yup! shitty poetry. gotta love it.

 

[dazzling]

Is it day or night? I can't tell
The hazy lights casting a delicate spell
Your gentle arms wrap around mine,
With the warmth of a star's bright gleam

Is this love? I can't tell
The melodious ringing of a bell
Is this what it seems?
Moonlight wakes me from my perfect dream

I gave it all
The writings on the wall
Bittersweet words cutting like a sword
All the paradise we never explored

Could've I have seen
Perfect storm, perfect scene
Broken halo scattered around
Pieces of our shattered crown

We were slipping on the cracking ice
Was all of it really worth the price?
Faded memories of bliss
Just wishing I could save your kiss

A small fragment brings me back,
A reminder that I'm on the right track
Just a little positivity,
Mixed with my morning tea.

Lol I get that. Sometimes I come up with a fragment of something. I hadn't read poetry for good while until I stumbled across your post, and then it got me to try writing a bit more. I actually came up with 2-3 stanzas in a ballad style and started writing them out in a thread (since I was already on the site anyways) but accidentally exited out without saving it or copypasting it somewhere! I might rewrite it on paper or something, flesh it out, and post it in a thread.
