiting for Torri to discover what type of egg they were delivering.

Marina willingly took the large book and began flipping through its pages, which Sam was totally fine with. Sam usually had to go on these missions alone. Torri proclaimed that she could tell what kind of egg it was based off of its smell. "Alright." Sam got out of her seat and walked around the table. She reached into her backpack to grab the egg, she then held it in front of Torri's face with a tight grip. After a few moments, Sam began to feel uncomfortable. "Well, have you got it?!" The tone of Sams voice could have been striking to those around her.

Lena, having just returned from feeding, cleaning, and exercising both Cinnamon and Domino. She also went exploring the nearby forest for a while. Now she had some down time just to kick off her boots, get comfortable, and watch anime. She looked up from her animated kids with superpowers doing hero school to see Crystal enter. "Hey Crystal. Been a while since we've been able to talk. What's going on with you?"

James had heard his name being called. He listened in as one of his chosen had talked about getting stronger. He was sitting at his desk typing on a laptop. He was going over his lesson plan. "My dearest Kera... You will get stronger... And you will be a better Zeus then myself one day." He said to himself. He stopped typing for a second before looking out the window. "Forge your friendships like I didn't." He said before chuckling and taking a swig of his godly whiskey and coke. He smiled as he stood up and walked over to the window and looked out the window.

He was remembering his time as a student at Godling Academy. He was so brash and bold and uncontrollably stupid. He laughed as he thought about the fight he had with the current Zeus. Hell he could have died then and there. Now, he was Zeus. He looked to the forest where there was still the broken trees from his rampage. It was a reminder of how stupid he was. He took another swig of his whiskey.

He closed his eyes for a second. "Artemis. When you have a moment, come to my office. I wish to speak to you." He spoke into her mind.
He walked back over to his seat and continued with his class.

Tera was at the gym after the class. She was almost useless with Ivan there. She couldn't really focus with him there. She kept on thinking about them at the library. She truly and honestly cared about Lena, but she wanted to stay friends. Why? Tera couldn't help but think about what was going on. She needed to get out of her own mind and working out helped her with that.

Tera pushed herself farther than she had pushed herself then she had ever gone before. Pushing up 300 lb's on the bench. She was going heavy to clear her mind it was absolute hell, but she smiled like a demon through the whole thing. She kept pushing herself until she couldn't feel her arms. "I don't quit... I don't quit... I don't fail." She thought to herself as she kept on lifting.

Katara nods. “Fair. I’ll try that next time.” She says, noting that for a later fight. “And yeah, the anger has always kind of been an issue.” She admits, still irritated about that. Part of the reason she wants to spar all the time is to manage the buildup of anger, and keep her from hurting someone outside of the arena.

She turns to smile at Nika. “Awesome! Want to set a day of the week where we meet up?” She suggests.

Crystal stared for a moment, stock still in the doorway as she looked at Lena. After a moment, she slowly walked in and closed the door behind her before collapsing on her bed. "Mfmmaf Gamffuh." She slammed her face into the bed a few times before realizing that she couldn't make any sense with her mouth full of fluffy bedsheets. She rolled over and stared at the ceiling with dead eyes, looking at the back of her right hand - the place where her tattoo was, filled in just a little more. "I'm experiencing what I think is heartbreak. You know, usual teenage drama. Doesn't matter, I'm just shocked that Jasmine found someone so quick. I thought relationships took longer to form... Anyways, how about you? How'd your group do in the class?"

Nika shrugged, thinking for a moment at Katara's question. "Classes seem pretty spontaneous, don't you think a 'whenever possible' policy would be better? I could give you my phone number and you can just text or call any time you want to spar. Of course I might be busy, but I don't really have anything to do right now so that should be pretty rare." It felt a little weird for the her that was always busy, but since most of her time was occupied either by friends or clubs and Godling Academy had neither she basically had nothing to do. It felt disconcerting to have so much free time for her workaholic self.

Katara nods, and goes for her bag, pulling out her phone. “Good point.” She says, opening up the screen to add a contact, and offering the phone to Nika. “You want to put your number in?” She asks, excited to meet up with her again. Maybe they can try different weapons each time! That would be fun.

Lena sat up, closed her laptop and looked over at Crystal sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that. And, yes, relationships do take longer to form. Real ones at least. There are dozens of things that go into every relationship. It's possible they might not really get along." She took a long pause. "Yeah, teenage drama sucks. However, I think it's because if we graduate we become gods. We have 4 years left on earth as humans, maybe everyone is jumping the gun because of that?"

Kyle sighed. "No, I think I'll pass on being a personal chair. Thanks though." he said. This girl might be Artemis's chosen, but he didn't give a shit, she needed to get out of his personal space before she ends up in a coma. He stood up and moved away from the group. His eyes glazing over as he tuned out everything, only paying attention to important details.

"How many of them were actually human to begin with? Are we even human right now?" Crystal said this with a burst of emotion that she had no idea where it came from. More words started spilling from her mouth, digging up feelings she didn't even know she had. "I wasn't born to any god, I had absolutely zero powers until school started. That was normal, that's human. But a lot of these guys, they've had powers from the moment they were born as demigods. That's not human. I don't think they have any attachment to the little bit of powerless human in them, either. Heck, I don't understand why losing your humanity would make you jump the gun in the first place; if anything, the immortality should make you feel like you have all the time in the world, yeah? It's probably just because they're spoiled, or they don't know how to function without support. They're all not sure what to do now that their all-powerful parent isn't going to be protecting them and spoiling them any more. To top that off, they're all bastards full to the brim of lust, greed, and pride, so they go around claiming each other as their own. I hope some class that'll punish them all for that comes and stomps some common sense into their skulls."

We fought a huge Hydra, had to become merpeople, which btw I made some cool new friends, met Poseidon, got our object, and came back while waiting for us to NOT be merpeople again and then slide back to our dorms to get dressed again to THEN turn in the object as if nothing happened. She gave Sherri a warm kiss that made her body tremble with urge and then Zoe got up quickly. "Come on, I'm tired of being around water. What do you want to do with our free time? Learn a new potion?
