"Did you hear that? what happened?" She went to the door and looked out into the hallway. "We should go and help...it sounded bad."
Hazel nearly collapsed when she felt the magical blasts. She looked at Leia, and took a deep breath in and let it out. "Ena almighty, I've never felt something like that. Have you? We better... Yeah, we better see if we can go help. We're done here, anyway."
She set her supplies back into the small cupboard and quickly made her way down the tower. She passed by other servants, and from listening to other servants gathered where the explosion had happened, and who it had happened to. She turned and grabbed Leia's wrist. "Come on!"
She pulled Leia through the crowd. No one else headed toward the fifth floor, where the explosion had happened. Hazel didn't know who the "black dove" was, but she knew some healing skills from her father. She could help out a bit.
"WE NEED HELP! WE NEED A MEDIC!"
The tower they had been cleaning was on the fifth floor, so they were able to reach the explosion site relatively quickly. Once there, she heard the shouts. She saw a nobleman, who looked like he was dead, on the floor. He began to glow, and Hazel stared at him. What in the world...?
Then the glowing energy blasted off of him, causing a second explosion. It blasted Hazel back, sending her into the wall. Her head snapped into the stone, and she was stunned. Her world spun, and she slumped forward. She felt the back of her head, feeling warm and wet at the base of her skull. Is that normal? That can't be normal. Is it...?

Alrimi sighed heavily as she pulled the heavy leather apron over her head and tossed it to hang on a hook next to the forge. It was already dark out - not uncommon for the season - however it still felt like she hadn't seen the sun in days. Starting work long before it rose and only closing up shop once it had set. Endless days spent toiling before the near inferno heat of the forge, hammering away at metal of all types to fulfill her clients orders. She had long ago given up detailing the service portion of the family business herself, hiring her youngest sibling, Sa'lari, to handle all orders. She was a natural, so far as Rimi was concerned, the clientele more than happy to deal with the bubbly kind girl over the surly woman in the back of the shoppe.

The majority of Rimi's work had been worn down to repairs: repairing pots and kettles for the wives around the small city, repairing wagon spokes and bridles for the farmers, repairing old and overly worn armor of the city guard; those that did not simply supply their own armor. Long gone were the days that she and her father worked side by side building masterful works of art in armor form. She often considered closing the smith and making an attempt at moving it elsewhere. Her siblings hardly needed her and Rylar's support any longer; most were married and living with them in the large family home, tending to the fields and flocks for their own income. Only Sa'Lari remained at home unwed and Rimi suspected it wouldn't be long before she found herself a husband to occupy her time.

She collected the last remaining coal from the large forge hearth - a time honored tradition that Rylar hated. It would be just as easy for me to make you a spell to start a fire tomorrow as it is doing this stupid ritual everyday. She never yielded to his suggestions. With the coal safely tucked into her tin canister she headed out of the smith and across the yard to the large farm house. For as long as Rimi could remember her father did this very thing. Never let the light go out, Rimi. This is the soul of our family. Inside the house she hastily kicked off her boots and tracked across the main entry to the hearth. Building up a small bed of straw and kindling she laid the coal to rest and watched it bloom into a small flame.

"You and Rylar got postage today." Sa'Lari called from the kitchen where the smell of the families roast dinner had been cooked. "I left it on the table with your dinner Rimi. Rye said he'd be home late, after the festival tonight."
***
IMG_2062.jpeg
Rylar pushed the heavy farmhouse door closed behind him, leaning against the thick oak frame with his eyes closed for a long moment. The night had been rough, plenty of people had arrived for the town festival from all around and while it was pleasant to see people he hadn't in months, it made his job all that much harder. Fights had to be broken up and drunken men back to their place of residence. Twice he had been nearly knocked out by a well placed swing of a farming tool and if it hadn't been for Rimi's ingenious design for his helm he doubted he'd still be standing. There were a few hours until daylight yet but he was surprised to hear Rimi humming to herself in the kitchen. With a frown he moved in to see his twin seated at the table, a tankard of mulled wine in one hand and a letter in the other.

***
"I want to go." Rimi said, setting down the tankard after Rylar finished reading the letter.

"Everything we could ever want or need is here, Al, why would we give it up for some letter from someone we don't even know?" Rye tossed the letter down onto the table top only to watch Rimi snatch it up like a prized possession.

"Then I'll just go without you."

"It's address to both of us."

"So come with me."

"..."

"What if this has to do with our past? Our history? Mother-"

"I don't care what Mother said. This is our home, Al. Our family is here, our lives are here. End of discussion."

***
It only took Alrimi two days to settle the families affairs. She canceled her customer orders, directing Sa'Lari to return the funds and items with an apology - her choice on what she told them. She knew Sal wouldn't have any trouble finding a new employer, she had only been working for Rimi out of boredom. She hired a house keeper to mind the house and the grounds while she was away, though didn't doubt that Rye would dismiss the woman the second she attempted to tidy his bedroom. Early morning on the third day, after issuing her goodbyes to her siblings, she saddled her horse, packed with supplies and headed across town to the road that would lead her to the Green Castle.

Upon arriving at the edge of the city she was surprised to see Rylar seated in the saddle of his own mount waiting for her. "I'm not changing my mind, Rye." She called to him as she came closer.

Rylar rolled his eyes and turned his mount to come along side Rimi's and walk with her. "You can't be trusted to go alone."

***

Their journey was along and uneventful, a feeling of dismay and relief, depending on which of the twins you had asked. They soon found themselves on the cobblestone street leading up the Green Castle. Rimi could barely contain her excitement while she was fully aware of Rylar's discontent. She found the courtyard quite empty, taking it upon themselves to stable their horses before collecting their gear. Invitation in hand Rimi lead Rye into the main foyer of the castle proper. "Hello?" She called into the emptiness. "Shouldn't there be someone down here?"

Rylar was caught off guard by the sudden approach of an older woman, her direct gaze almost unnerving. "We're Alrimi and Rylar Mashu - we received a letter...."

Hattie ran through the palace. She was just barely three years old, and so her mother, Indira, was close behind, watching her like a hawk. Besides her was the woman's friend, Daria. Both of the women had escaped the dragon mine together, and were grateful that Hattie would grow up here instead of where they had to grow up. The two woman chatted, following little Hattie through the palace walls. It was Hattie who heard the calls of the twins, and she glanced at her mother. Who was deep in conversation, and so Hattie headed on, running into the main foyer. She smiled big at the newcomers.

"Hi! I'm Hattie."

She put both arms in front of her, shaking her hands. It was the typical greeting in dragon cultures, and especially in the dragon mines. When she did, they could see that one of her hands had been cut off at the wrist. Her eyes glowed an electric blue, reptilian in nature.
Hearing Hattie introduce herself, her mother quickly noticed that Hattie was no longer in front of them. She and Daria ran to find her, but they didn't have to run long. Standing in front of her little girl were a woman and a man, too similar in looks not to be siblings. Whatever their intentions, they were too close to her little girl. She dashed forward, scooped Hattie up and Daria put her hands up in a spell. Both Daria and Indira had reptilian eyes, though Daria's were red and Indira's were blue, the same blue as her daughter's.

"Who are you? How did you get in here?" Daria demanded. "How did you know where this place is? Who sent you?"

Greo was leading a small band of dragon children through the palace, educating them (and watching them so their parents could rest) about the castle and its history. They were all fairly new to the Green Castle. A dragon thief named Soto got lucky; he managed to hijack a shipment of dragon families and kill the trappers who were transporting them. He then brought them here. Which Greo and Valerie were deeply pleased with. They had no children of their own, and so Greo was happy to raise everyone else's.
"Now, you want to know something quite amazing? The security magic on this castle is illusion based," Greo explained. "That means that the castle is hidden from people seeing it. If you looked at the castle from a distance, all you would see are trees! Now, if you know where the Green Castle is, or you were invited in, then the illusion magic doesn't affect your vision. See, there's a spell that's called Good Sight that acts in a similar way. When cast on a person, only those who wish to hurt that person can't see them. Everyone else, can. We just cast a larger version of that on the castle. Anyone who wants to harm anyone within the castle can't see it. Rather brilliant, don't you--"
Titulus focused and flew back a few feet to gain the necessary speed before hurling his small body into large wooden door of the building.Luckily the force of the impact knocked him out. Unlucky he turned back into a human, equipment and all mid air and crashed into the floor like a ton of bricks. Cracked ribs and currently a heap on the floor but hey... not a pigeon.
The crashing sounds against the wooden door made all the children jump, and a few even hid behind large plants in the corridor or behind Greo. He glanced at the children, making sure they were safe, before going to the wooden door. He pulled out a sword made from one of the claws he had shed. It was a deep green, Greo's same coloring when he was in his beast form.
He pulled open the door, ready to slice whatever enemy had intruded in their castle.
...and instead found Titulus.
"Titulus? My good man, what are you doing here? And in such disarray... Don't you know how to use a front door?" Greo bent down, looking at Titulus and his scattered equipment. "That's enough lessons for today, children. Go back to the courtyard, alright?"

((OOC: St. Boethius St. Boethius I made it so Titulus and Greo know each other, probably friends. They're both eccentric and I'm sure they get along splendidly. PM me if you have any questions.))

Titulus groaned as he heard the muffled sound of a door being opened. Then he heard something that surprised him, the sharp metallic sound of a sword being drawn. He knew he had made a ruckus but he certainly shouldn’t be stabbed for it! What did you think would happen? A warm welcome? A guy can hope right?

Instead of the cold sensation of steel Titulus felt a hand on his shoulder and he thought he heard a familiar voice. Was that Greo? Aren’t you lucky. Maybe next time you’ll think before you act. Titulus ignored the voice and with a groan of pain forced himself to get off the floor and sit up. To his elation the voice he had heard was Greo. “ Greo! Sorry about the racket. I was testing a new spell and found myself in quite a pickle.” Titulus strained for a moment before getting up. Looking around him Titulus was happy to see none of his equipment had been broken and while in pain he didn’t seem broken either. All in All this was a success! If you can call being trapped in the form of a pigeon and forced to knock yourself out to stop the spell a success then yes. Congratulations.

Titulus grimaced at the voice before turning to Greo, “ Never mind all that. How’ve you been Greo! How longs it been now? Few months? This is a nice place you got here. ” Titulus playfully slapped Greos shoulder. He had completely forgotten why he had come back to the Green Palace. Luckily the invitation had been thrown from his pack during his landing.

Rylar turned at the sound of tiny feet pattering their direction only to be greeted by a small, unique looking child greeting them. He grinned, raising his hands to wave back to the child as she had greeted them; he had never seen this sort of greeting before but opted for it regardless. "Hello! I"m Rye-" He paused, his smile fading and his eyes widening as two women rushed into the foyer. One gathered up the child as though he were a threat whistle the other demanded to know why and how he had come here. Feeling suddenly foolish for standing there with his hands out before him, he cleared his throat and dropped his hands to his side. "Ah, yes well-"

Alrimi had regarded the child with mild curiosity. She had odd eyes and a distinct deformity but otherwise was of little interest to her. It was no surprise that Rylar had reacted in kind to the girl - he had always been the type to be 'lovable' to everyone. She huffed, turning away from the pair as they acted out, intent on finding her way through the castle before she heard a rush and more voices arriving within the foyer. Anger boiled within her as the women demanded answers from them when in truth it should be her and her brother demanding the very same.

Rylar stammered a reply but Rimi stepped around him to match the woman's glare. "We were invited." She hissed, dragging the letter, still kept within the enveloped address to them, for her to see. "Who are you and why did you send for us?" She demanded back of the women, annoyed.

Leia went after Hazel and followed behind her. Though she had tripped and lost sight of the girl, it didn’t stop her from following he shouts that could be heard nearby. “Hazel! Wait!” The girl caughtup after the second blast and saw the other maid falling forward. Leia went to her and looked at those on the floor, wondering what happened and what in the world was happening. “Don’t move Hazel...you’re bleeding...I think ...” Her stomach flipped at the smell of blood but she held herself over her enough to take the little apron the maid’s uniform came with and try to stop the bleeding. Though Leia wasn’t sure exactly what the right thing was to do, and didn’t know any magic other than those spells she was given long before coming to the castle. Those were...the opposite of what was needed at the moment. “Hello? Is there anybody that can help??” She called out. Moving Hazel may not be a good idea...then there was the man on the floor...she felt like there was nothing she could do that would be useful other than calling for help and trying to bandage the wound in Hazel’s head with the flimsy apron.

“ Greo! Sorry about the racket. I was testing a new spell and found myself in quite a pickle. Never mind all that. How’ve you been Greo! How longs it been now? Few months? This is a nice place you got here. ”
Greo smiled. "A year at the least, my good friend. I'm glad you're here... Our darling Alais has come under some trouble. Valerie has not been able to rest well since it happened. She will be glad to lean on your knowledge, for we have a paticular problem that she can't seem to solve. Well? I know you, you'll want to jump straight to work. Come come come!"

Titulus chuckled, “ What’s Valerie been working on that’s got her stumped? “ Titulus racked his brain trying to think of it had been mentioned before. Come on, must they rely on us to fix every mishap? Well someone is in a bad mood. Yeah our head hurts in case you forgot. We probably have a concussion. I didn’t hit the door that hard. You were a pigeon! I’m just glad you didn’t break our neck!

Titulus winced and started cleaning his ear with a finger. The voices shouting caused his ears to ring, or maybe that was the concussion. Either way arguing with it never ended well. Despite being so prickly Titulus knew it had his best interests in mind. Maybe you’ll actually heed my words one day. Don’t get too involved, do the job and keep.moving.
“ I see you’ve got a new batch of kiddies. Seems the enchantment is working well enough. So what’s going on that you need our- my.., help?”

"Hello! I"m Rye... Ah, yes well--"
"We were invited." She hissed, dragging the letter, still kept within the enveloped address to them, for her to see. "Who are you and why did you send for us?"
Indira and Daria glanced at each other. They had heard of strangers being invited, but having been hunted all their lives they were wont to trust anyone.
A figure emerged from the darkness. The torches lit up around her, as if waiting for her arrival. She was dressed simply, but she carried herself like a queen. Her hair was arranged in a swirling pattern of braids, and she stared at these newcomers with an inquisitive eye. Both Indira and Daria left almost immediately, bowing to the woman as they left. The woman took another few steps forward, walking with a tall staff. The staff itself was as unusual as the woman. Tall, made of a white wood, with a cage carved smoothly into the top. When the woman walked forward with the staff, something inside the cage clinked, like glass or a jewel.
After a few moments of looking them both over, she gave them a little nod. The woman turned and gestured them forward with her free hand. "Come. I am Valerie, lady of this castle. You are both to be trusted."

“Don’t move Hazel...you’re bleeding...I think ... Hello? Is there anybody that can help??”

Hazel winced and sat up. "No, I'm fine, just... wowee that hurt. Are you okay? I mean, you must've felt that too... What even was that?"

Medics arrived, and attended to the injured ones. Three of them went straight to the fallen assassin. A strange sight, healers healing one whose job it was to kill. But they did their duty. Hours they worked on her, performing spells that required concentration and dedication. The other healers went to both Hazel and Leia, and one went to Sikander. The healers easily healed Hazel, and Sikander took a few minutes but he was soon well enough to be moved to the infirmary.

One of the medics, Lydia, helped Leia stand. "Are you well? How were you not hurt, love?"

“ What’s Valerie been working on that’s got her stumped? I see you’ve got a new batch of kiddies. Seems the enchantment is working well enough. So what’s going on that you need our- my.., help?”
Greo nodded. "Yes, they've just come in. Better situated then most. I believe these little darlings came from a small village in Orikaal. They were guarded there, but well, you know. The dragon trappers are getting more clever. We were able to rescue most of the children and their parents, but... not all."
He turned down a hallway, and turned away the dark feelings that arose in his chest. "In any case, they are here now. My wonderful Valerie has the problem of our dear Alais that is keeping her tossing and turning all night. Indeed, even I can not come up with a solution. And a solution must be found."
He made his way into Valerie's study, a room filled with bookshelves and at least four different tables. The study mirrored his wife's demeanor; it was clean, neat, and orderly. His own study was not half as clean, despite Valerie's continued efforts. No doubt Titulus would feel better in Greo's unkempt study. He always had liked disorganization.
"The problem is this," Greo pulled out one of Valerie's large blank pages and set it across a table. He grabbed a quill, and started to draw out a diagram of the problem. "Our dear Alais is pregnant, and as she is a dragonborn and her husband, our darling Eton, a dragon, her children will either be born of three options: dragon, human, or dragonborn. The first two of course would be of no problem and indeed be joyous, but the last option, well, that would be a problem. As you know, dragonborn souls are exceedingly rare. Once they are born, the babies must have their souls fused together by another dragonborn in order to survive infancy. And here we are at our problem; first, we must find a dragonborn who would be willing to perform the operation. And then we have to devise the spells necessary to save Alais' children, should the need arise. Well, my good friend, have you any ideas?"

“Hmmm..... “ Titulus mumbled as he thought on the subject. Dead babies... never good. Not to mention soul magic is a bit... complicated. “Well first thing I would recommend is confirm at the very least that the child isn’t a dragon. We can probably do that by casting a benign spell on the child in the womb.” Titulus began as he began he began thinking on the much bigger problem of the spells needed for fusing the soul of a dragon born.

Titulus was usually very... well distracted. It was only when he was focusing on spells that he had clarity. Thankfully the voice helps him think when it counts.

There aren’t any spells that I can think of that even target the soul directly. The ingredients alone needed for such a spell would be hard to find.

Let’s table the spell and focus on the other Dragonborn we need. Those are rare enough as it is. How would we find one in such a sort time?

We use the Dragonborn we do have to find the other. Create a spell that can identify a Dragonborn’s unique soul.

A smile spread across Titulus’ face as he came up with an idea. He looked to Greo and said, “ A scrying spell! With enough power behind it we can attune a scrying spell to search for a soul with a similar wavelength to Alais! With any luck they’ll know of the spell necessary to save the child! If that doesn’t work I’ll have to use the rarest ingredients I can find and craft a spell that targets a soul. From there manipulation of the soul should be possible.”

Titulus scratched his head as he explained, more like rambled his idea off to Greo.
You just made that up didn’t you?
To be fair I made up the polymorph spell and it turned out pretty good.
Oh God... you had to knock your out to escape it! You want to test a new spell on infants!?
Don’t really see that I have the luxury of a test subject.

"Valerie also considered this, however," Greo countered, "A scrying spell requires a soul print or at least a pattern to follow. A dragon soul to find dragons, a human soul to find humans, et cetera. Alais is the only dragonborn we know of, and the poor darling is in a Caligookish prison. My dear Natallia and her friends are working to rescue her as we speak, but we're running out of time."

Titulus muttered how he should have known that and weighed his options.
Still got a little pigeon on the brain? If you can’t remember the basics maybe I should drive.
Titulus looked up from his thoughts at seemingly nothing and gave that nothing looks that would kill
“ Looks like our best bet is a rescue mission then. Tell me where and I’ll head out immediately. I’ll just need a minute to tweak my newest spell and I should arrive there fighter than any horse.” Titulus said squatting down and pulling his supplies from his pack. He would need to remake the polymorph spell but with his experience it shouldn’t take but a few minutes. “ If you guys have a plan for this rescue now would be a great time to tell me.”

Greo shook his head. "My dear man, I need you here. Natallia and the others will rescue our sweet Alais. We must focus on saving her and her children once she arrives."

Titulus sighed and scratched his head, “Greo, you know how I feel about sitting on my hands when lives are on the line. She’s Dragonborn! I’ve never even made a spell that targets-“ Then Why not go see a Dragonborn?
Titulus sighed and leaned against the table, “ I’m used to the front lines Greo. Not this rearguard crap.... is it alright if I go see her. I need to a reference point if I’m going to make a spell that targets a Dragonborn. A little blood should work well enough.. and I’ll need to sift through those materials I asked you to hold onto.”

Greo paused, considering Titulus. It was true that they needed a sample of Alais' blood in order to do anything. That, or they needed to just find a second dragonborn. Which was proving to be more difficult than Greo had hoped. He had sent word to all of the thieves that funneled dragons through the Green Castle to be on the lookout for a dragonborn, but none had been found. Finally, he met his friend's eyes. "My dear friend, the security magic on Domire Castle is extensive. We don't even know what kind of spells are there! The whole point is moot. I understand you are used to more direct actions, but this isn't the best time for you to take those actions. Let us see what we can come up with here."

Titulus knew he was right, but really didn’t want to admit it. Don’t be childish, it’s not going to help anyone.
Titulus sighed and reviewed the problem in his head. “ Then let’s get to work on a version we can test here. Once we’re confident it can work I can make into a spell for Dragonborn.” Titulus scratched his head. He worked on new spells best by feel. That means this time around he would be messing with his own soul. The prospect was interesting, maybe even thrilling, but also terrifying.
“I have a rough idea on where I want to start.”

Alrimi regarded the pair of draconic women impatiently for a response and explanation as to who they were and why they had been invited. It was clear the women didn't trust their reply, despite the clear evidence she had provided them. She was about to demand their response when the torches along the walls burst into like illuminating a third woman. Alrimi frowned watching the pair of women bow and retreat without a word from the entryway of the castle leaving them in the presence of the odd appearing woman and her staff. She straightened her back as the regal woman looked them over, as though she was appraising their worth.

"Come. I am Valerie, lady of this castle. You are both to be trusted."

Alrimi narrowed her eyes as the woman waved them onward, her lips parting to speak - to demand answers when she felt her brothers hand on her shoulder, silencing her.

Rylar nodded slowly at the woman's introduction, nudging his sister into movement. "A pleasure meeting you, ma'am .. Mistress?" He paused, uncertain as to who to formerly address her. He cleared his throat and continued despite the flush on his features. "Then it was you who sent us the invitation?"

((OOC: Below is an example of emotional magic, specifically grief and anger. I wasn't sure if we'd get to see it, but here ya go!))
Natallia's cup fell out of her hand and clattered to the floor. The dull roar in her ears was so loud that she didn't hear it hit the ground.
A scream echoed in her ears. Her breathing was ragged, and she closed her open hand into a fist. Natallia blinked, but she couldn't stop the onslaught of emotions. Her hands shook as a painful knot settled over her heart.
Suddenly she was seventeen again, staring out a window at her parents getting executed. A warhammer smashed their skulls in. . .
Tears didn't come. The scream reverberated across the edges of her mind. And Natallia couldn't hold it in any longer.
"NAAAAAAATE!"
Waves of magic burst off of her, and Natallia staggered to the wall. She braced herself against it, breathing heavily as the magic continued to ripple off of her. The tears still didn't come.
She slid down the wall, her knees curling into her chest as she hugged them. "Nate..."
Why Nate? He was a kid, just a child...
The magic continued to ripple off of her, and she just sat there, holding herself. She couldn't stop thinking of that last scream, the scream that was surely her brother's. Who had done this? Why?
Natallia's heart pounded in her ears. With every beat her anger grew. She got off the ground, leaping to her feet. The magic continued to flow off her, and for a terrible few seconds, she didn't bother to contain it. She let it explode off her, and Natallia's thoughts tunneled into a single purpose. The stables. Her baby brother had to be avenged. She headed out of the room, and ran straight into Orrin.
"Out of my way," she growled. "Now."

"A pleasure meeting you, ma'am .. Mistress?"
"Then it was you who sent us the invitation?
"Valerie will do. It was not I who sent the letter."
She continued walking without another word. Valerie led them through the castle, eventually going up a flight of stairs. Several, in fact. Despite the exertion, Valerie never seemed to breathe any harder.
She led them to a large drawing room, complete with a balcony. Inside was a man, writing a letter at a desk. Valerie gestured the twins inside. "Eton, remember to remove your cuff today."
"Yes Mom."
Eton said sarcastically. When Valerie gave him a look, he sighed. "You really want me tearing the whole place down?"
"I would prefer you don't, actually. Please remove it with Greo or one of the other dragons."

Eton heaved another sighed. "After I'm done with this. Who are the new guys?"
"They have yet to introduce themselves,"
Valerie told him. "Perhaps you--"
A wave of magic hit all of them. Emotional magic. And Valerie knew it's source. She didn't hesitate to leave them without a word, looking for Natallia.
"I'm guessing you guys felt something," Eton said. He crossed the room, extending his hand to shake theirs. "By the way, I'm Eton Coppergold. I'm a dragon."

Titulus nodded, “ Yes first let’s start with-“ Titulus began until he felt a wave of magic resonate with his soul. His sensitivity with magic was a great asset when it came to crafting new and interesting spells, but at the same time it made him more sensitive to attack. Blood rushed from his extremities and his adrenaline began pumping. He saw flashes of the past. Like he was back on the front line fighting for his country and his friends. He was about to rush to the source to find it. To kill it. This pain, this anger was something he had worked through and put behind him. He would be damned if some magic was going to make him go through it all over again!
STOP! Calm down... Think!
There is was again. That voice. Always telling him what to do. Why did Titulus trust it again. You need to communicate.
“Some human is using magic that manipulates emotion. I’m going to fix it real quick. “ Titulus said through clinched teeth before rushing out of the room and after the source of the magic. His sword in one hand and a spell syringe in the other.

The twins followed the woman silently through the castle; Rimi looking at every dark shadow for something of danger whilst Rye couldn't keep his eyes from the detailed tapestries and gilded furniture. He had never seen anything quite like it, even the finest homes in their town didn't have anything close to what was here. Valerie, the white lady apparently was, had not been then one to summon them, which only served to confuse the pair more so. They watched in silence as she addressed a young lad about a cuff of some sort.

Rylar had been about to introduce himself after Valerie had called them out when something had struck him. ... No, not physically but emotionally. He rolled through him as though he were being doused in cold rain, soaked through to the bone that left him frozen. Eyes wide he watched Valerie stride from the room without a word but it appeared as though no one else was effected save for him and the White Lady.

Alrimi frowned at the boy as he came to speak to them, taking his offered hand she shook her head. "I didn't feel a thing, I'm Rimi and this is my brother Rylar."
