. sorry to hear about your experiences with those blogs. i'd cite some sites i know but i don't know if it would mess with the site rules (like the one that says "advertising for personal gain" or whatever)
for now i suggest you look through the rpnation forums regularly, as new roleplayers, ideas, and threads always show up as time passes. if you're already doing that, a manual search for roleplay sites on a search engine will show some sites with potential you can view and join if your interest has been piqued. most of my suggestions would come from those, too.
