❖ Elgok ❖

Basics
Elgok are an alien species, native to the planet Hunj. They have sharp claw-like nails and two head tentacles. Their skin is covered by tiny scales, fur, and feathers. They have a long arrow-shaped tail. They have two pairs of eyes, one in the front of their head, and one on the sides of their head. Their skin is usually red or blue, but sometimes there are albino Elgok. They often have pale patterns decorating their body. They communicate verbally, and they are omnivores. The average Elgok adult is 5.9-6.3 feet tall. Their lifespan is unknown by most.

Culture
The Elgok are a somewhat aggressive people. Their previous ruler was an emperor, conquering planets and lands as he went. Once he became cruel to his own people, they struck back. Because of this, they don’t particularly like outsiders, and their nationalism is strongly based upon their self-sufficiency. They need little help from others because the conquering period drastically improved living conditions everywhere. Their military is large and well-trained, their farmland is irrigated and yields a good crop, many more houses were built for the poor and the needy. One of their only ties to the outside is a trade market and a peace treaty with the Uallex.

Environment
Most of Hunj is ravaged by storms, so many people have build up walls and systems to keep their land and buildings safe from the wind. Rain on Hunj isn’t water, though. It’s liquid bromine. To a human, bromine is corrosive to flesh, and the gas irritates the eyes and throat, but to an Elgok, it affects them as much as water does humans. When the droplets hit the ground, they evaporate immediately, creating a foggy cloud of bromine gas on the ground.

Clothing
The Elgok’s casual outfit consists of form-fitting clothes with a cloak-type garment over it. The outfit can range from something simple and sleek to something fancy and elaborate.

Gender
The Elgok do have gender, but they don’t regard it often. They don’t think of it as a largely important idea in any form except for medical and cerebral reasons. For this reason, female Elgok are given the exact same treatment, opportunities, and pay as male Elgok.

Religion
Most Elgoks follow the Church of the Eight Divines. The Church of the Eight Divines teaches that there are eight divine deities that rule over the cosmos. Each divine rules over a different aspect of consciousness. There is Animo, the divine of will, Meditati, the divine of imagination, Viribus, the divine of power, Amare, the divine of love, Liber, the divine of wisdom, Statera, the divine of order, Vita, the divine of life, and Deicio, the divine of death. Each follower of the Church of the Eight Divines worships one of the divines informally, but on the third day of each month, the holy day, they worship all of the divines together. You are only supposed to worship one of the divines because it is considered to be manipulative if you try to appease all the divines all the time.

Reproduction and Romance
The Elgok reproduce with external fertilization. Every female Elgok, sometime in her life, produces an egg. This egg is small, about the size of a baseball. It is just a shell, a home for a potential baby. If the Elgok doesn’t want a baby, she can just get rid of the egg. If she wants a baby, she finds a male Elgok. The male fertilizes the egg, and a baby starts growing in the egg.
As the baby grows, the egg does as well. It is believed that if you leave the egg outside until it hatches, the baby grows stronger, having to grow all while subject to the elements. Once the egg hatches, the baby crawls out.
When two Elgok want to marry each other, or Pruvia, as the Elgok call it, they each make a special wedding armor for the other one. This armor can be elaborate or simple. Once they have their armor, the two Elgok join hands in a ceremony and, if they are religious, are blessed by a priest. If they are not religious, then they join hands and are blessed by a government official.

Development
When an Elgok is first born, they have two small tentacles, about two inches in length. They don’t have any stripes on them, and they are very thin. Their entire body is a faint peachy color, and their blue or red spots start coming in when they are 1 year old. They don’t have any claws or feathers yet. They hatch with a full length, fully-maneuverable tail. Their tail usually moves by instinct, grabbing on to their parents and toys.
Here is what a toddler Elgok looks like.
The Elgok is fully grown in all aspects at 15 years old. They look like an adult and this is usually when the other Elgok in the society begin to refer to the Elgok as an adult.

Social
The Elgok are almost never hermits. They don’t ostracise any member of their society unless they are a threat to the society. The Elgok are a tightly knit community, all raising the children, all helping each other out. They have a very strong sense of pride in who they are and usually view others as not inferior to them but as intruders upon their lifestyle.

Diet
The Elgok are omnivores, eating both meat and plants. The following animals are common on Hunj.

(Forest Crab) Kazuri -Used for eating and their shell is used to make armor - Purple/blue/green, 2-3 feet long, kills with poisonous claws, eats slowly
(Deer) Briyu - Used for riding - Tan and blue/purple/green, tamed by Elgok, skittish if not tamed
(Night Dweller) Kolva - Used for eating and their tail light is used for lanterns - Good at hiding in daylight, dark colors, usually brown/blue
(Tree Dweller) Kolna - Used for hunting and using their poison for weapons - Bright colored fur, eats poisonous bugs, will poison whoever eats it if not drained of poison
(Giant Flying Thing) Cedrun - Used for nothing - Covered in wiry fur that picks up pollen, lives in hives up to 40 Cedruns, act like bees.

Hunj plants are usually close to the ground, built to weather the intense storms and wind. The following plants are common on Hunj.

Earea - Used for eating - Grows on rocks, releases gas from the roots to ward off predators, spikes to do the same, resembles cactus
Stycom - Used for eating - Red spikes protect the vulnerable part of the plant, leaves on the bottom get sunlight, very deep roots
Sylqi - Used for eating and their poison leaves are used for healing - Poisonous purple leaves surround water storage, if touched burns flesh, water inside spiky balls
Plougarf - Used for eating and their branches are used for firewood - Simple, common, short-lived plant, fruit on branches has seeds in it, animals eat fruit and distribute seeds
Sracal - Used for nothing (gas poisons Elgok) Gas from the inside of the plant can suffocate animals getting near, shallow roots
Klopsu - Used for eating - Different version of Sracal, spines protect middle pollen from predators, but don't do anything to Cedruns.

Kist Ra’om

Culture
The Kist Ra’om are suspicious of outsiders. This is an afterproduct of the The Black War, fought between the Bareus and the Kist Ra’om. The Bareus initially acted kind and friendly to the Kist Ra’om, trading with them and giving them tips on how to fish. But, once they had integrated their culture with the Kists’ enough, they attacked. The Kist Ra’om military is large, but not well trained. The soldiers in the army are basically used as human shields for the leaders and the well-trained soldiers. Their farming is done in jungles. They mainly farm plants that grow on trees and thrive in the rainforest. The Kist Ro’am’s capital is well-built and sheltered from almost any threat and is frequently called “The Dome” by outsiders and insiders alike. The cities and areas surrounding it are meek and don’t have enough protection from the government. The government doesn’t care about the smaller cities, they just want to improve their lifestyle.
Environment
Eblion is mainly a lush, green rainforest, although there is a mountainous area than follows a desert. Precipitation that occurs is a liquid called Mortus. It is a golden liquid that frequently falls in what humans would call “rain”. The name, Mortus, means death. It is harmless to all known species, but the name is meant to scare away outsiders.
Clothing
The people of Eblion outside the dome usually wear camouflage capes for hunting and fighting, and any clothes they can scavenge. Occasionally, when they can find it, they have armor made from Uletinum, favor tight clothing to prevent a opponent from grabbing onto a clothing item, and general combat wear. (here) The insiders usually wear luxurious gowns and suits. (here and here) The military's standard armor consists of sleek Uletinum armor, giving the impression of control.(here)
Gender
Like humans, the Kist have men and women. The women have higher foreheads, and a bigger bump on the back of their head. The women tend to have shorter and thicker tentacles, and they have softer and smoother skin than the men. The men tend to have longer and thinner tentacles than the women, and their spots show up around their eyes. The womens’ spots show up on their forehead.
Religion
The Kist Ra’om worship four gods. The gods are Maisha, the God of Life, Kifo, the God of Death, Nzuri, the God of Good, Uovu, the God of Evil. This religion is called Uleism. This religion is moderately small on Eblion. Most of the people that believe in this religion are wealthy and live inside the Dome. The outsiders frequently do not believe in any god.
Reproduction and Romance
The Kist reproduce with internal fertilization. The Kists’ reproduction strongly resembles that of a human’s. The Kist are pregnant for 7 months. When two Kist Ra’om want to marry each other, they each make each other a special memento that they wear at the wedding. Such as earrings, a bracelet, etc. At the wedding, the two Kist take vows and seal their marriage with a kiss. The weddings are usually officiated by a priest or a government official.
Development
When the Kist are born, they have many spots along their arms and legs, but they eventually fade away. Baby Kist have short tentacles which stick up from their head. Their skin is mostly one color, but later in life other colors like purple or pink may come up at the bottom of their tentacles and the ends of their fingers. The children also start out with light sclareas and they darken to blue, then purple, then black as they grow.
Diet
The Kist Ra’om are omnivores, meaning they eat meat and plants. These are some of the animals native to Eblion.

Uallex

Culture
The Uallex are closed off from the rest of the world. The dictator is paranoid about other countries conquering them. The dictator doesn’t attempt to heighten the living quality of his people. Instead, he focuses all his energy on the military. He claims that he believes that a low quality of life is better than no life at all. But, the dictator himself lives in prosperity. The public is sharply divided between supporting the dictator and opposing him. The dictator has troops in the towns and city, to keep the public in disarray.

Environment
Uccaro has drastic weather changes throughout the year. The weather is wildly unpredictable, but the people of Uccaro have systems set in place to protect the people, buildings, and farmland. The most common weather patterns are sandstorms, earthquakes, and constant rain, which can last for 3-6 days in a row.

Clothing
The people of Uccaro wear loose clothing, accentuated by armor and capes. The women wear tunics with a dress worn over pants and boots. They often pin up the dresses so they don’t get in the way of fighting or hunting. They wear a belt to hold tool, ammo, and weapons. They also wear a large head covering when hunting to protect themselves from the elements.
The men wear something similar to the women's. They wear an undershirt with a long tunic worn over pants and boots. They also wear a scarf-like head covering when hunting. They wear a belt-like cloth to hold tools, ammo, and weapons.

Gender
Like humans, the Uallex have men and women. The women tend to be darker colors than the men. The women tend to have softer facial features, unlike the men’s high cheekbones and sharp jawlines. The women’s skin tends to be more colorful than the men, being found in colors such as purple, white, green, and pink.

Religion
The Uallex worship one god: Vida, the god of life. It is taught that Vida has the power to give life and take it away. She is always reasonable, but She won’t answer your prayers if she sees darkness in your heart, or if you do not truly want what you are asking for. Many of Her followers have a shrine in their homes to Vida that has a candle and a plant at least. Her followers do not believe in sacrifice, as it is an insult to show power over life in a way of worship. However, Her followers condone hunting, as it is a way for Vida’s greatest creation to prosper.

Reproduction and Romance
The Uallex reproduce with internal fertilization. Their reproduction process strongly resembles humans’. The Uallex are pregnant for 4 months. The baby is born like human babies are.
When two Uallex want to marry each other, there is no specific ritual that they participate in. Most Uallex don’t have enough money for a days worth of groceries, let alone a wedding. Many times the Uallex will just whittle their partner a ring of some sort and declare it themselves.

Development
When the Uallex are born, they don’t have any scales. They just have soft, smooth skin. The scales start to grow in when they are 2 years old, along with the mouth discoloration. The Uallex are born with plenty of baby fat, just like humans, to protect them from the cold nights. They burn off this fat by 5 years old.

Diet
The Uallex are omnivores, meaning they eat meat. These are some of the animals native to Uccaro.
The first one is the vrex. This great beast walks the planet in large herds of 10-90. This animal isn’t built to run, but it’s hind legs are insanely strong. One kick from a vrex could kill a grown adult.
Next is the cazador. This predator lives in the desert and hunts in sandstorms, which happen often with the fickle Uccaro weather. The two smaller front arms are for picking through carcasses. It can reach speeds up to 140 miles/hour. Cazadors mainly hunt in groups of 2-5, but the largest group recorded consisted of 23.
Another animal is the pavo. This creature is fairly fast, being able to reach speeds of 40 miles/hour. The Uallex tame the pavo and ride them. The feathers on the pavos’ neck act as a warning to predators if they get too close. Pavo are relentless hunters, silently sneaking through the forest, stalking their prey, then attacking viscously.
