History:
- The al-Basrah family was a well-known family in Amsterdam, Netherlands, for running financial funds for the government, working under and for them. Theresa's family owned one of the biggest banks in Cairo, Egypt.
- The bank of only consisted of money but also gold and diamond.
- They were conned and became bankrupt. Due to this mishap, the al-Basrah became fugitives of the government, even though they had nothing to do with stealing the gold or diamond. Nevertheless, because they lost the money that would help keep the country afloat, they were considered no better than the people who robbed them.
- At the age of 16, Theresa and her family fled to Egypt where they knew they could stay under the radar thanks to her Father's connection as one of the religious and forgiving man. The family were very religious and despite being accused of such treason, the family couldn't bear a grudge. They were angry, but angry only for being so naive and stupid for being too honest and idiotic for letting the gold and diamond get taken under their eyes.
- Life in Egypt was hard, they lost everything. They were poor in Egypt and their sponsor only helped them until they couldn't anymore. As grateful as they were, they knew they had to find a job, but not being able to give a proper job resume, they had to take menial task and work.
- After a year of suffering, Theresa couldn't stand to see her parents so... so not them. They were always tired, always drained, and rarely ever together anymore. To stop it, Theresa found herself being recruited at the age of 17 to being one of the leading ladies at a "club".
