WEEKENDS / FREE
on Saturday and Sunday, students are generally allowed to
roam around as they please and with little to no interference
of staff or administrators. school rules must still be followed
while on campus, but everything in general is a lot more lax
and you may come and go as you please. usually laurel ridge
will hold some sort of event to keep students busy or entertained,
but attending or participating is completely optional. the only
boundaries set in place on the weekend is that students must
be back on campus by 7 in the evening and lights out is at
midnight. field trips can sometimes be taken over the weekend,
and students are free to assemble small road trips or mini-vacations
with one of their classes or clubs or perhaps a group of friends. this
is the ideal time to visit family, run errands, and accomplish other tasks
that might otherwise be difficult. of course, this is also the period of time
where different clubs and associations within the school hold booths or
concession stands in the Gilmore before sports or competitions.
