Backstory:
Clair was born in Dublin City. Clair was born as Clair, Gaige, O'Reilly, in the poverty-stricken downtown district of Dublin City and raised by an abusive, alcoholic father. One day, after fleeing from one of her father's rampages, she was arrested, beaten, and abused by a corrupt police officer. Upon being returned home following this ordeal, Clair shot and killed her father after he callously asked her for another drink.There were apparently similar incidents between Clair and the police. Eventually the assaults resulted in Clair losing her faith in God, leading her to believe that the police abused her because to them she was "just another little ghetto rat, with no power and no God.".
Needing some sort of escape Clair signed herself up for the military using a fake I.D that stated she was seventeen where as she was fourteen at the time. Although it was evidently forged the military took her in and began training her up. With great determination and effort Clair quickly took the the militaristic life she was introduced to. Firearms were notably a specialty of hers. And after six months Clair finished her training in Ireland and was immediately transferred to the American Navy Seals. More specifically SEAL Team Six. One of Americas more hardcore anti-terrorism units.
Life in America was quite different to that of Ireland, there was quite a lot of competition and said competition was very aggressive. Yet Clair remained calm and pushed on, taking every task one at a time. And after yet another six months Clair was top of her squad, promoted to Lieutenant Junior and shipped off to Afghanistan to take part in the war.
A year later Clair returned with the rank of Captain and a set of stone cold eyes.
During her year in Afghanistan Clair tallied up 767 confirmed kills. An unholy amount of kills, unbelievable to say the least. However not all was well and good, Clair was not home on a break she was home by order of the state. She was to be relied of her military duties for the foreseeable future as a result of metal stress and instability. Clair was diagnosed with psychosis.
After six months of leave and rehabilitation Clair was deemed fit for release and almost immediately after received the oh so infamous invitation to Battle Academy.
It is worth mentioning now that up until this point Clair was unaware of her super human abilities and is still somewhat hesitant to accept the truth.
Personality:
Clair is very competitive, sarcastic, battle hardened, battle hungry, loud, psychotically humored, rude, misanthropic, easily-bored, and extremely ill-tempered. Unlike most , she is undiplomatic, believing in the use of brute force and coercion to get her way.Clair is a merciless and sadistic killer, without a conscience, who will be more than ready to kill anyone at the slightest provocation, even unarmed civilians.She takes maniacal glee in killing anyone she fights or just for fun. She also has very little remorse for her enemies and many times have often stepped on male enemies' crotches for fun. However, she looks at it as doing them a favor as she believes any man would love a sexy woman such as her to "abuse" them. Whilst appearing to be driven by general bloodlust, it is shown suspected that Clair subconsciously uses violence as a dysfunctional coping mechanism and outlet for her deeply repressed emotional and psychological issues.
One of the ways Clair's subconscious pain and emotional scars manifest themselves is her aversion to the empathy of others or others trying to relate to her. People presuming to understand what she has been through or how it has affected her is a huge enrage button for Clair, causing her to react in a violent rage and also at times forces on her enraged form, suggesting the depth of the bitterness and grief her early life has bred in her.

Hero Type: Enrage negative (Rage)
Special Mode: When in special mode Clair's eyes become stone cold and all her emotions vanish into this air. While in special mode,
Clair can achieve complete and utter accuracy on distant targets, with the activity in her brain center for aim, accuracy and precision drastically improved. Clair need only to aim for an instant before she can precisely hit a target with a projectile.
Clair can judge extremely long distances amazingly accurately, gauging the strength needed to launch a projectile, in order to hit a target accurately. If a target is moving Clair can calculate the best method to hit the target. Visual obstructions like smoke and vegetation do somewhat hinder her ability to get an accurate bead on her target ( very little but it is apparent), and her intense focus on whatever she's shooting at allows for outside distractions to be silenced rather easily.
Clair can also compensate for environmental factors that would normally throw off her aim like wind, air resistance, gravity, and radiant heat (which distorts the image of the target).
Power: Clair is highly skilled with all types of firearms allowing her to perform great feats and benefit in far ranged combat.
Clair also able to operate all variations of guns. She can construct guns as well as repair them. she also has an expert knowledge of guns and handling them. Clair has excellent intuition on trigger-initiated, hand-held, and hand-directed implements, especially with an extending bore, which thereby resemble the class of weapon in either form or concept.(essentially she can tell when a gun or something similar to a gun is going to fire and also predict said weapon's projectile/s trajectory.)

Normal Appearance: Botch Blythe stands at 5’9”, weighing 155 LBs. With his brunette hair constantly messy and unkempt, showing no apparent signs of care, bags greying his perpetually tired, brown eyes and his uniform worn disheveled, crooked and wrinkled, Botch Blythe’s appearance is traditionally considered absolutely unacceptable.
Superhero Appearance: Botch Blythe sacrificed the luxuries of family, as per the wish that inflicted him with his Curse. As such, he finds no reason to attempt to mask his identity. Only to satisfy the Academy’s guidelines, beggaring a superhero costume, Botch settled merely for a ragged cloak tied about his casual clothing, which he unties when participating in physical activity in order to create room for easy, fluid movements.
Special Mode Appearance: When he enters his Curse-Mode, the detail in his body disperse, leaving him a mere, literal shadow of who he once was. His body language takes on that of a man overcome with feral rage. Most notably, while in this form, wisps of dark energy can be seen (and sensed) lifting off his body and taking to the sky.
*Backstory: Botch Blythe was always happy in his life, living comfortably with his family in Modernville. Comfortably middle-class but being an only child, there was no distinctive shortage of foodstuffs, utilities nor personal items such as toys, books or games. Botch attended the local school-district everyday, earned modest grades, and came home to spend quality time with his family. Botch Blythe’s lived far enough from the borders of Modernville that, despite invasions, any vicious marauder was never able to reach his home before they were mercilessly done in by Modernville’s extensive militant force.
However, this pure, sheer bliss -- the unrelenting happiness, comfort and safety -- was just what Botch hated most. Botch lived a modest life, doing modest work and living with a modest income. Botch never did anything exceptional, new, wonderful or fantastic -- they never even left the district of Modernville. He never wanted to sound like an ingrate to his family, who treated him beautifully, so his frustrations towards the tedium of the everyday were kept to himself, with Botch making attempts to satiate his boredom with life by directing much of his attention towards learning the lore of the city he lives in, reading of mysterious, unexplained occurrences that, even with the city being as it is, shouldn’t have happened. He immersed himself in worlds he didn’t belong to, lives that weren’t his own. Fiction and urban legends were his only gateway to the fantastical world about him that, as a normal human, he couldn’t belong to no matter how close he got to it.
These frustrations escalated further into him isolating himself from his family as he grew more and more reclusive, electing to stay within the confines of his own room and continue his metaphorical exploration into the worlds he craved to be apart of. It wasn’t long until this began to fester in the back of his mind, extending to a general discontentedness with his current state of living and the unrelenting feeling of having never earned the comforts and luxuries he was born into having.
This prompted Botch to seek out a very particular character from an urban legend. Known as “The Genie”, they are formerly a Curse-type Hero belonging to the Battle Academy, who was forced to hide themselves in a forest on the outskirts of Valtimor when they mastered and misused the ability to utilize the energy of smited Phantoms to enhance their own arcane abilities when they were threatened with the possibility of lynching. They would sneak around, acting as a genie and preying on those who are unhappy, promising to grant their wishes. However, the wishes always came with a hefty price. While what initially seems like a bonus to the wish the newfound presence of a “Curse” granting you supernatural abilities you may not’ve had before, as with all good things, there is a catch: one is obligated to repay their debt to the Genie in the form of the negative energy left behind as remnants of destroyed Phantoms. The Curse, applied with the very same energy as that which composes the nightmarish fiends the Genie seeks, forces the life force of the Cursed to conform, sapping it from you in exchange for usage of your abilities to fuel the Genie’s malign powers. The only way to prevent your inevitable fall? Destroy and/or absorb Phantoms. While a Human’s life force is abundant, allowing for them to use their abilities without particularly being at risk for quite a long time, caution is all but advised.
Botch took the chance, and made the long and arduous journey to Valtimor. In approaching the outskirts of Valtimoor, he was immediately welcomed by the Genie, who claimed to have known he was coming. In a confused fit of anger and frustration that had been building up all of his life, Botch immediately demanded that he relive his life, having nothing and nobody, so that only he and he alone could give him happiness and comfort, so that he could earn everything in life, so that he could finally find what it is he’s looking for that he’s missing from life. The Genie laughed, dubbing him a “confused, little masochist.”But, nonetheless, they granted Botch’s wish. Thrown into a new world, where, in accordance with his wish, he was left alone as soon as he was old enough to understand what it is he had to do to survive. He freely traversed Modernville, Supremopolis, Kalachuchi and Valtimor from a young age, doing various odd jobs for money to survive. He learned at his own pace, and by living. A world and a life wherein nobody but he remembers his reality as it once was, where his pact with the Genie was known only by him, where he could learn as he pleased, and live off his own money, earning all he owns with his own effort. It wasn’t until the day, just one year ago, that he had somewhere new to call home, a home he earned, by participating in the counterattack against the Phantoms, siphoning enough energy to last him years, and then finding the letter left at one of his campsites…

I, the president of the United States, hereby congratulating you for becoming a part of the first batch of students for the Battle Academy. Please be by the docks at 7:00 AM to be on board the ship that would set sail to the academy itself. Please bring a lot of supplies for you will be staying at the academy for 4 years. A home, where comforts and luxuries lie that he earned. A place he finally considered a home he could happily live in.
*Personality: Both thanks to the studies he performed in his previous life and all of the places he’s carried himself to in the current, he has a wide range of cultural understanding and knowledge. He is a highly skilled chef with a wide palette, able to make delicious meals from even the basest of ingredients.
Botch has almost fetishized “hope”, constantly talking about hope and despair, and the effect both have on human development. He has developed a heavily taoist stance in regards to how he lives his life. Often times, despite his reclusive nature, Botch will still go on tangents, applying the concepts of hope and despair to any everyday situation.
Botch Blythe is a bit reclusive, a habit carrying over from his “previous” life and only being more agitated by his “current” life. His social skills are heavily lacking, due to him only ever keeping relationships and interactions with other people especially superficial. He is heavily knowledgeable of general cultural interactions, such as typical greetings, farewells and other such specifics, however in in-depth conversation, Botch finds himself struggling to be able to properly communicate, becoming immensely uncomfortable.
Botch, however, proves himself hard working, both socially and academically, making attempts in strides to learn to properly socialize with others when he has to, and always doing his work to the fullest. He makes it a point to never do anything just half-way.
Hero Type: (Refer to the Lore and Other Information Thread): Cursed-type
^Power/s: While Botch has no truly practical abilities for use in combat, he inherently siphons the energy left behind by Phantoms as they’re destroyed.
Botch’s life force has been conformed to that which is reminiscent of a Phantom’s, in order to allow the Genie to properly siphon his life as he utilizes the weapon she bestowed upon him. As a result, in the event of Phantom invasions, Phantoms will not be hostile towards Botch specifically until he engages them in combat.
His Curse also leaves him with 2 “last resort” abilities: The ability to perform what Botch refers to as a “mating call”, wherein he can summon a horde of nearby Phantoms to his location, and the ability to “pass on” his Curse to another person, forcing them into the same horrid situation as Botch without the added benefit of special abilities. This allows the Cursed to prey on the victim of the newly initiated Curse, killing them to siphon their Phantom-esque energy to further enhance the originally Cursed’s longevity.
While in his Curse-Mode, Botch's physical speed, strength, agility and reflex speed are enhanced immensely. Flagellation is additionally able to be manipulated with much more fervor than before. While in his Curse-Mode, his life energy is gradually sapped from his body and transferred to the Genie. However, in exchange, none of Flagellation's abilities cause anymore to be sapped, allowing Flagellation to be used to its fullest.
^Weapon/s:
Flagellation: Flagellation is the weapon associated with Botch’s curse, taking the form of a simple whip. While merely flinging it around as a whip does not cause Flagellation to siphon Botch’s life force, utilizing its special abilities does. Flagellation allows its wielder to freely manipulate the whip’s efficacy, enhancing its length, strength, width, endurance, and allowing the user to produce additional tails for the whip. The user is also capable of manipulating the movements of the tail(s) of Flagellation. The greater the enhancement, the more tails that are produced and the more you manipulate Flagellation and however many tails it current has, the more of Botch’s life energy the weapon saps from him, and the closer he is to untimely demise. While risky, Flagellation is a weapon that proves undoubtedly useful when it has to be used.
Etymology: Botch’s first name “Botch” is a synonym of the word “ruin” and “Blythe” is a corruption of the word “Blithe”, which means to be easygoing. It refers to Botch ruining his previous, easygoing life.
His nickname from the Genie, “Masochist”, his superhero name “Cat o’ Nine”, and the name of his weapon “Flagellation” are all references to Botch’s almost masochistic manner in which he demanded his life be harder and more punishing. Cat o’ Nine is a reference to the Cat o’ nine tails, a nine-tailed whip used in the process of flagellation, which is the use of a whip as self-punishment, which is the same reference made by his weapon, Flagellation’s name.

I attempted to create something that created room for plot, character and world development if at all possible in a bit of a pretentious attempt to help contribute to the narrative.

Arrogant, Prideful and Fiesty. Hatate is the embodiment of a fighter and a mixture of a tsundere as well. She is overconfident in her abilities, often showing off in order to get a reaction from others. Waking up on bad days for her equals a foul; bitter mood for the rest of the day. During those days, she becomes intolerable and basically a bully towards others that are weaker than her.
She's a bit on the crazy side when getting into fights, she enjoys testing out her strength on her opponents. Hatate is more proud of being a loser than a winner, it proves that she has much to still learn. If she really gets into a fight, she will go all out and won't be fazed by the sight of blood. She won't stop until either of them are beaten to a bloody pulp and there would be a clear winner. When Hatate loses however, she's more mellow and jokes around with the winner.

Every coin has two sides to a story, this includes a person's life and decisions leading up to them. On one side of the coin, you're living a life full of happiness while on the other side, it's suffering and hardships. Each side balances the other out, making sure not being too over or under powered. Hatate comes from both sides of the spectrum, the good and bad along with everything in between.
She was born into a life of crime, her father was a mafia boss that controlled most of underground China. Growing up, she was taught how to murder and steal from the rich and give to the poor. Because of the dictators that were in power, she always had a grudge against them. Stealing was natural to her, sneaking into the homes of the unexpecting and taking all their belongings without a glance. Rumors soon spread about the robberies and like naturally, people began to lock up their belongings more tightly.
After seeing that, her father became more daring and ordered her with a handful of his best skilled warriors to rob a bank. This was not just any bank, this was where the royalty held all of their priceless belongings. The heist went off without a hitch, however Hatate was captured after a week. Despite being young for her age, the public however gave her the name of "Twin Tailed Dragon."
The capture of her was so big that no matter where everyone lived, most people knew about her arrest. Hatate was bailed soon after by an anonymous person, later to find out it was the school. After she was bailed out, she was given a letter summoning her to a place called "Battle Academy." She quickly packed her vast belongings and left a life of crime behind, while pardoned of her crimes she still brings conversy wherever she goes. -

Chi Manipulation:
The ability to utilize mystical combat in multiple forms of martial arts. Hatate was trained in the martial arts of the old, allowing her to have longer lasting stamina than others. Chi is tricky to deal with as using too much can result in the user to become fatigued, if this happens in a battle then the results could be deadly. This power allows Hatate to increase her strength, speed, durability, and reflexes through using her inner power.
Chi allows her to create balls of energy and strengthen her attacks in many ways. She can destroy walls with ease, eventually even breaking bone in one swing if she puts her power into it. The problem with using Chi is that the user has to be in a constant state of awareness. They can't get side tracked or their power could shut down on them at any moment.

Chi is tricky to deal with as using too much can result in the user to become fatigued, if this happens in a battle then the results could be deadly. This power allows Hatate to increase her strength, speed, durability, and reflexes through using her inner power.
Chi allows her to create balls of energy and strengthen her attacks in many ways. She can destroy walls with ease, eventually even breaking bone in one swing if she puts her power into it. The problem with using Chi is that the user has to be in a constant state of awareness. They can't get side tracked or their power could shut down on them at any moment.

*Backstory: Rain galloway looked more human for the longest time and it didn't help with his family being piss poor and basically living in a hole, and had several jobs to meet ends meat to keep the money hungry landlord off their backs and put food on the table.
One day rain got to meet his favorite superhero through his parents and they bonded right away and rain continued to pass expectations knowing one day he would be strong enough to stand on his own.
More time passed and his mentor says i'm dying from a rare illness but i want to pass on my powers and give you the chance to show your potential at the hero academy, as promised he transferred his remain powers into rain it wasn't long before rain's body adapted to what it should've been and his hero sonic leech paid for his four years at the school before passing on not long after.
Rain cried at first but then he vowed to not let this chance slip through his fingers and do his best every day.
*Personality: Rain is a hard worker and sometimes even a bookworm sometimes social awkward and doesn't understand romance even though he likes girl, he's full of surprises and knowledge but is humble and tryies to help others just as he was and is still learning more about himself.
