Personality: While he defaults to a serious demeanor, he's a nice enough guy, if cynical and often tired of the world's bullshit. He's respectful unless given reason not to be, and he's a believer in giving others frequent praise. When given a task, he will complete it. He'll throw all his concentration into even the small things, like walking somebody's dog. His determination is a double-edged sword, however; sometimes he'll neglect himself in order to finish the job.

Being a detective, he has impressive analyzing skills. However, he's also quite the actor--he can flawlessly adopt a different personality if he thinks it'll help him gather information. His mind is constantly going, and when he's obsessed with a case, he won't hesitate to push the lines of what's legal.

Fun Facts:
-He takes way more naps than is probably healthy.
-He gains bad habits (constantly popping fingers, picking at nails, pulling at threads on clothes) easily. It's like when he gets over one habit, it's replaced by another.
-He despises celery.
-Will randomly text "why are people like this" with no explanation.

Original Backstory:
His main focus is finding his daughter, Josephine, without the police department knowing. What he'll do once he finds her...he has no idea. He blames himself for what Josephine has become.

Abilities: Royce has the physical strength of the average boxer, and he has no formal combat training. But make no mistake; his punches are hard and brutal. He has the ability to manipulate small electrical currents. Thus he can fry machines with ease or redirect minor energy sources. Most terrifying of all, if he manages to touch someone's bare limb, then he can control the brain's signals to that limb.

Personality: Royce speaks bluntly and throws teasing--oftentimes crude--remarks at everyone. When someone has slighted him, his words gain a brutal, darker edge that can cut others to pieces. Luckily he is nonchalant about most things, and he's also a friendly extrovert as long as you respect him. Since he constantly finds himself bored he tends to drag others into varying kinds of competitions with him. Games of cards, dares, sports, fights; you name it and he'll do it. He couldn't care less if he wins or not. He just adores the thrill of trying. He will show genuine if awkward kindness toward those he cares about, and he is a strong leader when the need arises.

Fun Facts:
-To his chagrin, he's rather clumsy.-He likes people who can match him or kick his ass, and he isn't afraid to let anyone know.
-If he hasn't worn himself out by bedtime, then he will constantly toss and turn in his sleep.

Original Backstory:
After being isolated in a mansion for the first eighteen years of his life, he craves anything that will give him a thrill—especially fighting. Thanks to his upbringing he is a fantastic businessman. He is a surrogate older brother to Gerome.

She’s the kind of person someone could happily talk to for hours without ever realizing she gave little information about herself. Due to that fact she sometimes seems distant and hard to get close to. Due to an incident in the past, she greatly fears loneliness. She is extremely open-minded, even toward things she may not understand, and tries her best to not judge others. She has a subtle mischievous side. Her fashion style changes by the day; one day she could be wearing a dress, and the next day she could be wearing combat boots.

Original Backstory:
As one of the last dragons in the known world, she disguises herself as a human. There was a massive war between kingdoms several years ago: humans and dragons vs. magical wolves, eagles, bears, and tigers. The war ended in a stalemate, but the dragons were decimated. Vivianne's older brother seeks vengeance for the dragons' near-extinction, and her younger brother followed him to spy on him. The younger brother visits often to give updates. Meanwhile, Vivianne has to guard the precious Dragon's Tear lake. She has the ability to see people's fate strings—what kind of relationships they have or will have, how long they'll know each other, etc.—except her own.

Personality: According to Vanora, being laid back is the way to go. She sees no point in letting herself get stressed, and whenever she wants to do something, she just goes for it thinking "what's the worst that could happen?" She's quick to forgive and forget. It's also difficult to offend her, as she takes few insults to heart. If she doesn't care about a task, she won't bother putting her all into it and will settle for average. Since she used to be an over-stressed person herself, she knows the signs of panic and will do her best to calm others down. In the rare times she does let stress get to her, it hits her hard.

Fun facts:
-Instead of going to the doctor for anything, she figures "eh I'll probably be fine" and ignores the problem until it goes away or someone forces her to go.
-She likes nature and frequently goes on hikes.

Original Backstory:
Vanora is the daughter of a selkie chief. Like most selkies, she can transform into a seal and is weak to metals. For a long time her tribe was nomadic and constantly fleeing from hunters. Then, tired of always being on edge, Vanora started fighting back. The other selkies were inspired by her courage and joined her. Now she is determined to live as stress-free as possible, and heaven help anyone who activates her stress. She will eliminate the problem. On the other hand, if there's a problem that doesn't affect her and her tribe, it will take a lot to convince her to help. She's quick to forgive and forget. Along with being an extremely relaxed person, she's good at calming others down.

Personality: As sweet as sweet can be, Elias is an easygoing young man who is far too trusting for his own good. He is quite observant and will often blurt out his observations, whether they be good or bad. Normally, though, those observations come out as compliments. Due to his naïve nature and inability to detect threats, he won’t realize someone is threatening him until there’s a fist in his face. But be rest assured that, even though he can’t fight worth a damn, he’ll throw himself in front of anyone that needs protecting. His kindness and loyalty know no bounds.

Fun facts: -He can learn and retain information at ridiculously fast speeds.
-Want to see him turn completely red in seconds? Compliment him. Even though he compliments everyone else, he never expects to receive them.
-He is ethnically Jewish.

this sweetheart has an impressive ability: he can remembering anything he reads. Thanks to that, he can learn quickly, and he helped his father become the mayor of the town by helping with the campaign. Unfortunately this meant his family realized just how much they could use him. His parents pushed all their work onto Elias, and Elias' brother took advantage of his kind nature. However, he doesn't see it as abuse. He just truly believes his family needs him, and that's why they refuse to let him leave the town—even though exploring the world is his dream. Then a group of thieves break into the house, and, after realizing how bad Elias had it, they took him with them. To put it bluntly, he's pretty shit at being a thief, but he's such a bright soul that he keeps everyone's moods up. He's naive and daydreams a lot. Even though he can't fight, you better believe he'll take a hit for his friends.

Background: Even from a young age Elias showed an incredible gift for learning—specifically, he could retain anything he read. When he was twelve, his father decided to run for head of the town council. Elias helped, and his hard work helped his father get elected. It was then his parents realized just how talented he was, and they took full advantage of that. They worked him into the ground and convinced him he could never leave town. On top of all that, Elias' younger brother was jealous of him and caused constant trouble.

Then, one day, a group of thieves broke into Elias' home. They had planned to capture him for ransom, but upon seeing the poor state he was in, they took pity on him. Currently Elias has been traveling with them for two months. Thus he has had some exposure to life outside his town, but he's still naive to others' ulterior motives. Most of what he knows is from books or what others have told him. While he doesn't enjoy stealing, he goes along with it as long as it's as nonviolent as possible. What he does enjoy is the traveling.

Original Backstory:
Born and raised in the town, Elias showed a natural genius from an early age. He can remember any information he reads, and he is a fast learner using most other methods as well. When Elias was 16, his father ran for mayor and lost. So Elias spent the next four years teaching himself everything about town politics, propaganda, elections, and countless other topics on top of his schoolwork. It was during this time that his parents began to realize the usefulness of his ability. As a practically one-man marketing team, Elias was the reason his father succeeded in becoming and staying the current mayor. Now the young man spends much of his time juggling the work his family piles onto him. Recently his curiosity has been captured by the rumors of a mysterious estate.

She is stubborn about certain things—for example, if something breaks in her house, she will keep trying to fix it herself even if she fails several times. However, she is actually quite sociable, and she enjoys helping others. Her confident presence often helps others feel safe.

Fun facts: -She has a fondness for children and is good at working with them.
-She’s close to her twin brother, Valentin.
-If something breaks in her house, then she will try everything she can to fix it herself. She succeeds only half the time.

Original Backstory:
a pair of fitness-oriented twins. They enjoy working out and take pride in their appearances. While they compete with each other often, they are close and get along well. Their mother raised them; their father was always away traveling, and due to that he was never there to help them out. Alejandra grew to resent their father. Meanwhile, Valentin is terrified that he'll become like him because he feels the call for adventure too. Currently Valentin is a fitness trainer at a gym, and his welcoming demeanor draws people to him. He likes to show off. His biggest weakpoint is that he gives in easily to emotion. Alejandra comes off as gruff due to her curt speech, but she's a great leader. She keeps a cool head and has a hard time accepting defeat.

Personality: Despite being quick-witted and creative, Zach rarely uses their skills to further their work/school career. As long as they can get by, that's all they care about. They'd much rather spend time exploring abandoned places or perched somewhere playing a game on their phone.

How they interact with others all depends on what the person has done; if the person is neither friend nor foe, then Zach will be indifferent but polite. Friends receive their utmost loyalty, and foes should watch their backs. They are a huge believer in revenge and will remember if someone has made even the slightest insult to them. And, considering how creative they can get, there's no telling what that revenge will be. In general they also have difficulty working with others due to their extremely independent nature.

-They carry two cell phones on them at all times.
-Zach has a soft spot for shier people, as they used to be a shy person themself.

Personality: Chikaze brims with confidence from her unfiltered speech to her laidback approach in serious situations. As a lover of dark humor she unapologetically will crack jokes during tense events, and no one is safe from the occasional jab. She enjoys taking on challenges just to test her own abilities, especially since her years of trying out various sports have left her with flexibility and speed to spare. But if she wants nothing to do with an issue, she will flat out leave and refuse to acknowledge the problem or topic. Her other method of coping is to detach herself and become apathetic to everyone and anything around her.

Fun Facts:
-She tells so many cool stories that no one can tell which ones are true.
-She'll pretend to be lazy, but then somehow get the tasks done without anyone seeing.
-She is not physically affectionate.

Original Backstory:
an incredible assassin who fell in love with a prince. She worked for him for years and because of him he refused to take a proper wife. The rest of the royal family started to target him because of it. When she was away on a mission, she got struck with a magical poison that took residence in her body. It is slowly killing her, and it gushes more when her heartbeat raises. It also happened that she was pregnant. Because the poison delayed her return, she wasn't there to stop the enemy assassin from murdering the prince. So she hid her baby son with her grandparents and is determined to find someone who can remove the poison from her body.

Personality: Roland is an outgoing partier who tends to piss off half the people he meets. Along with being talkative, he's very blunt. If he has an opinion, you and everyone in the room will hear about it. He won't hesitate to throw insults like candy. Yet he typically has a lighthearted attitude, and he'll take most bad news in stride. He doesn't like seeing others sad; he'll try to lighten the mood however he can. Sometimes that results in him saying or doing goofy things. He tries to handle everything by himself.

Fun Facts:
-He has claustrophobia.

He can’t stand silence. So he talks often and bluntly—his poor agent has had to ask him to tone it down during interviews. When Ryke’s not in public, he swears like a sailor. Somehow he stays surrounded by people even when he’s an ass to half of them. But he does genuinely care about people as a whole, and he’s been seen being the first to offer help. He’s more observant than people give him credit for. He usually carries a messenger bag stuffed with wrinkled papers, which are covered in his ever-increasing story ideas.

Gerome may be young, but he is one of the most dependable people to those he cares about. He gets frustrated when people won't take him seriously, and because of that he won't let himself do anything he deems “childish." He’s resourceful and has a good heart (you just have to ignore his complaining and tendency to push others away.) Although he gets nervous easily, he hides it well and will fiercely defend those who deserve it. He’s talented in figuring out how things work, especially machines. He will help others but often refuses receiving help; the last thing he wants is to be a burden on others.

Fun Facts:
-He mumbles in his sleep (but denies it vehemently.)
-He's a picky eater...until someone calls him out on it. Then he'll stuff his face with anything and pretend he likes it.
-He likes glowsticks.

Original Backstory:
he used to live in a foster home, and he learned first aid from the babysitter, who was a nurse. Upon learning his foster parents planned to sell him in the black market, he ran away as far as he could. He learned three things while living on the streets: be fast, don't trust anyone, and don't be a kid. Thus he doesn't allow himself to do anything he deems "childish." One day he broke into someone's house to steal, and he found a half-dead guy on the couch. Against his better judgment, he helped the man (Royce) and ended up never leaving. Now he serves as Royce's medic and surrogate younger brother.

He is of Native Hawaiian descent. His black hair is parted, with one side shaved and the other sideswept. He has a lean physique and black eyes. He often wears stud earrings, and his casual outfits consist of comfortable jackets and jeans.

Kai is a hardworking sociology major. He's quite optimistic—sometimes overly so, when he's trying to hide his problems from others—and has a knack for thinking outside the box. Since he tends to get in over his head, he often finds himself in complex predicaments. Thanks to his friendly nature he makes friends easily. However, he is not nearly as kind to himself as he is to his friends, and he blames himself for his frequent anxieties.

Personality: He is strict with himself and extremely independent. It’s not that he would refuse help if it was offered; he simply does not expect anyone to offer it in the first place. Doran is used to others treating him as a supposedly invincible soldier. After living a life of battle after battle, he finds relaxing and general living in the castle difficult. He can have a nasty sarcastic streak when agitated. While not anti-social, he prefers listening to conversations rather than contributing. Teaching is an exception; he is a brilliant and patient tutor, and he will give praise where praise is due. He understands mental and physical pain quite well, thus he often sympathizes with the suffering. He is practiced at staying calm under pressure and takes great care of his appearance.

Fun Facts:
-He is third in line for the throne. His brother, Fernand, is first, and his sister, Alexandria, is second.
-His obsession is gardening.

Original Backstory: Known as the “Warrior Prince,” Doran spent the last forty years on the battlefield. His unusual—and often called underhanded—tactics ensured him many a victory against the humans, and his reputation alone is enough to make countless human soldiers shudder. When he heard of the peace treaty, he was stunned, to say the least. But then when he learned he was to be wed to a human prince to strengthen the peace, well. He couldn’t imagine a worse fate. Not only is his main purpose, fighting, being taken away, but he must also marry an enemy.
