For the purpose of actually getting this going again, zacks shoulder heals magically fast! It would be at the point if partially fused. Something awakens him. He ignores it to try to sleep again, but the faint smell of acrid smoke drifts through the room. This warrants within his mind as "danger". But he fights the urge to flee. He does however get out if the bed and wander the building to locate the source of the smoke.
