Regular OOC chat is here this is also where we are going to be rolling the dice.
The idea thread where we collab is here (All members of this rp, please take the time to look at this occasionally because sometimes important decisions will need to be made and they will only be posted here. So please look and help form this rp into what you would like to rp.)
Okay, so we will be rolling the dice in the OOC thread. You will post what you are throwing the dice for, and then you will actually throw them.
Health Points (HP): To get your starter HP you will roll the dice three times and the total number is your HP, if you want to add onto your HP you will need to earn skill points (SP). More on SP later.
SP: You get 1 SP for every creature you kill. Another way is when your character does something amazing (this way needs to be fleshed out a bit more as well as other ways you get SP.)
As you play, you will encounter zombies and other creatures that will want to kill you. If your character is using a weapon that (he/she) is not familiar with, for instance, a gun or any other type of weapon, you will first roll one dice to try and get a 6. You may use your skill points to try and get to that six. If you do not, then your attack misses. If you do, then you will roll the dice once more to see how much damage your attack caused to the creature.
Then, you will roll to see if the creature's attack hits or misses you. They get no skill points and they have to roll an exact six before they actually hit you. If they do attack you, then you will roll one dice for damage. When your HP goes to zero or below, your dead. You may ask someone in the group to heal you or you can try and heal yourself.
If you or the person you ask try to heal you and they do not have a skill in healing, you will have to roll one die, and you can add your skill points to your roll to help. If you roll a six or higher, you succeeded and you can gain all your hit points back.
If you or someone you ask is trained in healing, then you automatically get all your HP back.
You may not ask for healing when you are in a fight.
Any skill related tasks, like fixing things, will require the same thing as above. If somethings broke and someone has the skill to fix it, then it's fixed. If someone tries to fix something and they aren't skilled, they will have to roll and see if they fix it or just ask that person that is trained to fix it. I think you guys get the point.
At the end of every post, you must put how many hit points and skill points you have starting now!
Everyone starts out with 2 skill points.
If you use skill points to help dice rolls, they recycle and you can use them again. However, if you use skill points to boost your max HP, that is permanent and you do not get those skill points back. For instance, if I have 8 HP and 2 SP and I use the 2 SP to make my 10 HP, my current stats are: 10 HP 0 SP
Melody sighed softly as she stood at the counter. It was yet another slow day at work. Despite the fact she lived in a relatively small town, there weren't a lot of people coming in all day thanks to a super market opening up just a mile or two down the road that had better prices. The only reason people knew about this place was because of the university their town had which was the only reason worth coming here. So, because of that, there were a decent amount of people in this town, but they all preferred the cheaper prices of the super market, especially compared to the prices it cost to attend their University.
Melody didn't mind though, after all, to her, it seemed like she got paid to read her book and that was just fine by her. She had just finished a chapter when she heard a scream and the glass doors to the store shattered. Looking up to see what was going on, she saw...something. She didn't even know how to describe it. It looked anything but human and it made these weird clicking noises with it's mouth. She screamed and it's head snapped to her almost immediately. Luckily, there was a hidden gun in the counter for protection and she grabbed at it and shot at it. People were screaming and running away, and she seemed to only make the thing even angrier as she had missed. It came at her and she shot again, getting lucky this time and getting in a head shot.
