It's finally here! The Out-of Character thread!

I'm still doing some heavy construction here, so bear with me while I get things up and running. I'm recuperating after 50+ hours working three day weekend which I hope will explain my lack of attention online. This is also my first hosted project so I'm figuring things out as I go....
First and foremost, thank you all for expressing your interest! There were some good questions brought up in the idea thread that I will address given time. Give me your questions and I will answer them! xD A couple of you have started making characters. I'm going to add two things to the accepting process and both things involve sending me a PM:
1. I would like an example of your writing. The minimum post length is two very reasonable sized paragraphs of acceptable grammar and spelling. When you submit your character in the Character Creation thread please also send me a personal message containing a piece to example your current work of writing.
2. This goes along with character creation. Along with an example text in your PM to me, include also at least one fear that your character will have at least at the start of the roleplay, and a reason as to why they have it. Not required: you also have the option to include any information you would like to keep "secret" from the rest of the crew or anything of the like. Again, secrets are not required but you have the option to do so!
3. Cyborgs. In this universe there is a huge discrimination against people with mechanical implantations. A lot of the taboo stems from cyborg's association with criminal activity, underground fighting rings, people severing their own flesh and blood in favor of cybernetic limbs simply for nothing more than personal gain. Though the technology is not new the topic is still highly controversial. It is because of the taboo that people keep their enhancements hidden and do not talk about them, this was something all people of the age grew up with and that mind of thinking is not easily shirked. If your character is to have cybernetic parts there must be a reason either why the need it or why they got it, and whether they have them at all. Of course, characters can choose whether or not they publicize any cybernetic enhancements--you can disclose this in the PM if you do not wish to reveal this to your crewmates.
4. I'll be adding more info on the other Nations of Earth sooner than later and if you so choose in the future you would like your character to grow up there I am okay with that. Keep in mind that to all be apart of the crew for their voyage they were all hand selected and put together into squads years prior to train so there will still be opportunities for character to have preexisting bonds and relationships with each other. Once your character has been approved you can take to either discussion thread--or even pms if there is something specific you wish to carry out, I always encourage dynamics--to make plans!
