When the dead decided to not be dead anymore, much happened to the world. The majority of the human population is now composed of shambling canabalistic corpses. Only those who had survival skills, fighting instincts, fast feet, or a combination of the three have survived. Now, with all governmental systems long gone, and only budding survival groups left, some made of loners, some of families that actuall got lucky, others of bandits and barbarians, one place quickly grew. It was an oil rig off the coast of mississippi, its first inhabitants being two companions who fled from northern virginia. One being the strong silent type, the other the more brainy guy, who immediately named the place 'Madman's Land'. The two managed to build up a group of about fifty survivors, and have built a kind of floating city. Thin slabs of concrete infused with gas lighter than air surround the oil rig, allowing a place for the group to build a city. There are only a few buildings, and only the bare essentials, but everyone gets what they need, and this keeps everyone in the tight-knit community happy. The setlement is run from power the oil rig makes, and turbines bowered by the waves from the water. After seven years, all the corpses are either decomposed or (thoroughly) killed, and seeing a zombie actually still walking around is more of an annoyance than a hinderance. Here, in this world, humans are trying to rebuild life anew, but some have more abstract ideas than others...
RULES:
-No godmodding
-Charecters must have backstory explained
-If you make someone from another settlement, or another settlement entirely, check with me first. The settlements history must be explained, and the key figures will have to be noted. Im not planning for this, but in case it happens, I wil make an 'Orginizations' tab
-No killing other charecters unless it is discussed. NOTE: If you do try to godmod, I will kill your charecter, and the RP will move along
-Kat/Rachel/Ryan/Rey/Barnaby/Nick/Cat=fam (lil joke thar)
