  Students at Hogwarts know Sebastian Prince as Gryffindor’s brave and respectable quidditch team captain, not only being a skilled beater but also a talented young wizard. Unlike his brother Dorian, Sebastian commits to any duty of his no matter how difficult or unpleasant it is, not very fond of giving up. His resilience and determination makes him a great leader as well as a role model to his other younger siblings, but in turn there are times when he doesn’t know when to quit, often greatly overworking himself. He is deeply critical of his own flaws and shortcomings, constantly striving to live up to the expectations that both he and his family sets for himself.
  
  He is usually able to remain stone-faced no matter what situation he is in due to his strict father teaching him what makes a worthy and powerful heir. Going out riding on Achilles is one of his favourite pastimes, finding that it helps him clear his mind. He also has a wild crow friend he named Zeus and a green-eyed black cat named Emery who he rescued as a stray against his parents’ wishes.

  Sebastian isn’t looking forward to marriage because of how miserable and toxic his parents' loveless marriage is. He has come to believe that marrying for love only happens in novels and he worries that he’s inevitably going to end up turning into his father. Some of the only times he can enjoy his brother Dorian’s company is when they're duelling, having a competitive game of magical chess or out horseback riding in the fields. He’s a bit of an ambivert, enjoying quiet time spent alone yet also enjoying the company of others. He likes attending a good ball, but almost always ends up disappearing off somewhere part way through.

  The Princes are an extremely wealthy and noble wizarding family who are known pureblood elitists, constantly doing whatever it takes to stay powerful and respected. Darius Maximillion Prince took Evangeline Noir as his wife when they were only seventeen, with Evangeline leaving her home country of France for the first time to marry into the esteemed Prince family. When she arrived in England and met her new fiancé for the first time, the language barrier hindered their ability to communicate which frustrated the both of them.
  
  Darius, an apathetic young man who like his father and grandfather knew little to nothing about empathy, thought that Evangeline wasn’t putting in enough effort into learning English to be communicative with him. The cunning Evangeline, on the other hand, quickly found herself fluent-enough in English to understand it and simply didn’t feel the need to make it known, much preferring to listen to what Darius said when he thought she wasn't able to translate. She soon saw that he was a bitter young man with questionable morals who had no intention of trying to get to know her for emotional reasons—and it was only then that she decided to start communicating with him, prepared for the life that awaited.
  
  Love is an emotion that Sebastian’s parents haven’t felt for each other to this day, finding it easier to ignore most of their differences during times of need and focus on the only thing that is important: elevating the family’s standing in the wizarding world’s social hierarchy by whatever means necessary. Offspring was one of the most necessary means, with Sebastian being their firstborn son who would be shaped into their greatest asset. It would be a lie to say that Evangeline didn’t care about her children, but the woman she could have been was ruined by the man that Darius was.
  
  What Darius was is a sorry excuse for a father, and his parenting style was strict and unforgiving to the point that the way he treated his children largely depended on the value that they brought to the family as well as their magical aptitude. Sebastian, born seven minutes before his fraternal twin brother, had no choice but to shape himself into a young prodigy, not only becoming a promising wizard but also the respectable heir his father always wanted. Showing minor signs of weakness in front of Darius or, god forbid, talking about your feelings, was a very bad idea—so Sebastian stopped doing it altogether.
  
  Evangeline was actually much less strict within reason when Darius wasn’t around for business affairs which became more and more frequent as the years went on. Sebastian loved it when Darius would leave on long trips, but he didn’t love how it made his mother and younger siblings feel. She did well to hide it and act as though she was perfectly content with her life, but the subtle look of disappointment Sebastian saw in her eyes every time his father left proved otherwise.
  
  He came to believe that marriage is a sentence to lifelong misery, fearful that he was losing a piece of himself and becoming more like his father with each passing year. Still head strong and having come to accept the fact that his duties are inevitable, Sebastian pushed this fear to the back of his mind, gaining popularity in school as Gryffindor’s quidditch team captain as well as being one of the Prince brothers. Over the years he grew distant from his twin brother, Dorian, who had so much more freedom simply for being seven minutes younger. Their brotherly rivalry is known to most.

  Dorian is a lover of art, beauty and all things fun, finding joy in going to parties and not being afraid to break the rules in the name of having a good time. He can be such a troublemaker at times that it's lucky he is cunning and capable of talking, lying or manipulating his way out of trouble; a skill that his father actually values because of how it could benefit the family.

  The Princes are an extremely wealthy and noble wizarding family who are known pureblood elitists, constantly doing whatever it takes to stay powerful and respected. Love is an emotion that Dorian’s parents haven’t felt for each other to this day (see Sebastian’s backstory), finding it easier to ignore most of their differences during times of need and focus on strengthening the family.
  
  Dorian was born seven minutes after his twin brother, these minutes alone making a drastic difference in what Dorian’s life could’ve been like. While their father was strict to all of his children, it was very clear to Dorian that his brother had it a lot worse than him with the burden of being the family heir on his shoulders. The two of them were once so close that they were inseparable as children, but the more effort Sebastian put into living up to their father’s expectations, the more Dorian felt left behind in his brother’s spotlight.
  
  Dorian was a decently powerful wizard, but Sebastian was a force to be reckoned with—and so Dorian’s efforts were swept under the rug, only ever occasionally praised by their more observant mother. Dorian wasn’t able to become a stone-faced prodigy for their approval like his brother was, so he was forced to work with what he had. What he had happened to be captivating eyes and a way with his words, so in order to make the family look good, he became a gregarious socialite that everybody looked up to. For the first time in his life, Dorian’s father saw something in him of value. It made his father proud that Dorian could talk and lie his way out of any tricky situation and he recognised the quality as being a useful asset when it came to upwards social mobility.
  
  Dorian effectively faked his confidence until it became real, gaining immediate popularity in Hogwarts alongside his brother for his meticulously crafted personality. The attention he received at school was something he wasn’t so familiar with growing up in the shadow of Sebastian’s spotlight, and Dorian completely relished in it, coming to the realisation that most people react more fondly to a very particular version of himself: the version that acts as though he’s important no matter how empty he feels on the inside.

What a mind!

Lorcan is someone you don't mess with. And if you do, chances are he's playing right along with you.He is well aware of the cutthroat nature of the world, and don't pretend it is anything other than it is. He is, in that way, quite apathetic, but he sees it as realistic. Lorcan doesn't really care about other people, and God forbid a time when he does (dear god, what would happen if he opened up to someone?). He is a little narcissistic, but he is fully aware of this and therefore his apparent narcissism is quite ironic.

Lorcan is one of those people with a dry wit. Lorcan often has serious facial expressions, or perhaps a light smirk, and can come out with a sentence that might make you cry with laughter without so much as a crack of a smile himself. Although most people don't know him for his humor, it is certainly there. Never underestimate a woman

Charlotte is an extremely entitled young woman, believing herself to be better than everyone around her. Being raised with an older brother, she is quite used to standing up for herself and speaking what is on her mind. Raised in a very traditional pure blood family, Charlotte did not have what you could consider the warmest of childhoods. Rarely ever seeing her father since the man was always at work and shut himself away in his study at home once returning from the apothecary, her mother had a very hands off approach in raising her daughter. Having already raised Preston into a fine young man, her parents were content to hand the majority of her care off to the house elves. They did the bare minimum when it came to raising her, mainly focused on grooming her to be a proper pure blood young woman that wouldn’t embarrass the family name in public. Her brother moved out of the house a few years before she started attending Hogwarts, not that it mattered since the two of them barely spoke to each other. Her brother wasn’t much when it came to social interaction and Lottie’s experience with children her age came from her parents setting up small get togethers with other pure blood families. It only got worse when she found herself at school. In her eyes, it was a school full of people she could recruit to follow her and hang off every word she said. Ashryn is considered the 'Ice Queen' of Slytherin, and chances are of Hogwarts. She is calm, collected, and composed (most of the time anyways). Ash is intelligent and focused, taking her duties as prefect extremely seriously no matter the house. She knows her reputation, but it doesn't mean she is cruel or rude. She may be quiet and distant when you first meet her but know that she has a protective streak that runs miles long despite her house. Ashryn is the eldest born to the Greengrass line. She was trained to be the 'perfect' heiress according to her parents of the Greengrass line. She is pursuing the pathway of being a healer and mediwitch. She tends to be locked away in her room, focusing on her studies even though her parents are discussing an arranged marriage to another line. Ash had a very distant childhood - her parents only focused on her manners and political prowess. As such, this gal determined to follow her own path despite everything. When she was 4 years old, her parents had another child and while she retained the heiress position and title, her little sister got everything she didn't.

Miriam Greengrass got all the attention, focus, and proud comments that Ashryn never got. As such, despite everything, Ash tends to close herself off. While Miriam has no clue why her elder sister treats her the way she does - she knows deep down Ashryn would protect her with her very life. Ashryn treasures her little sister despite everything, and as such, she is known to be a fiercely loyal big sister to most in Hogwarts. After her fourth year at Hogwarts, Ashryn refused to live under the same roof as her parents and headed to Gringotts. The goblins helped the young witch find a mansion under her lineage, and she immediately decided to live there instead of with her parents. While rumors have spread that a marriage is being arranged and that the heiress has left her parent's house - no one has yet to figure out where she currently lives and why she moved away. The question many have is who is she engaged to - and will the pair end up working out for better or for worse?

Hogwarts Years

Ashryn's first year wasn't very interesting. The young heiress was sorted into Slytherin and immediately found her way into the graces of almost every professor there. She was a prodigy at potions and charms. Her defense was decent, and she absolutely despised History of Magic. While her first year had this girl getting into trouble with older students of other houses, she also found her preference of the quiet and simplicity of the Hogwarts Infirmary. The matron ended up allowing the girl to watch her and thus encouraged the witch to follow her heart in the arts of healing.

Her second year was way too quiet. Mainly, Ash focused on her studies and helping the matron in the infirmary. Her third year was the same as her second year with her helping the matron in the infirmary on all her free time. Her fourth year was when her little sister started Hogwarts and thus she ended up moving out of her home and living on her own. While the two sisters are in the same house, Miriam has noticed how her sister is a bit protective but also distant at first glance.

Her fifth and sixth year had Ashryn figure out her pathway and begin her studies to become a mediwitch. Her fondness for helping the infirmary matron and other students allowed the girl to focus on her dream and future career. Despite this path, she constantly got badgered by her parents trying to encourage her to become an auror or even sit back and allow her future husband to do all the work. Which to be honest the girl refused.

Now Ashryn is in her seventh year at Hogwarts and mostly her free time is spend in the infirmary, helping the matron with work while also allowing her classes not to stray behind. She is usually found in the library, the infirmary, or in her classes while also being a bit late to getting to bed. Her heart is set on being a mediwitch - though she received a letter from her mother stating they had finally found her a match and she was engaged. Ash refuses to allow her parents to dictate her life and as such ... will she meet her fiance or will she end up allowing him to try to find ways to get into her good graces?

She has a very distant relationship with her eldest daughter and sometimes wishes she had sons instead to make life a bit easier - however, she adores her youngest daughter. Mainly Miriam is less of a handful that her eldest daughter, allowing the woman to show her fondness easily comparing the two girls together. Iris tends to send letters to her eldest, stating that she has found her a fiance and engaging her eldest to a boy neither of them know.

Depsite everything she does love Ashryn and as the years go by she slowly has begun to see the more protective and loyal side to her sister she never saw beforehand.

Coryn is the lord of the Greengrass house and father to Miriam and Ashryn. He is stern and very old-fashioned for lack of better word. His relationship with her eldest, much like her mother, is very strained and distant. He is stubborn and very adamant that his heiress needs to marry a pureblood to continue their good luck and fortune. Miriam is his pride and Joy - far above Ashryn in that she listens without argument while Ash refuses to listen to the two of them.

  Aadhira is a very distant person when you first get to meet her. She embodies the entire meaning of cold, but collected. She has a regal air to her, but it mainly is due to her more cautious and shy side. She is soft-spoken and very quiet at first. Aadhira is studious and sometimes it means she may seem unapproachable with how seriously she can take her studies.
  
  This Indian pureblooded lady is compassionate and extremely intelligent. She aims to travel the world and see all the magical creatures (alongside any wildlife she comes across) throughout her travels - hints at her dream to become a Magizoologist. She is honest (brutally so) and loyal to those she trusts. Aadhira is sweet-tempered if you know her well enough for her guard to let down. However, that doesn't mean she won't be overprotective of those she cares about. She is someone who takes any goal in stride and adores being able to help others from any house (as long as they aren't loud or brash).
  
  While being cold and collected, Aadhira is also a bit more on the naive side and tends to let her curious streak get her into trouble alongside her best friend (who is a Slytherin). • India - Childhood

  Heiress Aadhira Sunayami Varma was born in the small town of Manali, nestled amongst the Himalayan Mountains in India. Her parents were Lord Niket A. Varma and his late wife, Lady Anika L. Varma nee Kaur. Both of her parents were pureblooded witches/wizards from a long Indian line. However, before we get into those details - there is one thing you have to know about Aadhira's childhood - this is that her life is anything but perfect. Both of her parents worked in the ministry and eventually, they ended up being called to Britain to work. As such, Aadhira was left with her governess for extended periods to learn how to be a perfect pureblood heiress.
  
  Anika Kaur's lineage was descended from Morgan Le Fey - and the Slytherin line. Her mother was the great-granddaughter of the Queen of Avalon, meaning that Aadhira could end up taking on the title if she ended up meeting the requirements of her great-grandmother. Anika also was the daughter of Lady Ritika Shah and Lord Shakir Kama - combining the two lines. Basically, Aadhira grew up learning all the 'perfect' ways an heiress should act and her parents tried to find her matches and arrange a marriage to an old English lineage with them moving to British soil. Aadhira lost her mother when she was around 4 years old - meaning her father focused on his job even more so than both of them used to.
  
  Aadhira became more distant as a result, so when she was 5 years old, she found herself outside in the gardens of their little mansion. Her focus was learning magic and surviving as best as she could. She ended up finding her love for magical creatures as such, but she still felt trapped. So at this age was where she vowed she would graduate Hogwarts and travel... not be tied down by some marriage or any laws that Britain held.
  

  The Decision

  Niket not only ignored his only daughter, but also remarried and this woman was not someone that was endeared by Aadhira. The girl was pure chaos in her eyes. Lady Aasenath Laila Varma was not a kind woman by any means. She hit Aadhira when she wasn't perfect enough for her pureblood standards. Aadhira grew colder, and more distant, and eventually when she was 10 years old, the girl left her home.
  
  Aasenath was pregnant with a little boy, and as such - Aadhira refused to be second best. She went to gringotts and found the whole lineage her other had left her. As such, she became Heiress Avalon (and if she passed the tests she would become Lady and Queen of Avalon) and emancipated to become Lady Varma. She was the eldest and therefore her father could not take her birthright away from her.
  She got a job in the Owl Emporium, helping take care of the critters since she adored creatures with such passion. At the end of the day, the girl would leave and meet up with her new friend: Ashryn Greengrass (who she met by running into her in the alley) and together they stayed at the Inn before recently, when Ashryn claimed her inheritance - they now live in the mansion on Bruny Island in Australia.
  

  Hogwarts Years

  Aadhira's first few years at Hogwarts were a bit weird, and she honestly adored every second of it. She took a decent 10 minutes to be sorted her first year, having a tough decision before her as she could have gone to either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. However, with her lineage and her eidetic memory - she chose Ravenclaw. Ashryn cheered for her the loudest and the duo were not often seen apart. However, her next few years went by in a flash.
  
  Aadhira quickly took to the class Care of Magical Creatures as a duck took to the water. She adored the class and you would almost always find her somewhere close to any magical creature writing in her notebook. Her years were calm, but most of the houses - due to her alliance and friendship with Ash, quickly steered clear of the Indian witch. Her heiress and ladyship rings gleamed on her right hand, and her father tried to send letters laced with compulsion charms to get her to relinquish her birthright to her new little brother - which the girl usually just allowed her gorgeous barn owl to get rid of the letters.

Tomblaine is a stubborn guy, with a bit of a reckless streak, but in general he's a charismatic, friendly guy. He has also struggled with a bit of a temper and possessive behaviors, but only when pushed to his breaking point. That said, He can be loud, which comes hand in hand with his excitable personality. He loves to meet new people and he’s fairly open to all sorts of different ideas and values.

Amara is the Hufflepuff that makes you wonder if sometimes the sorting hat get's it wrong. Most people would have sorted her into Ravenclaw due to her outward personality. Quiet, studious, and most of the time seemingly cold. She doesn't waste her time with things she considers to be frivolous. She's not particularly warm hearted, but she's not rude or disrespectful. She will simply avoid you if she has nothing positive to say to or about you. Honestly her first few years at Hogwarts she was basically invisible except being known as the younger sister of the former Quidditch captain for Hufflepuff. For the most part she also does nothing to change this outlook people have of her. It's made her hate gossips from hearing the way people make up stories and stereotypes in their minds about her, but she's not in the business of changing the minds of (in her eyes) the ignorant.

However that's just her on the surface.

People who have earned her trust and loyalty know that there is a completely different side to Amara that is fiercely loyal, kind, and passionate. She studies so hard not for herself and just the enjoyment of it, but to be able to help or protect those dear to her if a time ever arises for it. She is one of the most diligent, and hardworking students in her house of her year. Her heart is dangerously soft which is why her walls are so high to protect it. The thought of being betrayed by those close to her is her biggest fear. She knows the society they live in and how allegiances can sometimes change due to what's more advantageous to someone. She doesn't like those types of bonds or ties and does her best to avoid them. If she forms a bond she wants it to be real and unyielding which is why it has to be hard earned.

She can be blunt especially to those she doesn't care for feeling like if it's the truth then it's better to rip it off like a band-aid then tip-toe around. The only time her gentleness is on display is when she dances or flies. Her sister tried very hard to get her to join the team, but due to her distain for sports, loud, and rowdy places and people it was never going to be a good fit so she always declined. There isn't much outside of that however she wouldn't have done for her sister. Who knows perhaps this will be the year things change and the inner Amara get's to shine?

Backstory:
The Jones are a pureblood family but they aren't particularly high on the hierarchy beyond that. They are a good, safe, respectable choice when deciding on a marriage. They can't advance your name, but they can protect it due to their values, and blood status. Because of this Amara has always known she will be in some sort of arranged marriage. Her parents are lenient enough to give her some say, but their are of course requirements. They however don't worry much about Amara as she has always known and played her role. It was her older sister that was the firecracker, and would leave chaos in her wake. She was the one all her families effort of control had to be implemented on. With a sister like that it was easy to fade into the background. She was never resentful of this, in fact she loves her sister dearly. There is no one on this planet she loves more then her sister and is inspired by despite them being complete opposites.

Amara's parent's are not in love, however the are amicable enough because neither of them are particularly cruel. Their less desirable traits tended to only be unleashed on her older sister Jasmine for not falling in line and making the Name Jones look bad. This is put pressure on Amara to always be the shining light of the family and it's prized jewel despite being second born. She had to clean up the messes her sister made. She often tried to spare her sister by cooling her parents tempers towards her, but of course this didn't always work. Still she never stopped because of the love she had for her sister. She would take all the pressure, all the scrutiny of having to live under their parents microscope if it meant her sister got to live freely as herself as much as she could. She secretly admired that greatly about her sister. The willingness to put herself out there even if it hurt...foolish, but admirable.

Amara grew to feel like a caged bird, but it was a cage of her own creation, so she accepted it. Going to Hogwarts only intensified these feelings. Suddenly she was constantly around her peers instead of just around them for special events. She acted befitting her family name and title, but she noticed that quite a few students choose to see Hogwarts as a chance to live a way different then their family thumb and explore a bit more. She didn't see the point in this due to knowing they were only here 7 years, and it was 7 years to prepare for real life not to waste on fantasy. Her lack of speaking up made it easy for others to start putting labels on her; shy, weird, stuck-up, know-it-all. People who have never said two words to her for some reason felt like they knew her like the back of their hands. It hurt at first, but then with time she realized. These people didn't even know themselves, or the people they did speak to. Due to largely being ignored her first year heard a lot, not because she has superb hearing naturally, but because of the fact that rather than talking she’s actually listening to people and paying attention to her surroundings. She’s not just hearing the world she’s listening to it. She hears things that helps from time to time but most often she hears things that hurt. She’s heard lies, she’s heard betrayal, and she’s heard heartache and pain. It's hard to truly trust and believe in a world like this, so she only trusted her sister.

As time passed there were a few (some very unlikely) friends she made along the way. Her reputation never truly changed, and she's ok with that. It keeps uninteresting and gullible people away. Her 5th year things changed as it was the first year without her sister there. People started noticing her more oddly enough. She wasn't sure if it was due to her appearance finally filling out, or it just being that time where you have to start to take notice of ALL possibilities and she was certainly one regardless of her personality. Her 6th year her sister was married off to a wizarding family in France which was expected, but it didn't make Jasmine any happier. She writes all the time about how boring her husband is which was probably on purpose to calm her down. But now she is of age, and has to seriously think about this upcoming year, and how she will spend it.

Personality:
Emma Vanity is someone who chooses to stick to the last name that was given to her. She’s quite proud of her appearance, taking pride in that from a young age much to her mothers approval. After all, if she wasn’t comfortable in the way that she looked then she wouldn’t be able to carry herself with the attitude needed in order to be the best. She needed to be to make her parents proud. She’s vain because she prides herself in her beauty and talents more then anyone else. Backstory:
The Vanity family is a powerful family. Not as old and powerful as the Malfoys or Lestrange's, but still high in the hierarchy of society. Her mother was arranged to her father because of her beauty and the Vanities were known for their beauty standards and riches more so then literal strength or sorcery poweress. This is one of the few things Onyx feels like she has upgraded with her family name because she is both beautiful and strong. Not in her studies (she's average there) but in physical athletic power. Despite her small frame she is a powerhouse which is why she was able to become the Slytherin Quidditch team captain last year.

Her parents have no love for one another and honestly hardly speak to one another unless they are in public. In their home they mostly interact via indirect communication or through Onyx. They love the lifestyle they live more then anything else, including their daughter. Onyx has no doubt if she were to fall from grace she would be immediately tossed aside and disowned, so even though she is fighting back against a loveless marriage she is smart enough to know how much she can push and when. She knows better then to cross any serious lines with them, because truth be told she also loves the lifestyle they live. It's the only one she's ever known.

She grew up around her cousins the Jones, but once they got to school she disassociated quickly in favor of more promising and advantageous friendships and alliances. However the moment she learned about Legilimens in class she was curious about it's opposite. If she could study how to keep anyone out of her head, then she could think whatever she wanted whenever, and her true intentions would forever be hidden. It'd be much easier to keep her family out of her business over the summers. Also to be one step ahead of the rest you have to have a good poker face, and well being able to see into peoples minds seemed like a cheat around that. So she devoted herself to studying Occuluncy and potion making. Why potions? Because their utility was limitless. She might nit be the brightest student, or great with her wand in a duel, but with potions she didn't have to be. She started brewing whenever she wasn't on the pitch, and over the years has built up quite the collection that she keeps stored secretly. She's had to "borrow" ingredients from time to time from the school, so even the staff is unaware of her 2nd favorite pass time.

Now in her final year she is having to cool her other passions and focus on what life after Hogwarts will look like, more specifically where her final place in society will be. Her parents have grown impatient with her, and she is running out of time to prove she can find a match for herself that she both likes, and comes from the right cloth. While she's had fun flirting the past few years, she's never taken someone serious. No one has earned that place beside her yet in her mind.

- He does as the law says because that's the code and traditions of this world. sure he might have different internal thoughts, but a world without order is chaos and that's not safe for most people. So he will do what is required.
Personality:
Gar does not consider himself to be outstanding in any sense of the word. In fact he considers himself to be painfully dull because he is what's expected of him rather then anything special or outstanding. He's intelligent sure, but so is most of his house. He's kind, but only the cruel would think that's some kind of special personality trait. He's not bleeding with kindness to the point that he'd help someone else even if it hurt him in the process. That's just silly. In order to help others you have to be solid yourself or else you'll be drained and unable to help anyone else. He's not interested in sports, but he keeps up just enough to be socially relevant when the topic arises. Just your average background Ravenclaw with a very good family name.

In fact that's partially why he's not worried about being to painfully average. It's not like no one will have him when the time comes. He's a decent guy, with a famous last name. He's treated well in most social circles despite not being considered elite because his fame comes not from his blood, but instead his families trade and the monopoly they have on it. Anyone who is anyone get's a wand from them, any place else is subpar.

Which is why wand lore, making, and magic is one of the only things he is passionate about, even though he rarely speaks about it to those outside of his family for many reasons. The other thing about him that is exceptional, but he doesn't really think so and so he rarely shares it is writing. He has quite the creative mind and is excellent at writing poems, songs, and even composing music. His lyrical poweress only shows in written form as he doesn't speak as eloquently as he writes.   Most take one look at Viscount Darcy and make an assumption about what kind of young man he is. It’s easy to see a handsome face and make assumptions—especially when those assumptions, more often than not, turn out to be true. Liam, however, defies most stereotypes. He doesn’t concern himself with what others think of him since he quite frankly couldn’t care less. Not because he’s a careless or antisocial person but because he sees no point in impressing people for meaningless and superficial reasons. Having to juggle both his final year at Hogwarts and the burden of recently becoming the head of his family, Liam has too much on his plate to be interested in other people’s scandals and rumours, though that is not to say he doesn’t still notice and accidentally end up involved in more things than he’d like.
  
  He believes that knowledge equates to power, his impressively sharp mind being one of his greatest assets. Though being smart is always a virtue, he often relies a little too much on rationality and research when it comes to problem-solving, even if he is aware that there’s value in subjectivity too. Liam’s intelligence is one of the things that landed him in Ravenclaw, usually so focused on his goals that its hard to sway him with external distractions.
  
  Despite his lack of interest in most strangers, Liam possesses a sense of chivalry and genuineness that manifests in his interactions with those that do manage to catch his selective attention. He feels deeply for those that find themselves in his circle of friends, willing to go to great lengths to protect and support them to the best of his ability. Still, Liam can be discerning in his affections, choosing to invest his time and energy only in those who have either proven themselves worthy of it or caught his eye.
  
  There are certain topics and types of people that Liam finds a little hard to ignore, but not for good reason. Far from being a people-pleaser, Liam has no interest in social validation but his actions suggest that he values meaningful connections more than he values objectivity—he is very willing to sacrifice himself for someone or something that he loves.

  The Darcys are noble and prominent members of the pureblood wizarding community, known for both their wealth and status. They hold a rare perspective despite their privileged position, showing compassion for the less fortunate and harbouring an acceptance for half-bloods unlike most of their pureblood peers. This outlook stemmed from Liam's father, William I, who harboured a secret fascination with muggles since his youth. Eleanor, Liam's mother, admired her husband's open-mindedness rather than shunning him for being a blood-traitor and eventually developed similar beliefs.
  
  William and Eleanor shared a genuine bond, having grown up as childhood friends in an affluent neighbourhood. Their love was a rare gem in the often formal and rigid world of high wizarding society. William II, their firstborn son, (always referred to as Liam by everyone that knows him) grew up surrounded by their affection alongside his six younger siblings whom he cherished deeply.
  
  Having parents like William and Eleanor Darcy, when Liam’s friends spoke of having parents who either hated each other, tolerated each other, or "luckily" liked each other, he initially thought they were joking. When he realised that what his parents had was truly rare in high wizarding society, he vowed to himself to only ever marry someone who he was deeply in love with.
  
  Tragedy struck the once-happy Darcy family when William I met his untimely demise nine months ago. The worst day of all of their lives began with an innocent family outing, visiting a friend of the family's estate to play Pall Mall without bringing their wands. That day, Liam had opted to stay in school to study for an upcoming Ancient Runes exam. When the sun had gone down and it was almost time for the Darcys to head back home, joy turned to horror when a distant scream came from the woods nearby.
  
  William, alongside Liam's younger brothers Henry and Anthony, rushed into the woods assuming that someone was in need of help, leaving Eleanor and the rest of the children to wait by the carriages. Their excursion into the nearby woods ended in tragedy when Henry and Anthony ran back to the rest of the family in tears, frantically recounting exactly what had happened in the woods. Instead of an injured wizard in need of help, they found a vampire—a look of thirst in its crazed eyes that were as black as night. William, valiant and protective as ever, stayed behind to delay the threat, sacrificing himself to ensure that Henry and Anthony could make it out of the woods alive. By the time they found his lifeless body, it was entirely drained of blood.
  
  The loss of William I was absolutely devastating for the Darcy family. Eleanor's grief was so profound that it consumed her, leaving her withdrawn and inconsolable. Nine months later, with Liam now back at Hogwarts, his youngest siblings are having to be raised by the maids and nanny that live on the estate while Eleanor remains in her bedroom with the curtains permanently drawn and the door always closed.
  
  In the wake of his father's death, Liam became a Viscount when he was only sixteen years old, having the burdensome role of the head of the family unexpectedly thrust upon him despite still having to finish school.
  
  Liam blames himself for not being there that day to defend his family and fight alongside his father, believing that if he had been there he would have been able to save him. He also hates not being there for his mother and younger siblings in their greatest time of need, having to return to his studies at Hogwarts when he entered his seventh year so that he could follow in his late father's footsteps and take over the hospital. He found that burying himself in work was the easiest way to take his mind off what happened that day, vowing to become the son and doctor that William I would have been proud to see.

Professor Ravenscroft is known for his rigorous and often demanding teaching style. He believes in pushing his students to their limits to prepare them for the real dangers of dark magic. His classes are a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, with a strong emphasis on critical thinking and quick decision-making under pressure.

He frequently puts students in mock battles. The students are divided into teams or "armies" led by "generals", selected from the students for their efficiency and pragmatism. The armies fight each other with stunning spells and must use both strategy and tactics to win.

Even though she never was a perfect (Amara’s grades made her the perfect choice), many of the younger students still come to her for help--seeing her as the warm counterpart to Amara’s cold demeanor. Family: The Bones have been intertwined with the Justice system of Britain since the beginning of the Ministry of Magic. Each member works in the department of Magical Law enforcement before settling down with children to participate in the Wizgemont. Law and Order make up the family of predominantly Hufflepuffs. They expect the truth and know when they don’t get it.
Backstory: Theresia can’t wait to be a mother. When she was eight, her mother got pregnant with twins. Though, of course, they had a nanny-elf, as was proper, the elder girl snuck in often to play with them. She joined in explaining their lessons as they grew and was heartbroken when she had to leave them for Hogwarts.

But more changed for her when she was eight. Her father, planning to continue the tradition of Bones joining the Magical Law Enforcement, began to teach her to fight. In short, she hated it. The sweat, the effort, getting hit by her father’s stingers. In defense from the latter, she learned to shield quickly. Or dodge, but that just made her more sweaty. He didn’t even let her change out of her skirts!

Still, she did not want to disappoint her family. As a concession, they agreed to let her become a healer, who would work adjacent to the MLE. Her mother mentioned the possibility off hand, as Theresia healed herself after one of her father’s lessons, and the young girl latched onto the chance. She enjoys the magic of putting people back together. Taking lessons from the school nurse in preparation, Hufflepuffs and friends know not to hide any injury from her. It’s like she can read your mind if you do.

  Ezekiel has a pet mouse named Benvolio and a rabbit back at home named Juliette. He also has a horse named Mercutio that lives at home with his brothers' horses. If you ever see an orange fox with black paws and a white chest anywhere in or around Hogwarts, there is a high possibility that it's Ezekiel himself, as he is an Animagus. He often uses this ability to skip classes or evade getting into trouble when he ends up somewhere he shouldn’t be.

  Ezekiel knows that his parents don’t love each other so he isn’t entirely certain what the future holds, but he hopes to marry someone that he loves regardless of status. It is undiagnosed because of the era, but Ezekiel has ADHD—this is the main reason he struggles to focus on things that fail to interest him, often getting distracted and losing interest in the task at hand. He doesn't agree with his parents' pureblood supremacy—he found out that the nanny who raised him was a Half-blood and he kept her secret ever since.

Ezekiel Nightingale Prince was Darius and Evangeline's third born son, younger brother to Dorian and Sebastian. Darius Prince never did bother acting like a loving father towards his children. He was cold and strict to his eldest, Sebastian, to teach him about the power of apathy and the importance of resilience. He was arguably even colder to his second born son, Dorian, who was far too occupied with emotions and impulsivity to be of any worth to him—that was until Dorian learned the art of manipulation and Darius finally saw the potential in him.
  
  Still favouring Sebastian who had turned himself from an empathetic boy into a stone-faced man in accordance with his father’s teachings, Darius had little time for his other children. Ezekiel barely knew his father at all growing up—he was always away somewhere on business or training up his eldest to be a “worthy heir” to the House of Prince and family business. Part of Ezekiel wondered if his father even recalled some of his youngest daughters' names, already having made it clear that they were to be married off to pureblood nobility when they’re of age to better the family’s position in society. The other part of Ezekiel, on the other hand, was overjoyed to be distant to his father, since the man didn’t seem that enjoyable to be around in the first place.
  
  Though he was still expected to uphold the family name in public, being the third born child, his father’s lack of interest in him meant that he had a lot more freedom than Sebastian did growing up. He was primarily raised by the nanny and his mother anyway who, though still relatively strict and elitist, did care about all of her children. It wasn’t enough care for her to take up issue with her husband’s ways, tending to go along with his word in most situations, but she still gave subtle gestures of comfort to her children whenever they really needed it as her way of letting them know that she loved them. The nanny, on the other hand, was even more of a mother to Ezekiel than Evangeline ever was, even taking the blame for a few smashed vases so as to protect Ezekiel and his siblings from harsh punishment.
  
  It was clear to Ezekiel from a young age that his father thought of him as a disappointment if he even thought of him at all, but like many other things, he preferred not to dwell on it, instead trying to focus on the fun and positive parts of life until its his turn to inevitably start thinking about the future. This way of coping is what keeps a smile on his face, keeping his friends close to his heart in the absence of his father.

Born into the pureblood wizarding family, Ceridwen was born to two very loving parents, but unfortunately due to the maledictus curse, her mother was taken from her a few short years after she was born. Turning into a peacock and her father had bought a farm to take care of her mom. Ceridwen wasn’t told anything about this curse, just thinking her mother was off someplace till the year she went to Hogwarts. So when she was 11 she finally knew why they had a peacock at home and that she would face the same fate one day. Due to it being in the female line of her family. They didn’t know the animal yet as she didn’t have any transformations yet. She knew that she only had so many before she would fully turn anyway and throught her time at Hogwarts, She researched as much as she could about it. Her father didn’t try to set her up for marriage to not torture anyone else with the fate of loosing anyone. Ceridwen , honestly didn’t mind as she didn’t wish to be a burden on anyone.

She she would be forever a spinster and that was fine with her. Her love for magical creatures only growing as she aged and grew. After graduating from Hogwarts, she decided to go into magizoology. Where she found her passion and a few short years after hogwarts. The maledictus curse began it’s ugly path, her first transformation happened on a dig. Though it wasn’t just some normal animal like most woman who faced the maledictus curse. She turned into a unicorn. That was unexpected and she didn’t know how to feel. Unicorns lived long long lives as well…..She would be around for a very long time. Which she found sad but interesting. But before she graduated from an internship, she got the call that her mother in peacock form had passed away. And to not torture her father with more painful news told him nothing about her transformation. She came home to visit with him but he somehow only made it a few days past his wife from some unknown illness.


She was sad and fell into a slight sad spell for a time. But she decided to dedicate what time she had left to being a magizoologist to leave a legacy behind so she could always be remembered and be a world famous magizoologist. Writing several books and papers to add to the study of many amazing magical creatures. She spent a good long 9 years of research and writing on this before things had started to become not so great. The transformations having become more frequent due to dangerous situations and her humanity slowly fading the more and more she transformed and it had gotten to the point, where she started to have issues with being on studys and even writing properly. So Ceridwen was forced into an early retirement from her magizoology studies.


But only a few short months after her early retirement, She had gotten an owl about teaching Care of Magical Creatures at Hogwarts. She was hesitant at first. Not wanting her condition to become public knowledge and not knowing how much she could actually commit to being a professor which her declining humanity and the curse starting to become more and more prevalent. So Ceridwen decided to make the journey to meet this new Head Master and discuss in person. Letting him on about her condition and the probably short tenure she could add as a professor but she eventually was persuaded to take on the position and that is where she had been for the past 3 years. Hoping none of the students would catch on.

  Description

  Damian doesn't believe he has the right to think of animals as pets, rather considering them to be equals or extensions of the family. Having lived amongst Muggles for a large portion of his life, Damian prefers to ride a trusty steed called Björn over riding his broomstick, taking the loyal horse with him when he returned to England. Many other pureblood wizards look down on him for preferring such a Muggle-like, longer form of travel over magic. As a werewolf, his white mane and piercing yellow eyes remain.

  Born into one of the most respected wizarding families in England, for the first two decades of his life, Damian Bridgerton had everything a man could ask for: status and respect; love and humanity. He was even engaged to Clementine Dumbledoor, a woman he thought he was lucky enough to consider the love of his life. All that changed when he was twenty-one. It was six weeks before the wedding, to be exact. As fate would cruelly have it, one night Damian found himself face-to-face with a large and angry wolf. Though he managed to successfully fight it off without being fatally injured, he was left with a set of deep claw marks across his chest, the scars a haunting reminder of the encounter.
  
  When he told his family about it, they pretended not to be concerned—they had to. “It’ll be fine. Do not speak of this to anyone.” his mother told him, even convincing herself that it can't have been a werewolf. When the next full moon came around, they very quickly found out that it wasn’t fine at all… Not in the slightest. His family were absolutely bewildered when he returned the next morning, dirt and blood on his hands and face—his clothes a distant memory. His mother, Frida, fainted within seconds just at the sight of him. For the Bridgertons, this was more than just a problem. Their status in the Wizarding world had been high since the beginning of time, but having a wild beast in the family would put them at great risk of losing that—who knows what people might think?
  
  His parents urged him to call the wedding off at once, the embarrassment of a failed engagement being better than his secret getting out. Damian loved Clementine too much to leave her without an explanation: instead, he wanted his parents to see that she’d never betray him or tell anyone about the secret. He took the risk of going behind his parents’ back and decided to tell her absolutely everything that had happened. He was right about the fact that she would keep his secret, but he didn’t foresee that she would break things off with him instead. You see, no matter how much she felt for him, it didn’t change the fact that him being a werewolf put her entire family at risk—she loved him as a man, but she still couldn’t marry a beast, let alone have children with one. He returned home with a shattered heart, defeatedly telling his family that they got what they wished for.
  
  The next full moon, the family stayed at one of their many holiday houses while Damian stayed at home, all four of his limbs tied to his bed behind locked doors and a boarded up window. Unfortunately, rope tied to wood was no match for the strength of a werewolf—nor were a few simple door locks and a flimsy board of wood. He got out again, forced to do the clothless walk of shame back to the house in the morning after waking up in a forest. It was clear to the Bridgertons that Damian’s lycanthropy was a huge risk to the family, and the longer he stayed there the sooner someone could’ve found out.
  
  Albert and Frida decided that they had no choice but to send him to Sweden, his mother’s homeland, to prevent people finding out about his lycanthropy. The Bridgertons simply couldn’t afford to lose everything they had built. In Sweden, there was a place called “Skymnings Anstalten” or “The Twilight Institution” that claimed to know all about lycanthropy, including how to treat and eventually cure it. He didn’t have much of a choice in the first place, but after losing Clementine, the idea of leaving the country didn’t sound so bad. He was a beast after all, according to all of his loved ones. If the Institution was as competent as they said they were, he’d be back in England in no time, cured and fit to marry.
  
  Unfortunately for everyone, The Twilight Institution was not exactly as advertised. Sure, they knew far more about lycanthropy than the average muggle or wizard did and were able to teach him the ins and outs of the curse but, they failed to mention the fact that the Institution was entirely run by mad scientists. They claimed to want the best for their patients, but in reality, they didn’t even consider werewolves to be human.
  
  Behind closed doors, torturous and brutal experiments were carried out on each patient for hours at a time, filling the innermost corridors with screams. The so-called “cure” they talked of hadn’t yet been successful but Dr. Larsson, the head doctor at the Institute, always believed he was on the verge of a breakthrough. His methods were far from ethical, proving how desperate the man was to be the first doctor in the world to create a cure. It was during his time in hell that an experiment permanently changed Damian’s eye colour from ocean blue to yellow, mirroring the same piercing yellow eyes he always had in wolf form.
  
  On the bright side, his time living amongst the other patients—muggles, wizards, noblemen and peasants alike—allowed Damian to befriend a diverse array of people he usually wouldn’t have been able to. For once, his friends didn’t care how much status or money he had. At the Institution, you were either a doctor or a patient and nothing else mattered. He found himself resenting his parents who had sent him there and failed to return a single letter since, growing more and more distant from his life of nobility with each passing day.
  
  Though the torture he endured in the name of “being cured” was monstrous, he’d grown used to it over the years. While he was a resilient man who learned to simply deal with it, six years into his time at the Institution, Damian saw that one of the newest patients appeared to be no older than nine. The thought of a child being in a place like that was unbearable to him, and he knew he had to do something. He’d been using his mother’s maiden name for a little more anonymity during his time in Sweden, but after seeing that little girl leaving one of the “treatment” rooms, his decision was final.
  
  Damian demanded a meeting with Doctor Larsson at once, but he did not come empty handed. Larsson was a greedy man posing as a saint who pretended to care about his patients when all he really cared about was lining his pockets. There were many men like that back in England, and Damian knew exactly how to deal with them. Finally revealing that he was Damian Bridgerton, the family name holding weight in most European countries, he wrote out an extremely large check to Dr. Larsson under the condition that the Twilight Institution would close its doors for eternity. If he dared work in the field of science again, he would become a mortal enemy of the Bridgertons. He hated paying off a man that didn’t deserve it, but he’d been right about the doctor’s shameless greed and so it worked in his favour.
  
  After the Twilight Institution closed, surprisingly, home was the last place that Damian wanted to go. Thanks to his parents who seemingly cared more about public opinion than their own kin, he wasn’t the same man he was six years prior, nor did he want to be. Having trauma-bonded with a number of other werewolves who he now considered his family, Damian moved in with a close friend of his who happened to be a muggle. There, he worked as an apprentice blacksmith for eleven months, unfortunately having spent all the money he brought with him when he paid off Larsson.
  
  Not wanting to burden his friend’s relatives for any longer than he needed to, Damian successfully applied for the job of Groundskeeper at the Durmstrang Institute, the wizarding school in Sweden. He spent his first four years at Durmstrang living in a cottage on the school grounds as he enjoyed his peaceful new career. After filling in as a substitute Defence Against the Dark Arts professor for a year and surprisingly not hating it, he then received the offer of a promotion and worked another four years as Durmstrang’s Care of Magical Creatures professor, enjoying every moment of it greatly.
  
  Working in the public eye allowed his parents to finally find out that he was now residing elsewhere. He was sent a letter by his father who seemed just as begrudged as him for how little they had communicated in the last decade, making it apparent that the Twilight Institution had been throwing all letters to and from patients away. They had tried and failed to reach him all along. Damian still thought that if they wanted to find him badly enough they could have come to Sweden to do so and discovered that The Twilight Institution was no more, but he held his tongue, still realising that they hadn’t purposely abandoned him.
  
  After exchanging a series of letters by owl, Damian’s father told him that he was retiring and wanted Damian to fill his shoes as the Headmaster of Hogwarts now he was qualified and able to ensure that he wouldn’t escape during full moons. To Damian, the proposal sounded awful. Sweden was his home now, and the idea of mountains of paperwork on top of running an entire school wasn’t appealing. As the Care of Magical Creatures professor, he could at least spend most of his time outside doing something he enjoyed. His father offered a deal—if he agreed to return to England and become Headmaster so that the school stayed in the family, the Bridgertons would ensure that all of Damian’s working class friends would never have to worry about food or money again, even the muggle ones. At age thirty-six, fifteen years after leaving England, Damian returned home.
