The people say Erelloth began with the world. The land known as Erelloth has always been Erelloth. For hundreds of years, Erelloth had been one, living peacefully under the rule of their king, who rules all four provinces within Erelloth. The sun had been rising and setting as it always has, and the moon would come to greet the people each night. Life was hard for the common folk, but it's always been hard. The wealthy were happy, as they always have been, entertaining themselves with political squabbles and gossip.

But then the Astridians attacked.

Underneath the calm exterior of Erelloth, the race known as the Astridians had silently been growing angrier and angrier. Unlike the Nordic folk of Erelloth- the nords make up more than half of Erelloth's population- they were polytheistic, and the ancient texts of their gods lead them to believe that the Astridians were settled in Erelloth before the Nords. However, the Astridians were a minority in Erelloth. Most Astridians were settled on the islands south of Erelloth, but many had migrated to Erelloth once the belief that Erelloth had once belonged to the Astridians spread. Erelloth is an extremely desirable land, rich in natural resources and steeped with culture. The Astridians wanted Erelloth, and they would do anything to take it. The first battle began in the High King's own home, where an Astridian servant made an assasination attempt during a feast. Thankfully, the Astridian did not succeed, but that lit the kindling of war, and the Nords are angry.

War has begun. The Nords and all races sympathetic to their cause have been battling against the Astridians and their allies for ten years now, and all the war has served to do is drain Erelloth and its people of their money and their happiness.

Unseen by the common people of Erelloth, an ancient evil has awoken. Dragons are reappearing for the first time in centuries, and have begun to attack. Meanwhile, the King's crown has gone missing, and so has his Queen. With the kingdom split in two, who can pull the pieces together to save Erelloth?
