Just High School (1x1)

Alice woke up to the sound of her alarm clock ringing in her ear. "Ugh... school." She said as she leaped out of bed and put on her clothes, doing her makeup and tying up her laces. After that she rushed to the fridge and got out a yogurt to eat. "I'm full. Now I can go to school." Alice walked to the bus stop as it arrived, climbing onto it and shortly after that arriving at the school.

Eric woke up to his mother shaking him roughly, and he glared at her as she retreated from the room with an apologetic smile on her face. He sits upright and looks at the time, sighing, before he gets out of his bed and walks over to his dresser, pulling out a 3/4 sleeved tshirt and a pair of grey slightly skinny jeans. He puts them on before sighing, and pulling on his pair of boots. He wasn't hungry or anything, so instead of grabbing anything to eat, he simply grabbed his backpack and pulled it on to his back before heading out of the front door and walking to school. It was his first day there, even though it was the middle of October, and everyone had already found all their friends already. He was destined to be a loner at this school already.

Alice walked into the school, seeing her friends and peers smiling at her and looking excited that she was back at school. "Hi!" She exclaimed and hugged all of them while slouching her bag on her shoulder and looking around the building with them when she saw a new face. "Who's he?" Alice whispered to one of her friends.

Eric walked over to his locker, opening it and pushing his backpack inside. He was certain that someone was looking at him, and he turned to look in the direction of the stare, meeting the eyes of the blonde girl across the hall. Confused as to why she was looking at him, he quickly looked away, and shut his locker door. He hoped that he wouldn't stick out so much but he knew it was inevitable, considering he was a new kid.

Alice quickly turned her head away from him and walked the opposite way. "Um... nevermind." She walked to her class and sat in her chair at the front, only to see lots of people excited that she was in her class.

Eric walked to his next class, sitting at the back of the classroom. He wasn't in the same class as the girl, he presumed that he was older than her anyway. He put his head on the desk, sighing, as the teacher walked into the room. He didn't even know what lesson this was, but he honestly didn't care. He just hoped that he wouldn't be made to read out loud or anything, considering he couldn't really read very well.

Alice placed her bag down on the floor and whispered to the girl next to her about the mysterious boy they saw earlier, when the teacher caught her talking. "Find another classroom to sit down in." He told her and she did. She picked up her bag and walked to a classroom, to only see that the boy she saw earlier was sitting inside.

((OH MY GOD))

Eric looks over at the girl who had walked in, smirking a little, realising that the only spare chair was next to him. He looks over at the teacher as he sends her to sit next to him, and lifts his head from the desk. He knew that he shouldn't talk to her, that he should just blend in.

Alice leaned back in her chair and fell off it. Her face turned red as she stood up and rushed out of the classroom into the girls' toilets. After seeing some blood trickle down her knee she got a paper towel and wiped it off, while it stung and she flinched a tiny bit.

Eric chuckled slightly as she fell off her chair, watching her leave the classroom. He'd go after her but again, unwanted attention was bad for his situation. He didn't know where hunters could be at this specific time, and they'd all love to get their hands on a demon, wouldn't they?

Alice snook back into the classroom, her face still bright red. She saw everyone staring at her so she put her head down on the desk to hide the embarrassment on her face.

As the teacher droned on and on about some stupid poem, Eric watched the girl. When she sat back down, he bit his lip, trying to resist the urge to speak to her. Unable to, he slouches in his chair, turning his head to look at her. "You okay?" He smirks, asking her about her falling off her chair.

"I'm fine." Alice said bluntly while mumbling it under her breath and turning her head towards him. She thought he was scary, but it turned out he was actually a pretty nice guy.

"You know, you really shouldn't fall out of chairs, sometimes it doesn't end well." He laughs quietly, his eyes on the teacher at the front to give the impression that he was actually listening. Every so often he looked at her, his hand tapping on his thigh repeatedly. "Your mother never tell you about the guy that leant to far back and died?"

"My.... mo..." Alice's words trembled off into a whisper when he mentioned her mother, but decided to not let her emotions show. "Nope. I haven't heard of that story..." She said as her eyes looked down at the floor.

"Well it pretty much speaks for itself." He whispers to her, oblivious to her emotions. He wasn't good at detecting them, and he wasn't good at showing them. He turns away from her and looks out of the window for a moment, the teachers voice in the background almost putting him to sleep. He turns back to the girl. "I'm Eric." He introduces himself finally.

"I'm Alice." She said with a smile and put her head down again because she saw a lot of older people staring at her. Her face turned red again and she closed her eyes.

When he noticed the people staring at her he immediately stopped talking, he really didn't want to draw attention to himself. As the lesson progresses, the teacher relates the subject to Pandoras Box, and Eric's ears prick at the sound of the familiar name. He knew a lot about Pandora's box, and he knew a lot about it, because the moment he had started researching what he was, everything directed him there. "Can someone tell me what was let out of Pandora's box?" The teacher asks the classroom, raising his eyebrows.

Alice quickly fell asleep. The learning part of school was very boring to her, hence why she has bad grades and a bad attitude towards teachers. Although this happens she does feel like she could be a bit more mature sometimes, though.

The teacher calls on him, and all eyes look at him. He bites his lip, stuttering, "uh, uh... Evil. Evil was let out of the box. You know, murder, disease, that kind of thing. But uh... Every religion says something different." He says it quietly, and when he finished he leaned back in his chair and looked down at his hands. The teacher nods and begins to say other things to other students, pointing at things on the whiteboard. Soon enough, the lesson was over.

Alice was still sleeping in her chair when the bell rang. When she was asleep, nothing could wake her up. Much like a cat. Her head was still buried in her arms as she slept soundly.

Eric stood up, pushing his hair out of his eyes, and stood looking down at sleeping Alice. He smirked at the thought of leaving her there, but instead he decided to wake her. He put his hand on her shoulder and shook her slightly, before leaning down next to her and blowing in her ear. "Wake up, before you're doomed to that lesson again." He says into her ear, then stands up and looks down at her.

Alice woke up and stretched, just realizing that she was still in the classroom. "Oops...." She said while picking up her bag and looking at her timetable for her next class. "Well, bye Eric."

Eric smirks slightly and gets his own timetable out of his pocket, looking at it for a moment, trying to make out what he had. He'd never been able to read well, it had really set him back, education wise, which is why he was being forced to take English with a class that was younger than him. He sighs, "Wait, Alice, where do I go to get here?" He asks her, pointing at the lesson on his timetable, but not telling her that he couldn't even read what lesson it was.
