"Wait and Hope"
A lone flower blooming on a frozen mountaintop. This artificial island was created through the collaboration of the renowned private military company, Rainbow’s Shadow, and a collection of Mantle merchants who foresaw the collapse of their Kingdom. While Arcadia remains a small dot on the map, its presence has managed to endure decades after its construction. To those who laid the first stone, they hoped that it could stand tall as a symbol of solidarity among the tensions that continued after the conflict.
Though it lacks an allegiance to the four Kingdoms of Remnant, the surrounding city was built around perhaps the single most important idea to emerge from the War: The Huntsman Academy. While not officially recognized by the other four academies, Arcadia Academy has proven itself through the quality of its alumni. It offers both a regular education and the rigorous curriculum in the art of slaying Grimm. Those who lack combat proficiency are educated through experience - much of the commerce of Arcadia City is run by student clubs specializing in craftsmanship.
Without the constraints of a flag, the proud Huntsmen and Huntresses of Arcadia undertake missions all across the Remnant. On the frontlines, students are stationed at hotspots of Grimm activity. The survival rate for these fresh warriors is low, especially with first year teams. While entrance standards are impossibly high, even the most promising of students have been lost to the savagery of the Grimm.

Introduction
I've had this Quest sitting around for the better part of two months now and I've only decided to launch it now that I'm finished with my semester and free from the binding chains of academia. Though this is set in a fandom-based setting, I plan on telling this story with enough leeway so that fans both new and old can enjoy this quest without prior knowledge. Of course, now that my semester's over, I'll also be managing Fate/Crossed Souls at the same time. With all the newly allotted free-time however, running these two quests simultaneously shouldn't be a problem. As you might have seen with the tags, this quest will be utilizing a simplified dice rolling system to determine outcomes. And unfortunately, as RPN currently lacks an official dice roller app, I've set up a Dice Room on rolz.org to compensate. This will be a Hosted Project and I intend to make the most of the options that it offers as a content-creator.
Overview
Players will control Niles, a young man who failed to achieve his own dream of becoming a Huntsman1 who protects humanity from the scourge of the Grimm2. Yet, despite his setback and own lack of prowess, for reasons unknown to him he was admitted into Arcadia Academy as a full-fledged Huntsman student. As an underdog among titans, Niles will have to get good quickly die trying. Follow and guide him through the rigors of his school life as he deals with threats from abroad and uncovers secrets about himself. In Arcadia, friends and enemies are in no short supply. Fight or die, eat or be eaten, Niles' fate is in your hands.
Mechanics
This Quest will use D20 rolls to determine results in combat and text choices in order to determine story-based paths. The Rolz Dice Room will record the players dice rolls and I will be taking the best of 3 to determine the outcome - joining the room will not require registering with the site but I do ask that you choose a nickname that corresponds to your RPN username to ensure that no trickery occurs. In every combat scenario, 5 failed dice rolls will result in a game over - though you'll simply have to retry the scene once more. As the Quest progresses, dice mechanics will become more varied to reflect the changes to Niles. Much like a VN, certain choices may trigger hidden flags - once enough flags are accrued a certain event will occur or something shouldn't happen will. Romance will be an optional path that one can pursue with certain characters, though it will not be the main focus of this Quest.

I'm not too sure if either of you are acquainted with the RWBY series, but I figured since you two are pretty connected you might be able to tag some other people you know who may be interested in this. You're also both players in Fate/Crossed Souls, so hopefully you'll accompany me on this Quest.
1. Huntsmen are trained fighters who protect the world from threats that range from monsters to pissed-off activist/terrorists. Education starts early with students enrolling at a Primary Combat School before moving onto a specialized Hunstman Academy.
2. Grimm are beasts of unknown origins that have assaulted humanity since the dawn of time. There is no reasoning with these creatures of darkness and it seems that their only collective goal is the complete extinction of humanity.

All things considered, this brings a certain question to your mind: Why is it that you, a Primary Combat School drop-out, were transferred into the Huntsman Program?
